Hurt myself in work and made homeless following a section 21 eviction.
I appealed all decisons by DWP and got back pay over £10,000.
Some folk linger in the system for years waiting for housing, I've been somewhat fast tracked. A flat offered within 5 months, people here waiting 2+ years, how?
Blacks law dictionary and alot of Correspondence, meetings, complaints.
That said, my bank card says Master, the council have me on record as master, if I make a complaint, something gets done. Why?
Do not opt out, use Legislative measures, appeals and determination.
Council Tax Liability has Legislative reasons why you would not be Liable, instead of creating a million reasons, use one of their own.
We need the system to realise we know how to use it as well as they do. We cannot opt out, so be sure to claim and be liable for whatever you are.
If Regulations say you have disability entitlement, claim it.
If you suffer injury this includes the mind, have it documented and registered with DWP, you maybe Compensated for it.
Alot of great ppl, /groups standing up to this fraud and fake courts, ppl need to start going to there local Mps 🎉

I haven’t paid CT or gas and electric for more than 2 years - I do not engage with anyone, had debt collectors at my door 3 or 4 times for CT - I did answer the door one time and said I didn’t know who they were talking about so they put the letter through the letter box. I have no fear whatsoever just angry at being taken for a mug all these years. Worked for 40 years paid tax, mortgage and never been in debt. Then told I have to wait until I’m 67 before getting a state pension!!! Meanwhile every Tom, Dick and Harry who comes across the channel in a dingy get put up in a hotel, all expenses paid and given money to live on. People need to grow a backbone and stop being worried about someone turning up at their door. No wonder the world is in this mess, if we keep acting like slaves we will continue to be treated like slaves.

my letter box is blocked. They have eff all power unless we give it to them. I have em on my tail constantly. I’ve done DSARs etc. I’m a vulnerable person etc. Yet still they persist. Quite sad really. At this point I’ll never give in and I know law a hell of a lot more than any one of these knuckle draggers!

Water should never have been privatised
It wasn't: the owners and beneficiaries: us, were never asked and never gave our consent. They have no Deed of Trust, the water network is stolen property, and their profits are owed to us still.
It's not. It's a scam. It's a registered company that is already paid by UK Gov. It's a right and therfore cannot be taken away. That's the end of it. Never paid. Never had a problem.
I was glad the irish at least topped dthe payments of water but they kept the quango company urish water who are at best actually mentally challenged at worst completely corrupt messes.
You should not even be paying for clean unpolluted water. It's essential for life. It's a right not a privilage.

I looked up my town council & at least 5 of them have been on that £3-5,000 tax payer funded course.
If anyone who works for the council are seen to act with integrity, or not woke enough, they will be removed and replaced with somebody who will tow the line.

someone once said to me they prey on your fear to extract your money, you see this clear as day the moment you lose the fear, once they know this their attitudes change
Once someone looks at theior actions, and realises that they are deliberately attacking everything about us all the time: driving, travel, town centers, parking etc - the fear goes, because we know it's a war, so compliance is fatal.
Do not complete data mining requests from the council - you have no contract with them and they have no authority over you.
Maybe put them in knowledge of the reasons why. Have no (contractual) jurisdiction over you. For the avoidance of doubt.
At top of letter under name and address block, insert: Notice To Agent Is Notice To Principal And Notice To Principal Is Notice To Agent Applies.

As a member of the armed services serving in Germany from 89 to 91 i paid either poll or council tax despite not being in the uk., this included a period in the desert for the first gulf war then camping in a Turkish hell hole trying to help the Kurds after the conflict, still paying the tax as my family was left in Germany. Now that is unfair.
The court actually told me the council hire a room and hold their own court, the lady tod me it was nothing to do with the court whatsover. This was 2 years ago!
What is 'the court' - there is no 'the court' . A magistrate signs the liabilitiy orders and hears submissions - how much more of a court can that be?

@@Elaine-qi6sc I never said it was not true. It is YOUR use of 'the court' that is a misaprehension. There is no 'the court' there is only 'a court'. Council tax hearings are conducted by a Magistrate in a court building so it is 'a court'. It is not the normal Magistrate's criminal court, nor county court. It is, as you say, a special court just for council tax and other council matters.

