To add your shield is battle ready the only thing it's missing is gesso that said this should hold up great against synthetic blades if you wanted to use it.
That's a pretty awesome looking shield. Regardless of historical accuracy, it's a great design for a D&D or LARP style faction - perhaps a mercenary company called the Crescent Hand. And the price seems extremely fair for a custom design.
Lovely heraldry and shield, Thomas does amazing work, aswell dabbles into all types of shields, experimental ones from artwork aswell. Hope to get something from him myself eventually.

Years ago I used to think shields were overpriced given you could buy a I try sword for not much more. But after attempting to make some over the years I began to appreciate the effort required to make one. Unfortunately while the price of many shields is justified I certainly can't afford an accurate shield to test cut on... unfortunately
