Snow in November and now my garden is flooding, it has not stopped raining for ages and the groundwater is now so high that my rhizome trenches are moads.
The wind has been constant for ever here, all I seem to do is do running repairs to the polytunnel! I hope it the big freeze misses you Jochen, Happy new year!
Happy New year to you too. I hope it does too, but as it looks I am not going to be that lucky, but we'll see. Now I am glad that I don't have a poly tunnel, because with the winds we have been having here it would most probably be in the neighbours garden. I am just waiting for that big tree to come down 🙄
Halt durch Jochen! Same here! Ab heute aber kein Regen mehr für die nächsten 14 Tage. Fingers crossed! 😅 Maybe on Sunday we can go ice skating 😂 Alles Gute!
Happy New Year to you too 😉 knowing my luck I would be a elephant seal 😂. But man it really is bad and it is not getting better, the water is even pushing into the basement 🙄
I am so glad that I have sandy soil, although it brings its own issues. However I just want the water to go down a little seeing that, we are -5 c here on the weekend. Let's see what happens 🤔
Hello Jochen! We have had the same shit weather here. Rain all through the month of December. Lakes everywhere! Mind you, I'll take rain over snow. And we always have wind here. We live on a huge bluff on Lake Huron. I'm trying my best to overwinter a few plants indoors but they're getting so leggy and sad. I feel like that when I don't see the sun for a long time. 😉 Hope you are well and wish you and Jane health and happiness for 2024! 🎉🎊✨
Hi Tammy, all the best to you guys as well for 2024. Lake Huron is huge, and am sure it is bigger now with all the rain. Here is has been just horrible, the problem is that flooding in my garden is actually the groundwater level and it just keeps on coming. 🤨, The bananas I took inside are growing like mad, but also leggy because while they are in the window, the "light" is not enough. I cannot wait for spring, if we don't drown before hand 😂
@@jochen.allardice-grein I planted 4 lemon seeds a couple weeks ago. I can't really say why. 🤔 One has sprouted so far. I think they're a nice looking bush/tree. Any tips??
@@tammythompson1927 Jane does that a lot, she puts seeds in the ground or pots, but forgets to water them, that is my responsibility 🙂. I never had (but always wanted) a lemon tree, they need a shit load of sun and water well but infrequently (they should dry out some, not all the way) between watering. But I would assume that the full sun requirement is only once the baby has grown somewhat, I got a grow light for my birthday, I'd use one of them if you have one. Let me know how you get on with the tree.

Oh man I see now what you mean! Sorry about the water but man... You're hilarious. 100% the most entertaining gardening channel i've found to date.
Thank you so much ☺
Waterworld! Show us the gills behind your ears! 😂. Happy New Year brother.

😳This is amazing
This sucked... and it stayed that way for a few days
Great idea.
To get the boat? Jane has been dying to get a boat, her family always had a yacht in their life power or sailing.
