How ever things have changed and I'm proud to say blood is not important in registering for my tribe any more. we're actually one of the most culturally diverse tribes now. to register the only requirment is to trace 1 ancesterback to a person listed on the role. even if you got 1% blood you can be registered. In time change comes. Hope fully your wounds will heal one day.

I have been listening and watching many native american videos; I am part Choctaw, but don't have the features. I am a retired military veteran and a combat veteran as well. I think if people experienced war, death and combat in other countries that we were trying to help and protect; if would bring about a different view of the United States. It was a big mistake to abandon the Afghan people; I am so worried about my interpreters and Afghan military men I worked with. Absolutely unacceptable for us to leave these people like this. I really have a lot of respect and admiration for women like Rose and Misty. They overcame their circumstances; they studied and worked hard to get ahead and excelled for their community. I don't see this in other reservation communities--I see a lot of them blaming their problems on the US government, and don't try to learn and achieve something on their own. I would like to know why the reservations are not getting funding for schools and programs to learn vocational skills. I am going to get in touch with Governor Kristi Noem's office and ask about this concerning the Pine Ridge reservation. A lot of bad things happened to the american indians, and a lot of bad things happened to the settlers. The current state of affairs with the US government and the native americans must change. It is very obscene to me to see illegal immigrants pour across our borders and be handed money, food, housing and medical attention; while letting our native americans languish and suffer in these kind of conditions. I am currently trying, without much success, to get a relevant job in Vancouver, BC and find barriers up. I am currently considered to be "under-employed". Canadians in general are unable or unwilling to accept an Indian as an equal or, worse luck, their superior.

I lived on the tuscorora rez for 15yrs and alcoholism is really bad among the natives. I have 2 beautiful native american girls and i raised them right. Their going to college them their gonna go back to the rez and teach the little kids they have options and fight for their people. Im so proud of them. I miss living on the rez.
I just went to the Pyramid Lake Paiute Native American Reservation in Northern Nevada. Driving through a little town on the "rez" called Wadsworth broke my fuckin' heart. It was very run down and poor. I immediately felt anger and pain for my Native people. But i know for a fact, we will rise above all the oppression and depression. Arapaho's, Apache's, Paiute's and all other Natives stand tall.. no more living in fear. Live for yourself and live free!

In my culture, my uncle was a shaman and he say, " Remember this son, do not let you and your people become orphans. Remember who you are and where you come from. Remember to keep your father and great grandfathers name, so that you don't become orphans. Call to your ancestor for help and wisdom. Do not forget them too. The only way out for any young person on any reservation is to finish High school and get a High school diploma and check out job core were you get free housing and get vocational training in many skills and get paid your housing is where you sleep and do your laundry the cafeteria is where you have breakfast lunch and dinner your check when they pay for educating yourself you open up a savings account and on Sundays you get back to God and go to church stay away from negative energy bad influences focus on yourself and where you want to go in life is the only way out on the reservation or five branches of the military of the United States of America

my dad...a WWI draftee made it to 3rd grade. My mother, much younger made it to 8th grade as Richard here. I am the first of my family to get bachelors, mine in community development. What came to be is now my youngest 2 children have surpassed that small milestone.My kids were mentally stronger than I, one, the son taking from Minnesota a M.D., and my daughter a masters from Nebraska/Lincoln. It is most satisfying. I, attended the university/Michigan in ann arbor. I was not ready, nor was I prepared by the public school system of my era. Dark skin is not a positive. And even with a degree, my own tribe hired a non member white woman for position I wanted. Even the skilled set-aside are given to the mixed bloods...the mixed bloods with their wavy blonde hair, and partial tans from a booth. I have been listening and watching many native american videos; I am part Choctaw, but don't have the features.
I am a retired military veteran and a combat veteran as well. I think if people experienced war, death and combat in other countries that we were trying to help and protect; if would bring about a different view of the United States.
It was a big mistake to abandon the Afghan people; I am so worried about my interpreters and Afghan military men I worked with. Absolutely unacceptable for us to leave these people like this.
I really have a lot of respect and admiration for women like Rose and Misty. They overcame their circumstances; they studied and worked hard to get ahead and excelled for their community. I don't see this in other reservation communities--I see a lot of them blaming their problems on the US government, and don't try to learn and achieve something on their own. I would like to know why the reservations are not getting funding for schools and programs to learn vocational skills. I am going to get in touch with Governor Kristi Noem's office and ask about this concerning the Pine Ridge reservation. A lot of bad things happened to the american indians, and a lot of bad things happened to the settlers. The current state of affairs with the US government and the native americans must change. It is very obscene to me to see illegal immigrants pour across our borders and be handed money, food, housing and medical attention; while letting our native americans languish and suffer in these kind of conditions.
I would like to see how the ladies like Rose and Misty are doing now since 2007 when this video was made.

