    Fun fact: the book that starts “In the beginning. It was a nice day.” is Good Omens.

    I gotta say the "Our car" exchange is one of my favorite moments in this episode.

      That was very married of Aziraphale to say.

    DT's son immediately out-fruiting his dad towards Michael Sheen will never not be funny to me

    I’m pretty sure those were ox ribs she pulled out of Job’s robe. I suspect that is why Crowley needed Aziraphale to eat the ox. Crowley is just not much of an eater and he knew Hell would know if he performed any miracles to blink them into existence.

      let's be honest, he just wanted to see aziraphale eat ^^

    As you didn't mention it I presume you did not recognise who it was playing Job? It was David Tennant's father-in-law Peter Davidson (better known as the 5th Doctor ...)

    I just found this channel but i start to think this guy (yes that's you) is one of the smartest, most knowledge reactors i have seen so fare. Proven here 8:52. But there has been other times where i have thought that just cant remember where.
    Good on you

    I'm not saying Job's kids deserve to die, but older two are kind of entitled and bratty, which is what happens when God plays favorites, I suppose.

    Love your view point being a Christian! I have wondered if I’m a not so great Christian cuz I love the show so much. The other day I googled Christian reviews of the show and of course found articles that are for and against the show. But I love how you explain it. We all definitely need to be more light hearted about some things, this show being one. I look forward to seeing what you think of the rest of the show. I’ve watched it a couple times already!

    Job is (played by) David Tennant's father-in-law also.

    the ribs Siti pulled out were the ribs from the ox that Aziraphale previously absolute DESTROYED. (Note God: add Gluttony to list of sins after seeing Aziraphale eating oxen like eating p*ssy)

    Wikipedia: In 2013, Tennant and Moffett had a child named Wilfred, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.
    so, not Ty. didn't know that - thanks for pointing it out!

    I was unfamiliar with the Book of Job before watching this Good Omens and I love how it was used to dissect how far people can or should stick to their faith. This one is tied with the last episode of season 2 for my favorite. Until you brought it up I hadn’t realized that the “angel who goes along with Heaven as far as he can” could also be applied to people adhering to their own religious values.
    Also, I’m with you on not being too interested in Maggie and Nina’s plot. I like them sometimes, but other times they’re on screen it’s like, “Keep it playing, I’ll go get snacks.” It’s very good how their story ends, though, so I’m looking forward to seeing your reaction to that.

    non-spoiler spoiler: the "two side characters" are a metaphor. you don't need to care for them as long as you pay attention to them ;)

    Ty Tennent is very much a binary dude. He’s David’s adopted son (Georgia Tennant had him as a teen). Job is played by Georgia’s dad, who also played Dr. Who.

      Yeah, their non binary child is their youngest. Wilfred, IIRC.

    I have loved your reactions to this series so far! You have so many interesting thoughts and ideas in both your commentary as you are watching and your analysis at the end. As a fellow Christian, I truly appreciate that I have found a youtube reactor who shares many of my beliefs and values.
    I look forward to watching you react to the rest of this series - it is a masterpiece!

    as for the other 4 children, I believe God said Job would bear 7 more children so my assumption was just that they would then make 4 more children on their own.

    where does the Doctor interact with Jane Austen? I need to watch those episodes! I imagine it's classic Who?
    also, David has 5 kids - 4 biological + Ty (who is adopted).

    • @sister1976
      @sister1976 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well Ty is adopted by David yes. He is Georgia Tennant's first child 😊 (Small detail, I know, sorry).

      @@sister1976 yeah, isn't that what I said? 'Adopted' from 'David's point of view :D
      from Georgia's POV they are all biological, but I wasn't talking about that ^^

    Dude, most of what you were preaching about from Job was IN THE EPISODE. :) And most of your viewers watch the episode before they watch your reaction. Please give the show enough credit to explain what they need to explain, and for the viewers to pay attention and “get” it. It was honestly annoying to listen to you lecture about Job immediately before you see how far they get into the material, then see it happen in the show and you react to it happening, then the show is over and you tell the story AGAIN. We get it-you paid attention in Bible study. Cool. But stop man-splaining. WE ALREADY UNDERSTAND THE EPISODE AND THE POINT OF IT. We don’t need to hear you lecture us three times on the same stuff. Even people who didn’t go to church or read the Bible were able to follow along just fine here.
    As a previous commenter pointed out, no of course Job’s wife didn’t pull out Job’s ribs (plus those ribs in her hands were huge). Remember the previous scene where Az was chomping down on ox ribs? You said something about how delicious ribs are? The ribs she pulled from his robes were from the ox. You might have caught that if you were watching the show and paying attention to the scenes as they happened, instead of trying to explain the story to us. THREE SEPARATE TIMES. ;)

      Spent the entire day gardening, actually. I dare you to stop and watch your entire video without pausing. Honestly, it’ll be a good exercise for you to understand how you come across. You DO NOT REACT to what’s on screen, you just LECTURE.

    • @SleepyWaffles
      @SleepyWaffles  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Do you think I don't rewatch my video as I'm editing?? You essentially expect me to have ALREADY KNOWN that the episode was going to fully cover the stuff I mentioned. How could I possibly know that? I provided commentary on what I was watching based on things in my life. I didn't lecture anyone. And me not immediately realizing that those who were the ribs from earlier, you're using that to say I don't pay attention to what I'm watching??? Try using some critical thinking, I'm begging you.

      @LaurelLily-pe1ge dude you're being a fucking asshole. You chose to watch his videos. Let him edit how he wants. Keep whining, and you won't have any more good omens reactions. Most of us do enjoy these reactions, so don't fucking ruin it for the rest of us.
