Very sorry -but my answer is - / no / - because I was born in a small town on a hill and grew up in a place not too dissimilar - except i was either going up or down the hill - same sort of environment - in fact the village was built by my grand-father and his brothers - then they build a church 170 years ago , my mother started the first school - which now has about13 children - prior to coming to Thailand - I went back - interesting - met family and old friends but could not live there - I now live about 150KM south of Bangkok, it is great - I am just on the edge of what can otherwise be called civilization and although within minutes of the town center - is very quite..great

It sounds like you have a rich history and connection to your hometown Boysie Dent, but ultimately decided to make a change and move to Thailand. It's great to hear you are enjoying your new surroundings and the balance of being near “civilisation” while still having peace and quiet. Thanks for watching the video.🙏🙏🙏

You're right Bob it isn't for everyone but for me part of the attraction are all the differences. I only wish someone had told me about all the road driving differences - 1) flashing headlight means 'get out my way, i'm coming through' and NOT 'after you Claude' 2) turning left at red traffic light no problem 3) it appears any vehicle can join the road from the left without looking or checking road clear and it's up to you to brake, swerve etc to avoid a collision ! That's just for starters ! BTW i would hardly call Warin 'rural Issan' - 5 mins to local Macro and Home Hub 😜 Thanks for the video Bob 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Craig, I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the differences and unique aspects of driving in Thailand. It is always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the local driving customs and etiquette, especially when it comes to safety. Thanks for mentioning these important points, however, I was aware of the many differences due to my extensive driving experiences across the Middle East, Libya, South and South East Asia, South Korea and Australia. It is always important to be aware of the local customs and practices to stay safe while driving or travelling. Regarding Warin Chamrap Town, I agree it is conveniently located near many local amenities, however, generally, Warin Chamrap District is considered a rural area, but as you rightly pointed out not too far from civilisation as it once was, way back when I first visited the area.! Glad you enjoyed the video.🙏🙏🙏
