CBBAG welcomes Kathryn Harvey, an Archivist from the McLaughlin Library, who will speak about the Lucy Maud Montgomery collection housed in the Archival and Special Collections at the University of Guelph.
Kathryn has a Ph.D. in English from the University of Alberta and an MLIS from Dalhousie University. She has been working for more than 20 years as an archivist at Dalhousie and the University of Guelph, which she headed from 2009 to 2020. She is a former President of the Association of Canadian Archivists (2015-2016) and former Senior Associate Editor of the scholarly archival journal Archivaria (2020-2022). She has given talks in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia on various archival subjects. She was involved in making 50 items from Guelph’s LMM collection available for the 2014 multi-city exhibit tour of Japan and attended the Tokyo opening. In 2017, she assisted in the creation of an Archival and Special Collections in-house exhibit on Rilla of Ingleside.