I went with a friend to court recently. I watched & heard the council staff go round everyone there for CT trying to persuade them not to go into the court room. I overheard one tell a young girl that if she went into court room she’d most likely end up in a far worse situation & she’d be better off setting up a payment plan. How I held my breath I don’t know. Complete & utter liars.
I would have had to tell her the truth and just go into court..
They have to offer to set up a payment plan, it is part of the process and the court would expect the council to have explored all avenues to recover the debt before taking it to court. If the judge is satisfied all efforts have been made they will issue a judgment debt. This is the point where it is out of the hands of the council tax people and debt recovery take over. At that point you start racking up extra expenses added onto the debt. Not a good situation to be in.

@@kt63ary You really are in a worse situation because once a judgment debt is declared that destroys your credit score and you are liable for reasonable costs in recovering the debt on top of the original sum. The debt can then be handed over to debt collectors, many of whom are borderline criminals. If you want that hanging over you fine, but it does put you in a worse position.

The only way to stop these frauds is for everyone to ignore them completely . People have the power they just don't realise it !

When you own a property you can have an attachment put against it and at a last resort forced to sell the property and the first to receive their money is the one who put the attachment against the property in the first place.
Working for 30 to 40 years then risking having it taken from you isnt a risk many are willing to take no matter how unjust they think things are.
If your in rented property its a lot less risk if things go wrong and things going wrong has and is happening even now and people are finding out the hard way .
Thats whats holding so many people back.
Ill finish by saying if a government can freeze a nations state assets (Russia) and look for ways to confiscate them what chance does the average Joe have ?

Not paid water nearly 3 years now...went to kanga court and all well into this and a long way with mortgage stuff....we live in one big unravelling scam...big time...loved every minute of this....music to the senses...bravo.
I haven't paid for my water since August 2022, due to the introduction of SMART water meters which I was made to have instead of the mechanical water meter. I said no before it was installed and they said that the meter wasn't on my property it was under the public pavement - but it is still connected to my property I said... I went for help to the CWW but they don't deal with meters and the CWW is funded by the water companies anyway - no bias there then - hey?

Stopped paying my water rates 21 years ago when they were privatised ( now owned mostly by a French investment company ) .occasionally they send me a bill I just throw it straight in the bin . Not payed poll tax for seven years ether .

Any place is a court, if the victim _consents_ . They use our ignorance against us: 'Please State your NAME for the Court': if you say your official HMRC name, that is _consent_.
It's also fraud, but if we don't spot fraud, fraud is legal.

Goood interview Richard. Thanks to mick. Im in a similar boat but wouldn't bother going to a fake court. I have asked the council for a bill or an invoice for services provided. But obviously i havent had any. I moved closer to work in 2020 and immediately had a DEMAND for payment? I do not like anybody DEMANDING anything of me. Two weeks later around march we had the crackdown for the planademic. So i was furloughed. Two months at 40% pay?( Bet the government and council got 100%. Plus!). My bins were full from previous tennant and they would not empty them. I stated this as a reason not to pay. My bins then vanished! So i have no service and no contract! Had bailiffs etc. But told them to fcuk off. I have a private gated drive( key). And i lock it every night. They once clamped ny car( illegallly). But it only took me ten minutees to figure out how to take it off. Since crackdown i have not paid anything. No council tax income tax national insurance electric ulez etc etc etc. Stuff em. Ps. My landlord was stealing my electricity and i asked for it to be investigated. But they havent. So.. stuff em all. Ive had enough and im not tsking it anymore. Viva le revolution. They need taking down. Also like to state im not paying for war, ukraine aid, or foreign aid or illegal immigrants! Our governments are corrupt complicit and tresanous and need to be audited financialy for fraud and treason and sedition. 😮

The fraud, the lies, the aggressive bullying and threats. Is endemic in all council departments including social services, child safeguarding housing benefits and elderly care etc. In my experience theyre vicious people.
Our council seem to think that they are an authority over the public. There is no transparency in their spending whatsoever.

I’ve not paid since last year, had 2 summons, sent one back, which was cancelled. I’ve asked questions they just refer me back to the web site. I haven’t refused to pay, and asked them again for the information.
What Questions did you ask?
That’s the key as I have heard if a real judge got wind of that and you stated (and proved) you have put the money aside and are NOT refusing to pay, there is’nt much they can do. Apart from the usual heavy handiness with their own PRIVATE thugs.

