The Black Dahlia Murder

On this week's episode, we are talking about The Black Dahlia Murder. We discuss how this is one of the few death metal bands that we listened to and the reason for that being that they seemed more like hardcore kids playing death metal music instead of the death metal at the time like Cannibal Corpse. I talk about my first memory of these guys being the Statutory Ape video and seeing the late Trevor Strnad in basketball shorts with heartburn across his stomach and kids hardcore dancing in their pits. For those of you who are heavily into death metal, we pose the question, "What is it that you look for in different songs that helps set them apart from each other?" Recently I've been getting into more death metal, but this is one of the few true death metal bands that we listened to growing up so take it easy on us if we butcher this one!
