    Singing high notes effortlessly is one of the most sought after topics in singing. Three years ago, I did not have the comfort level to sing not even 2.5 octaves, leave aside hitting three octaves. Within a year, I was able to hit almost 3 octaves successfully. This video talks about certain steps that I took, to improve my vocal range.

    One of the most useful videos for not only beginners but also for even veterans. It appears here that Deepu is doing the job of a musicobiophysicist.
    Only few singers have the ability to vocally navigate their songs through the three octaves comfortably.
    I feel this video indirectly helps also to improve the quality of the singers' voice too. I hold the opinion that voice quality of the songster too has a very good role to play in making the song a succes. Songs succeed when listeners like them. Mere rigorous adherence to rules of the past does not make a song or kriti a great one. It should appeal to the heart of listeners.
    Musicians, generally, use to sing only in their ( reachable) lower ranges without giving much thoughts towards enhancing the width of the their swaraas' spectrum. Dasettan became instantly regarded as a Gandharva all around in the songs' world because of his voice and the care that he gave for maintaining the quality and range of his voice-reach apart from his God given musical talents. He used to draw and still draws very large crowds in the classical music auditoriums too in Chennai and elsewhere and that gave much impetus in furthering the popularity of classical music.
    Balamuralikrishna also used to attract large audiences than highly orthodox puritans who never dared to venture and innovate beyond what their gurus taught them and what their text books advised.There are youtube videos which speak of voice training methods by BMK addressed to all musical aspirants. BMK also believed hat the range and quality of voice are to be maintained for good and efficient renditions. Deepu's video shakes hand with such videos on high and low notes management and stands head high along with them.
    I am stunned by the extensive thoughtful research that Deepu has done in this field. Many of the songs that he has released through his channel testify his wonderful voice range .
    We hope he may perhaps conquer a bit more of atleast a part of the fourth octaves too. When he does achieve that , we hope he will show a demonstration in one of his lec dem classes.
    He has a good sense of music. The lecture shows he would have been a good teacher too,had he chosen that field. His communication style as well as his pronunciation of the words are really attractive.
    Hope he would also focus on the bhavam aspect in singing. I often see musicians doing gymnastic swara sancharaas where the bhavam embedded in the lyrics is bhakthi sometimes or pain and sorrow. These gymantics become incongruent then.

    This is the first time I am hearing 'head voice'....very good information Sir...Earlier there was a term used in Malayalam music field as "Kalla thonda "when a singer goes from lower notes to higher notes. Congratulations sir your selection of subject is highly appreciated.

    ഞാൻ ഞായറാഴ്ച ഒരു രണ്ടര മണിക്കൂർ പാടാറുണ്ട് പക്ഷെ എന്റെ ഒച്ച അടച്ചു പോകുന്നു കാരണം എന്ത്? ഇതിന് പരിഹാരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ 🙏

    • @ShruthiLayaDeeptham
      @ShruthiLayaDeeptham  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ഒരു ദിവസം മാത്രം രണ്ടര മണിക്കൂർ പാടിയാൽ അത് തൊണ്ടക്ക്‌ ആരോഗ്യകരമല്ല.
      ദിവസവും കുറച്ചു നേരം .. ആദ്യം ഒരു 20 മിനിറ്റ് .. പിന്നെ കൂട്ടി കൂട്ടി വരണം... ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ തന്നെ മാസങ്ങളോളം പ്രാക്ടീസ് ചെയ്തു comfortable ആക്കാതെ ദൈർഘ്യം കൂട്ടരുത് ....ഇതിനൊക്കെ പുറമെ.. ആദ്യം middle നോട്ടിസ് മാത്രം പാടി comfortable ആവുക.. പിന്നെ ആണ് lower , upper ഒക്കെ.
