This is why I always tell people I make builds for myself. So if they make it, and aren't effective, that's on them. Make builds that fit how "YOU" are most effective playing.
This is the only way anyone should be playing. Make your builds do what you plan to do. Maximize on how you plan to play.
Facts, I be seeing some this build videos that I just can't mess with I make about 7 to 10 builds a year I like to bring w,e my squad needs or simply just how I feel like playing that day

Brute wasn’t hating though. He was just telling his viewers what to be cautious of. Which he does all the time. But because this is an exploit that Swante uses, all of sudden he pops up with this BS.
IMO, that's 1 of the issue with the 2K community... 1 person or group talking about ways to improve the game, while other just want to be louder/more animated and question people's intelligence when anyone doesn't agree with what they say/feel.
If we all came together (park, rec, proam, MT, etc) to hold Take2 Interactive accountable, rather than attack each other, 2K would have no choice but to deliver a better product/experience.
We so busy fighting amongst each other, 2k is pushing out a FULL price live service game, that is bug ridden, they change 2 months into it, and they abandon mid cycle... not to mention they were one of the 1st companies to implement raising game prices.

The truth is the 2k community will never totally agree because there are ppl all on different levels and like different aspects of the game. That’s why contact dunks can still happen without the meter. For some people its just too hard for. Look at the rest of the world there’s enough people saying one thing and enough saying the other to the point nothing that needs to get done does. It will never be perfect. We can’t even get them to lower vc prices. U really can’t even buy clothes if you want to make more than 3 players at this point

Every offensive player is always >200 ms ahead of the defender when you account for latency and the limits of human reaction time. As long as you can move your player to the left and right, and switch the ball hand on command, you can score on anyone anytime if you make the right reads as an offensive player.

If anyone wants to see a low speed with ball without spending alot, the hybrid lockdown and defensive menace has a 35 speed with the ball. Its definitely a difference
Im on the side that make a build that fits you. Cause me if I make a pg build with lacking defense, imma go try to act like a lock like i usually do and get upset. The builds I make are to run with my guys, and we just need back end defense and pant defenders, which has been my play style. Most of these other builds I’ve seen I think are cool but they don’t match me and what ik I can do/ want to do
It’s crazy because I’m the video koza said u basically gotta know how to speed boost effectively, L2 cancel and left stick cancel if your gonna use a low speed with ball otherwise u should practice before trying to use that😭is that not a warning?

For me, I try to find the low-key guys shakedown is probably the only top guy that I might make build from but our play style is similar That guy T-cat has some good finesse builds

I stopped playing as much bro, life got in the way but I’m glad life did cause I logged way too many hours in the game, 2k went the greedy route not caring about the game and I’m tired of giving them my hard earn dollars to play a basketball game every year with no real changes and always having to pay for vc even though I already paid on the previous game

Long response, so bear with me.
Brute was just giving his honest opinion on bad defense against an experienced content creator's build. Not one time did he say anything negative about Koza or his low speed w/ ball build.
He simply cautioned the average player against making that type of build and thinking they're going to have success with it if they don't know how to exploit it.
Swante went over the top in his response/reaction to Brute. While he made valid points, he didn't have to make it personal. He doesn't like the sim community and that's his perogative. He is allowed to have his opinion just like anyone else. The delivery could have been better for sure.
Brute says all the time that he is a casual player (aka Rec Warrior). He has fun running with a few players from his squad and his viewers during his live streams. Swante is going full entertainer mode and being extra during his live streams. There is space for both on this platform. Brute already said he won't get into a back-and-forth with Swante and I respect that.
What's unfortunate is if Take-Two is watching all of this go down, they're loving the divide in the community. 2K/Take-Two does not care about anybody but themselves and they let everyone know it every chance they get. Instead of everyone going to war against Take-Two/2K, we're at war with each other. It's extremely disheartening to watch and hear.
See this why respect you bro literally you said everything I just mentioned. People need to draw the line in the sand.

I play with a undersized big and it works for me I wouldn’t recommend tho I also have been playing all year without a high speed with ball and it works great for me that to I wouldn’t recommend 😅

Koza is a sharpshooter lockdown, right? Hes moving nice as a secondhand ballhandler without speed with ball because hes just three hunting I dont think he's looking for dunks or layups
Swante's take would be right in normal circumstances. However with 2k CEO getting bonuses with microtransactions, it is to 2k CEO's benefit for creators to make bad build videos for the "casual" player. This way the "casual" player will make a build, thinking that they will play like their favorite creator and wind up making another build when it doesn't work out or if a patch comes out invalidating the build. 2k's CEO wins both ways.
The game will never come out balanced. Any balance patch will swing things wildly one way or the other which will cause more spending. This is why I agree with Brutalsim as it's more on the content creators and their messaging. Because 2k will always go for microtransactions.

Who doesn't have fun beating on inferior opponents? Lol I noticed and commented alot that when watching all city play pg he spams the same 3 moves all game and uses the cheeses to beat up on inferior opponents at that position.
So it's fair n good to hear the admittance of the medium level cheese heads picking on low level opponents are demolished in the game sets where comp is equal or better.
U dont get copy right for the "Not like Us" song fyi anybody can use the song thats why so many ppl been using it in their videos... Kendrick did that on purpose to make sure its played everywhere and everyone hear it with no restrictions

I remember I got into a heated debate with Swante on his own channel involving how and to what extent players on 'NBA 2K' should be allowed to dribble compared to the actual NBA. You always know you're getting the better of someone in a debate when they start referencing you as a 'weirdo' for no reason and without really knowing you. In my opinion, alot of TH-camr's who create content for NBA 2K have playstyle's more similar to 'streetball' as opposed to 'organized basketball'. If they really implemented all the rules that are actually in the game of basketball, alot of gamers wouldn't be able to play NBA 2K the way they do.

Been doin this since 1993 on NBA Live 94. Thats why I love this game, life is short to play this unstable Multiplayer with high delay input to it? Its been 2 decades never change. So I stick on how you play NBA sim. I love this game.

I stopped tuning into Swante after I had dealings with him on the business side. Not a huge fan of the guy personally but he definitely has valid points about 2k24 and even though I'm not a big fan of the dude at all I won't let it cloud my judgement. Brute is also right too. Both sides aren't wrong and there's something to be taken from the Sim and Comp sides

A "meta" is literally a part of every competitive online PVP game. As long as 2K has that element and allows players to pick specific animations, we will always have a meta. I never liked that Swante kid. He comes off as a know-it-all and never looks at anything from someone else's POV.
There are two types of 2k players. The cheesers and the realistics, this was a month long debate that set the community off before the game even came out and we saw people get exposed. 2k24 was a simulation game and it was balanced for 2 weeks of release. The cheesers(swante) complained and the cheese(unrealistic basketball moves) came right back. Not buying 2k25 til all the bs is out the way and we get an untouched balanced game.
Swante is young. Brutal is older

I dont make build videos because personally people might not like my build or its just not the build for them and then they wasted their vc on it and some builds these creators make is trash so 2k community do your own builds because the creators that make these builds is for them not for you.