I am a registered Canadian Treaty Indian but graduated with an American accredited MBA in 1998. I am currently trying, without much success, to get a relevant job in Vancouver, BC and find barriers up. I am currently considered to be "under-employed". Canadians in general are unable or unwilling to accept an Indian as an equal or, worse luck, their superior.

I lived on the tuscorora rez for 15yrs and alcoholism is really bad among the natives. I have 2 beautiful native american girls and i raised them right. Their going to college them their gonna go back to the rez and teach the little kids they have options and fight for their people. Im so proud of them. I miss living on the rez.
I just went to the Pyramid Lake Paiute Native American Reservation in Northern Nevada. Driving through a little town on the "rez" called Wadsworth broke my fuckin' heart. It was very run down and poor. I immediately felt anger and pain for my Native people. But i know for a fact, we will rise above all the oppression and depression. Arapaho's, Apache's, Paiute's and all other Natives stand tall.. no more living in fear. Live for yourself and live free!

That the mass majority of the population from coast-to-coast globally would naturally, gradually, and systematically start becoming stronger, smarter, healthier, happier, better off physically, mentally, and financially possibly spiritually then the previous generation. Now I would like to resurrect the wish and prayer I made prior to my 8th birthday which was to be held spiritually accountable to the statements I proclaim to the way I'm living personally and professionally. I guarantee you never see or hear another body, man or woman in power, persons of legal, religious authority, or leaders ever freely validate the statements they proclaim with that level of certainty one reason they don't have the best interest of the majority of the population's needs at heart a another reason could be they cum from a bloodline of cowards or simply have a lifestyle that suggests, confirms, and validates them as being feebleminded physically inadequate submissive subservient which it doesn't get any worse than that. One is genetically inherited and the other is a simple generic learned behavior. Quite possible to be a combination of these worst-case scenarios nonetheless either way it is physically, mentally, and spiritually useless to freely live and die in such a low quality manner.
Especially if that ignorant stupidity, weak, lonely desperation stems from being soft, lazy, out of shape, over fed, undernourished, overworked, and underpaid with a dirty low-paying job that comes from outdated power sources, inferior materials, poisonous, toxic substances, pesticides, and chemicals that never change their killing composition. Which means simpletons whether it is a solid, liquid, or burnt off into our airways atmosphere as a vapor it is always going to be poisonous, debilitating, and deadly to the body at the same time polluting, corrupting, and devastating to mother Earth and all the various different forms of life that live within this world. There is no cash profit to be made in the demise of the planet. Thanks to those dirty low-paying jobs we are in the mist of environmental financial global collapse. The good news souls and spirits have paid out are picking up the tab on the end results of those dirty low-paying jobs. The even better news that the common, basic, average, normal man woman may be able to comprehend his souls and spirits have been are being managed, directed, maintained, and implemented with all the disease, sickness, illness, pain, suffering, injury, abuse, neglect, hunger, addiction, sadness, anger, and hyper- aggressive violence. That has been allowed to occur manifesting throughout the history of mankind into what it is today thanks to people like Donald Trump who have the false belief if the mass majority of the population is at their worst they will feel less afraid inferior to the true potentials of love, honor, and the creation of life. It is most satisfying. I, attended the university/Michigan in ann arbor. I was not ready, nor was I prepared by the public school system of my era. Dark skin is not a positive. And even with a degree, my own tribe hired a non member white woman for position I wanted. Even the skilled set-aside are given to the mixed bloods...the mixed bloods with their wavy blonde hair, and partial tans from a booth. Maybe we have come a long way but do not stay on the rez. it will be many years from now when opportunities arise there. it is permitted to relocate in spite of trump and the white sheet wearers. be stronger than me.
