Mr. Meaty was actually a pretty good show. It had many original plots, some great characters and some tasteful humor. I love surrealism and it can make for a creative experience. Too bad the second season didn’t have any of those things.
I'll admit, I do remember this show from back in 2007. I'd admittedly thought it was all my imagination until like... Two or three years ago when I saw a video from Blameitonjorge covering it and a few other nightmarish scenes from kids shows. I think I also stopped watching Mr Meaty and quickly flipped channels after the tapeworm episode, which- I still remember vividly. It definitely would've fit more on Adult Swim than the regular Nick block.
for me I thought I had just imagined a really disturbing version of Good Burger but apon finding my copy of Nick Picks 5 I realized I was very VERY wrong
I loved this show as a kid and I still miss it. I'm shocked it was on Nickelodeon and I think it should've been on adult swim, probably would've survived longer.
Randomly watching your videos and then reading the comment section really makes me realize, no mind how weird of scary, this was someone’s childhood and very nostalgic lol
I was getting into middle school around when this show was airing, so I was at the exact right age to enjoy it. It is kind of interesting for me to see that so many people were traumatized by it, because that was never the case for me (but, then again, I was also never traumatized by Courage either, so maybe I just had different tolerance levels or something). For me, Mr. Meaty was one of the last gasps for that sort of "weird, gross, surreal" TV trend that the 90s started.
It's funny because I'm slightly younger than you (was in late elementary school when mr meaty came out) and I remember watching this and Courage like nothing but only having the existential dread when thinking back on mr meaty when I was a bit older 😂😂
The episode with the demon thing fucked me up real bad, but for the most part my brother and I loved watching it. It was a show we knew was too mature for us, but we could get away with it because we’d just tell our parents “it’s on Nickelodeon”, so we were regular viewers of this show even though we were way too young, and it shaped my sense of humour in so many ways. I still crack up watching that deep fried hand bit every time
It was a genius move for me to choose this video to watch while eating. The video is awesome though :-) I personally have never seen the show, but heard of it and just the synopsis of the tapeworm episode still freaks me out and makes me happy that I haven’t seen it in my childhood because I’d be damaged for the rest of my life
14:07 I say that every time I hear about a weird show from Canada. And honestly, I'm pretty sure that Canada's children's shows are their equivalent to British PSAs.
This show makes me the same kind of uncomfortable as Invader Zim's Dark Harvest. But it being a *whole series of just that kind of thing* makes it so much worse.
i hate the tape worm episode. not because it's shocking or graphic but because it overshadows the robot episode. watching that episode late at night back when nickelodeon was on 24/7 fucked me up
This show was a strange one and it really creeped me out. Something about the puppets in general unnerved me.

I was a mega fan of this as a kid. I visited the site constantly and would watch it every day. I remember all of it

I agree!! The shows definitely would’ve made it on Adult Swim. They could’ve cursed too in the show lmao

I went through a Puppet Phase while being a kid and Mr.Meaty is and still is one of my favorite childhood shows.
I remember seeing this on Nickelodeon and it always creeped me out. Though now in retrospect I can appreciate the weirdness this show had.

The creators of this show also made the toddler-centric show Nanalan.
How they went from that to Mr. Meaty is beyond me.
I remember watching this show, is it bad that I still think this show is funny?
Nope it is funny a show.
something is definitely wrong with me because this show was awesome
There is nothing wrong with you the show rules! Mr.Meaty is one the best Puppet TV shows ever.
In its first season, at least.
I legitimately thought this was an Adult Swim show
I think the weirder, broader adult swim shows, were made to watch while your high.
I also had one of the worst and most vivid dreams I've ever had because of this show. This show absolutely creeped me out!
I loved this show when I was a kid and have trying to remember it's name for a while now.

Well this didn’t age well.

I used to watch Mr. Meaty when I was a kid. I forgot about almost every episode that I watched, aside from bits and pieces of the tapeworm episode.
This show and Crash Box were my get high and watch shows when I was a teenager. Yeah, it really messed with my brain
I did not remember the shows name, theme song, character names, etc... But as soon as I saw the thumbnail I thought "oh god the tapeworm show"
This was my absolutely favorite show on the channel
Tapeworm episode was awesome
loved watching this show w my Daughter…so ridiculous and yet so fun
I remember seeing a bunch of these as a 6 or 7 year old
This show is like don’t hug me I’m scared
Mr. Wink
You’re so underrated!!
This show is exactly like dhmis! if not worse because it was marketed as a kids show.
I loved this show, the wtf moments were hilarious.
omg I totally forgot about this show. thanks for ruining my day 😂
They also made nanalana or whatever it was called. Also a creepy show.
I know people didn't like this show, I actually enjoyed it a lot myself. To be fair, I do have odd taste in shows, so I doubt if my opinion counts.
I loved the show. It was very unique and fun. Too bad season two wasn’t.
@@magnetoonproductions9541Yeah, I honestly wish they stuck with what Season 1 was going for.
what yall know about swami jeff
i hate the tape worm episode. not because it's shocking or graphic but because it overshadows the robot episode. watching that episode late at night back when nickelodeon was on 24/7 fucked me up
I remember watching the shorts on Nickelodeon
but the main show I remember watching Nicktoons Network
I remember liking this show as a teenager
Best show to watch while your high.
I think parkerina spawned my fear of transformation scenes.
I absolutely loved this show. It did not traumatize me. I'll never know why it got so much hate
Anyone remember the Mr. Meaty flash game that had you fishing in the deep fryer?
Solid perspective
Hey, I used to like the show as a kid.
Does anyone remember the episode where Parker becomes a “jerk”?
My favorite episode will always be Wedgelor
9:13 why?????
I love this show.
i’m here cuz of that macseal song
When I was younger i had a crush on Josh
What the fluff is this show even?! xD
