Such a beautiful family, The kids are getting the type of education that most of us wish we had. Wonderful

Your family is amazing. Your children are so lucky learning geography lessons they will remember for a lifetime, even more important learning social skills getting along with family as well as meeting strangers all over the world from all walks of life. As parents, you have given your children an extraordinary gift that few will ever have. Safe sailing and calm seas.

Thanks for the encouragement..it is quite hard to go against the grain but more and more we believe they will catch up with the 'traditional ' methods of schooling when required

One of the attractions of this channel is that you are both competent and experienced sailors who show us the nitty gritty... I think if I were to sail with a competent partner, the solution I would chose would be a hard and fast rule that whomever is on watch is the skipper, and whomever is off watch is crew who will follow the skipper's direction without any argument. I know that my experience racing in a bay is not the same, but we don't have arguments on winning race boats.... We don't have the time to waste.... its a team sport, we all know our roles, we switch roles at ease race to race, and a well oiled crew that works together, without argument, is just one of the many essentials to being at the head of a fleet. I have a lot to learn about crossing oceans, but some things from my racing days will translate, I hope. You've made it half way around your way through a global pandemic, so I'm not telling you how ts done, you've obviously got that part down. Really extraordinary vlogs on this channel as you guys hit your stride post COVID. Keep 'em coming. Thanks Battle Born for supporting this channel with your American designed and built Lithium batteries.

Funny thing was when we did the Bocas Del Toro Regatta....we hardly argued at all. Just shows what happens when we have too much time on our hands! Irenka

Love your channel. I learned many years ago, (married 49 years to the same woman), right or wrong mother is always right.

So... you missed Bonaire in order to go with buddy boats which are ALL much faster cats and have by now all gone ahead. Wasn't it kind of obvious from the start that would happen?

What a fabulous way to grow up. Homeschooling on a sailboat with mom and dad. Kids.. be glad you're not going to public school. You don't learn much of what you need to live life to it's fullest. Public schools are too political. And your much safer with your parents.
    Happy sailing, and be safe.

Everyone has there own understanding how to resolve conflict. The system that works for me is to default to the more conservative point of view. This works when both parties have similar knowledge and experience. However, when it comes to safety: there can only be one captain, who’s authority should be agreed upon, before leaving the dock. It never hurts to have a relief captain, Incase the primary captain is incapacitated.
