Hey, seems like the game has come out for open beta for a limited time right now, i think there's been a few changes that they made that's looking different since you made this video, will you be making a video about it? One big thing is the change for the grenades, its not tied to characters anymore now in global. Not sure what other changes they made tho because i just played too! Thanks for the video tho telling us about these changes!
I'm Brazilian and although I defend the localization of games based on the territory where they will be made available, I prefer that certain terms and names are kept faithful to the game's origin concept, this not only values the origin of the developers but also gives the game a differentiator in the market . Although cultures are different for each person, I respect them in the same way I would like mine to be respected and the culture and aesthetics of not only China but Asia is one of the richest and most visually beautiful on earth.
Sometimes no, there are names in Chinese that I can't even pronounce or remember because they are so strange (I'm also Brazilian btw, and I watch a lot of Chinese films with subtitles)
@@lucasp-max343 But it's pretty easy to learn the how to pronounce a character's name, plus it brings the interest in learning more about at least a little about the culture of the place the game has originated from. I, for example, know pretty much nothing of chinese, but i try to learn the names of characters i like from chinese games, becouse it makes me feel closer to the characters and the history the game is offering. And yes, i'm too am Brazilian, probably everyone in this comment section will be.
@@eubug6981 That’s delusional to think people will suddenly want to learn more about Chinese culture because a character’s name is Chinese lol. It’s actually more beneficial for names to be simpler in most games hence why it’s done so often other countries struggle to get used to longer multiple syllable intricate eastern names. It is not easy remembering name in games especially if you play plenty of different games. Please stop trying to make gaming about sharing cultures unless it’s actually part of the games design like naraka or call of duty. Some games are just designed to be enjoyed for what it is and not to enlighten you on its country’s culture.
@@blueeyeswhitekarin3267 i'm just saying how it works for me, i learned a lot about other languages after geeting interested in a character or place that simbolizes that place in a game, so i'm sure that have more people like me out in the world. It's not everyone who thinks simpler is better.
Looks like they changed those things you've mentioned for the latest closed beta test. I agree, those changes would have been really bad to keep. I like the knockdown system, and I like the grenades. I will agree that Astridrreeo or whatever the hell they named Xinghue is absolutely ridiculous, but they did change it to Celestia and I think that's a lot better. I personally think name changes are good, because a lot of Western people find it hard to connect with names that are too Chinese. We see this with Wuthering Waves where it is an actual complaint that a lot of the characters names are too hard to memorize. Strinova from Calabiyau is probably better too, but I don't think there is a lot wrong with Calabiyau. One mistake I think they are making with this CBT is no EU server. There are plenty of people in EU who would love to try this game, and they should have a server instead of playing at 150+ ping.
They changed her name for Celestia, which is kind of generic but not sucks like the other one thankfully. I would have preferred them to keep the names in Chinese but with, you know, American-readable letters, although it's also easier to remember their names in the global one.
So far, I think the changes made for global are alright. Strinova is definitely a lot easier to pronounce than Calabiyau for American's or native English speakers. I think the main drive that can hold back the full launch globally (at least in the english space) is the art style. It's "anime shooter" tag can and will turn off CS or even some valorant players from trying the game. Nades has been changed and gameplay is great.
@@Sleepp10 I really love that they listened ❤️ I got used to Celestia too. It's not so bad when you under Strinova= String and Nova which is still related to the Calabiyau manifold
the name change thing for astierreo sounds like the cn names too hard for basic en players to say and using xiao as a comparison aint really fair since the difficulty in pronunciations miles apart also i understand disliking the name change because it is disrespectful but as you said this games probably going to be a global cash grab most games that release cn months ahead then global are

God I hate tencent after they ruined so many games that had potential
I am Chinese, and I can guarantee that this game is not Tencent's, not Tencent's, not Tencent's, Tencent does not have such strong creativity!
@@Hangyuyao Thank you for the comfirmation
Tencent is only the publisher though? Publisher usually only gives developers information about customer care and marketing@@Hangyuyao

Well I mean, the thing that will kill this game is if the gacha affects the pvp in any p2w way completely throwing balance out of the window
they fixed nade system thankfully

Hope they add different game modes too, like DM and TDM etc.
Oh they do have that~ just not ranked
@@ZackieSenpai Oh nice thats good to hear, thanks!
You can turn 3d into 2d that is very creative lmao
Hopefully anticheat will be great and game would not be overrun by cheaters. If it will happen then Chinese servers will be the only choice
pretty sure they reverted the grenade system to the same original content to CN 😍
I wish I could tag Calabiyau ( Strinova ) devs here
Just send the link to saya. :XinghuiTired: he is the only guy alive on the mod team
😂 this is funny cause Tencent owns a portion of basically every gaming company
Why would tencent keep it they have valorant

@@ZackieSenpai NOOOOOOOO
@@ZackieSenpai u sure?? i saw its requirement on steam is 4gb
@@tarantula51he probably mean "Probably will, not very demanding"

might just stick with chinese version
How can we play the Test?
it's closed beta
register cbt and pray to your luck
I just want to know when mobile when ?
I don't think they will make mobile right now since the pc global sever havent launched yet
Who plays competitive shooters on mobile dude
im scared of tencent
我可以保证这个游戏不是腾讯的
@@Hangyuyao thank you
Is it possible to play strinova from au? (CN version)
yea i have been playing (get lower ping than most ppl not in china at like 120ish)
I'm from south america, yes you can. Even with 300 ping the game moves smoothly
Ryoiki Tenkai ! ! Strinova Suspension ! ! !
hey, the unofficial community of Calabiyau welcomes you asking you NSFW content. what the hell???
does the global release include eu servers?
it’s called global it’s gonna be everywhere, except likely africa
Terncent ruin almost every game
calabiyau Mobile beta info please update
I playing calabiyau i saw at client when login merch xinghui pict but the name is "celestia" that better then as- whatever is that hahahha
10cent being 10cent
Video is kinda stupid, but game looking interesting
why the f they can transform in goofy ahh flying paper?
Because anime
Because 2d waifus are better than 3d of course!
@cammy04 "goofy ahh" tf? Lmao
@@isseihyoudou1547 :D ... they had little sudden orgasm while typing, don't judge
Never mind
25 smc the add villar
the only thing that's really weird is the whole transforming into 2D/paper mechanic... why is that a thing? why did they think people would like it?
because we really like it
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
cause it's creative and cool instead of being generic anime shooter number 5782593
Cause it adds depth. Without these mechanics it's just a generic third person shooter
honestly many people actually like it because of how weird it is, that alone are a good reason to try at least
It's as goofy as unique, so it adds some identity to the game, which is always good when you are entering the already populated market.
"My virginity" ~TNTT6DG
using traditional weapon is hard already for me, now i need to use those bunch of weird skill. DDAMMMMNNN
