NEW W235R- Worth the Upgrade??

  • We have around 400 acres on the new windrowers so far and wanted to share our thoughts/first impressions. Overall we are very pleased with the machines, the updates are noticeable and well worth the upgrade in our opinion. Let us know what you think in the comments!
    Things we love:
General cab updates (new look, new feel, very quiet)
Joystick (reduced wrist fatigue, more control options, there are a few operational differences that took some time to get used to)
Seat (extremely comfortable, the active seat is impressive)
    Header controls from the cab
    Things we like:
    Mirrors (great visibility)
Finally a better radio (Bluetooth connects quick, each machine has a unique Bluetooth name, no more trying 10 different BOSCH-BT to find the right machine)
    Lights
    Things that still need work:
Header edge needs to be rounded off (cuts crop off at high speeds)
Dual batteries(?) (we had problems with the old machines, we were hoping to see two batteries, haven't had any issues yet though)
    Wishlist:
    Microwave/TV (been asking for years...)
    Massaging seat/signature edition option

Why buy such a small and self propelled mower (only 1 use)??
Why not a tractor and a triple mower? You can use the tractor for other work ...

Seems you could easily add some round tubing with mounting tabs to the edge to prevent crop damage at speed by using the existing skirting bolts.

Yes, I don’t think it even needs to be steel, just something to cushion the impact, we’re gonna work on it this winter. Thanks.

@@rubymountainhaygrain9304 Some cheap PVC pipe would round it over or some of those pool noodles or foam pipe insulation would make a soft edge. Gorilla tape in a few spots would allow testing without permanent alteration of the mower. Heck that stuff is durable ...you might use it as the permanent system and refresh the tape each season. Nascar uses it at 200 mph! LOL

Technology can be used for good or bad, and man never seems to know when to quit. When these massive crop producing machines advance to the point where humans are no longer needed, what will all those crops be grown for?

    • @mwnciboo
      @mwnciboo 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Feeding everything and also Chemicals.... Corn makes Ethanol which is used in an awful lot of products. If man quit on technology populations would collapse infant mortality would soar and human life expectancy would go back to medieval period of like 45 years old.
So f*ck your position on Technology.
Also you commented on Technology on a Computer / tablet / phone - on a Video platform - definition of a hypocrite - so sod off to the woods like Ted Kazinsky.

Hello, how many hectares does this machine work per day?

    • @rubymountainhaygrain9304

In good conditions 20+ acres/hour, or about 8 hectares/hour if my conversion is correct.. depends how long your day is😄

    What’s the point 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
That investment for just three meters and then it’s good for nothing else
Get 9mtrs for same price and use tractor year round
That is just a waste of fuel and money

    • @rubymountainhaygrain9304

These are 16foot or 5 meter heads, this hay is going through a baler after being twin raked, so dry hay not haylage, this is a good fit for conditioning the hay and dry down.
I assume you are are referring to a tractor mounted triple mower, the ones I've seen don't have a roller conditioner, and you have to drive on more hay for turn around and the 3 windrows as opposed to 2 windrows is a problem for raking. But yes, your right it takes a lot of acres to justify $

      @mungogerryjnr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@randytaylor4092 not sure but you can rest assured it’s going to cost too dollars but that’s the price you pay for supreme equipment.
I suggest teddering because it’s not only faster drying but even windrows after raking.
I used Krone gear and I’m 100% confident it’s superior!
They are awesome to work on and parts supply isn’t matched by others
Seeing is believing, have a look at the beast BigM 14 mtr
If they make that and six rotor rakes, they are proven themselves!