When the council sends through their tender very shortly, I shall be writing to them to decline their offer. I shall be appointing a private waste collection company and none of the other services will be missed

I remember when MPs were getting roasted for expenses and flipping houses, someone remarked that it was nothing compared to what goes on in councils but nothing ever happened, no enquiries, nothing

What our local South London council did was to send a 'summons', and when you got to the magistrates' court, none of the council tax debtors were listed there for hearing by the magistrates: there were just two tables set up in the public waiting area outside the courts, each table staffed by two council officials. All they did was to try to make arrangements with the two long queues of people to pay off the council tax. So I just walked out and heard nothing more. The courts shouldn't allow the council to use them in this way.
It is a private company being your council which is charging you . They will play rough to get it too, especially if you are vulnerable and of low status.

It only really hit me like a steam train last week. We are paying for petrol, that they mine from the ground, that belongs to ALL OF US . Who gave them the right to steal it as their own. You buy your land, house, factory, whatever, and then they tell you what you can and can't do on it. They tax you on it. Basically, you paid for something you don't own. Those goes on and on. Car registration, income tax, GST, import tax, export tax, just every single bloody thing is taxed and grifted, and robbed. How did I get to 51 years old before I realised what an absolute rort this system is. I just accepted that things ran smoothly because we all complied and paid .. they REALLY screwed themselves with their c***d scam. It made so many people wake up
Sorry to everyone I didn't explain it very well. The distilled water is great I meant when I tested the distilled water it didn't change, and what I mean it didn't change like the tap water to a black green orange chemical sludge looking mess. No distilled water is all I use.

That was a fantastic & fascinating interview, thank you! I understood what you were getting at about the water. I used to keep Koi Carp & was fascinated with water quality, testing the PH, DH, Nitrites, Nitrates etc etc but also in various settings; bottled, tap water, pond, filter, stagnant etc etc (I must’ve been so boring 😂) A tiny part of one of my jobs was also monitoring every aspect of the pumping stations in Cheshire. However, whenever I used to contact NWWater with various questions, I could never gather any answers as to when & what times chemicals were added or any other questions. So, good on you for challenging these people & the others representing the council. I hate them all but thankfully no longer live in Britain. A president once said, quote, "if the people ever find out what we do, have done, there would be a civil war" unquote. I contacted the council tax office, about a reduction to my council tax, as I'm disabled and very old. She told me they needed three months back bank statements and fill in a 30 odd page form. I told her that won't happen, what right do they have to go through my bank statements? Rudely she replied, " I don't care, I'm just an order follower. Do it, or don't, I just do as I'm told " My point is this, they think (wrongly) we are subservient to them,. So it's a case of, shut up, do as your told and just pay up. Kudos to this Man for his information.

Richard last night on radio 4 it was about bailiffs (enforcement officers)...People unable to pay council tax...these Bailiffs buy the debt at auctions!...the investigation was about their abuse and force to get people to pay...One lady was asked to pay in kind!...another went through her undies drawer and made personal comments...others forced their way in,never let them get one foot over the door or they will not go...It's quite big business and they are thugs...Liked this interview,more and more public are listening and fighting back...Great guest much respect...🤗
From the day you're born you are a commodity, they buy and sell your debit, credit, assets. if you have debt and repay a certain amount each month, this is sold on. When your birth is registered, it's hooray for government , another asset.

The council tax is like an existence tax, they certainly aren't providing the services they're meant to provide!
A large percentage of the council tax is to pay their wages for doing nothing no road repairs police send crime numbers instead of appearing at the crime scene extra charges on recycling which you are doing yourself and funding migrants that don't pay the tax at all

Great interview! It's worth mentioning that you don't get sent to prison for non-payment of Council Tax. You're actually sent to prison for contempt of court for rejecting the jurisdiction of the judges or Magistrates if/when you declare that you're not paying. By attending court, you accept their jurisdiction. When you then reject their jurisdiction, whilst standing under their jurisdiction, you're committing contempt of court ✌️❤️✌️
I’ve done exactly the same thing, and I’ve been fighting the council since 2018 been to court umpteen times and I don’t deal with the bailiffs at all . And mine is still on going. I did get sentence to prison for two weeks but this was for contempt of court in 2019.
Contempt of court even though it is still a council court? So a kangaroo court has the authority to get you locked up!

