the thing that amazes me the most is that you could have heard a pin drop.. from the time he started, and it took them five seconds or so total silence... not sure if there are any other auditions that went that way
I'm so glad you did this video of the AGT version of "Creep"! Just beautiful....
I really appreciate his having presented us with the full song in the studio version, but this performance has a greater intensity to both the intimate opening and closing sections and the dramatic middle section. I wonder whether he was actually playing the piano while he was singing in the studio version. That could be a little distracting when you're not singing directly on the beats. Either way, he was seated, and I suspect that was at least part of the difference. And then there is an energy exchange between performer and audience in a live performance that is totally different from anything else I've ever experienced. Just my own musings. Take them for what you think they're worth.

Only 1 correction, BJC was on Season 11 of AGT in 2016 (he finished in 4th place).
I timed out the note he held in the middle. He held it for 26.38 seconds!!

I am so glad you did a reaction to this version. I saw your other reaction to the version on his website but it really pales in comparison to this one. The drama, the feelings, the way he does this is magical musical genius.