Just received 2 very large packs from the council applying for a charging order on our home.
Their last attempt of their corrupt system to steal money
What will happen now?
Not sure how well up/ informed you are on these matters ?
And if you've got it all covered then apologises.
To Enforce a Council Tax Liability Order the Enforcement Firm, or Collector or Bailiff
must have a ''Certified Stamped Copy'' issued by the Court, of the Liability Order.
But the Court can not provide a ''Certified stamped Copy'' to anybody because it
is not allowed as per the Clerk to the Justice Rules in that these Courts do
not follow ''Magistrates Court Due Process''.
So- Here is the Problem-
1/ The Local Government Act 1888 clearly states:
“…this Act shall not authorise any county council or any committee or member thereof… to exercise any of the powers of a court of record; …to exercise any jurisdiction under the Summary Jurisdiction Acts, or perform any judicial business, or otherwise act as justices or a justice of the peace”.
And then 2/
The Law by which Enforcement Officers and Bailiffs are strictly controlled under the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007. Schedule 12 which details that the enforcement officer must show their identity and the Proof of Authority from the Court that entitles them to be on the premises.
And it further states in in the 2007 Act Schedule 12 at -
Paragraph 25-
[3] The authorisation -
[a] may be by Order or in a Warrant under paragraph 15
[b] may be subject to conditions
Paragraph 26 [1] The enforcement agent must on request show the debtor and any person who appears to him to be in charge of the premises evidence of -
[a] his identity
[b] his authority to enter the premises
Meaning that no Enforcement Officer or Bailiff would-
a] have any right to be on a persons premises regarding Council Tax and
[b] no Enforcement Officer of Bailiff could enforce a Council Tax Liability Notice issued by a Council because that as issued by the Council is not a Court Order.
So they can only apply for a ''Charging Order'' if they have proof of a
Certified Copy of the Liability Order issued and stamped by the Court
which the Court can not supply to them.
Hope that helps in some small way.

I'm currently going through this same process and I've done what Mick did and put the money aside, but I have not intention of handing it over, I missed my court case today unfortunately as I had to wash my hair. I am now waiting to see if the magistrate is going to respond to my FOIR and then it's off to the council ...

As an American, I deal with this on my end, though with different language. Fascinating to watch everybody going through the struggle in different ways, and different countries. Whereas we (former British colonies) are all under the same commonwealth, and common law, our processes will be very similar. We all need to learn from this and learn to apply it where we live.

People need to be aware of their rights but unfortunately the system blocks that knowledge from us. Do you realise that any Tom, Dick or Harry can apply to be a Magistrate. No legal experience necessary. As long as you are over 18 and not of retirement age you're good to go. If accepted for the job a Magistrate gets minimal legal training in by-laws so they can rubber stamp fines etc. People have the false illusion that the person running the court is fully legally trained but in reality it could be your neighbour who just wanted a job on the side. A false illusion of power.

In South Wales, Rhondda Valleys to be more precise, the Council Tax is also supposed to be use to the benefit of the people who pay it, we are supposed to have services provided. Let's take an example of one service - refuse collection. What's happed over the past three years is that the council tax has gone up, but refuse collection has now been reduced so that black bags are collected every three weeks - and then only two bags. They used to collect in the mornings - early, but now they come in the afternoon. Worse though is that we all know, come January, that there are going to be roadworks all over the place until April - spending the money on these mostly pointless repairs that they should have spent on services, when they can ask central government for more money because "this is how much we've spent over the past 12 months." We have had temporary traffic lights on a mountain road that leads in and out of the valley for two years, sod all has been done - absolutely nothing - but they give themselves a huge rise every year. Pol Tax was bad - Council Tax and our corrupt and conniving officials are a lot wose.

I live in Rochdale. Wequite a few years had our fully servicable council buildings demolished and replaced by a new, water powered building, by the river, which has been prone to flooding, with its electrics under the floor, and a library on the ground floor. it is now surrounded by sandbags as they realised that watter, electricity, and combustible material are noy a good mix. They then spent exhorbitant money opening up the buried river in the town centre. The council tax was used to pay for all this, and was raised, and NO DISCOUNTS FOR ANYONE. A pparently they can do this , so I now pay, as a disabled part time worker, on 12 hour contract at minimum wage, pay the same as a full time worker with a family. ALL DUE TO BAD DECISIONS WE HAD NO SAY / CHOICE IN.
Everybody needs to do what this gentlemen is doing and hold the council accountable for real transparency and justice for all tax payers

Councils have been USING the Courts stamp, even issuing letters to bailiffs with the stamp to threaten public into paying fees whether C tax o, parking fines/clamp and bailiffs for years,
But this is great I've said it for years about misuse of tax money - I'm about to challenge
