TMO is the best admin/refereeing development to have happened right across the whole sporting world. It’s always great for the crowd too, watching the replays on the big screen and then allowing us to vent our own brand of self righteousness 🤣🤣🤣
for some reason i remember an english player doing worst than this and didn't get one send off and 2 no suppension. i am not saying this is not a red card, but we need consitency from the ref at all time
Exactly why I don't watch R.U anymore, a slight scuff to the ear should not mean a red card. Soon they'll be playing touch rugby as primary school kids do.
Rule needs to change. Put a little elbow into the guys head? Big deal. Wasn't like a forearm smash to the face, or a kick or knee to the head. A little rough housing; 5 minutes in the sin bin. And a whole team shouldn't be down a player for the rest of the game because of a violation by a player; if a man gets sent off, he should be replaced. Sending off punishes the offender; no need to punish the whole team for the rest of the game. Better to have a 5 minute penalty box like in hockey so the team isn't down a man for the whole game. More hockey, less soccer, less political correctness.
yes you're absolutely right. but players now are bigger, stronger and contact to the head has been scientifically proven to be extremely dangerous to their wellbeing (players like Nick Denton have been forced to retire because of concussion injuries). how do we minimise the number of players who have to suffer what Nick Denton had to? we stop people thinking that targeting the head of an opponent is ok (obviously taking mitigating circumstances into acccount). in this particular instance, there's absolutely no mitigation for what White 17 did
Why was the blue player not punished as well? He first did the very same thing and just missed the head. The white player saw it and also went in with swinging arm on the very same blue player. A case of people shouting for player safety but only see mistakes of one team? I'm neutral and don't support any of those teams.

David Flatman is just comedy on commentary. "Yea, well, he's smacked him in the head, so he's in trouble, isn't he".
I love the crowed at TMO reviews
I’m usually shouting at the telly ‘he’s gone ref’
I would have just pointed to the dugout and walked off the pitch myself after watching that!!
Tough to be a thug now that video replay is shining a light on their cheap shots.
Thank god!
It's called the head, innit? Brilliant.
Rugby players, 1 to 15, always seem to accept the referee’s decision, good or bad........
Footballers, watch on please.........
Yeah footballers, see how respectful this man was after whacking somebody in the head...div.

the fa dont crack down on ref abuse. thats the problem.

true but nothing is watertight......
unlike football players sent off, no complaining, no whinging or hysterics. Turns around and walks off.
Headbutt to the forearm, should have been a red.
Shame he can call stuff to the head in this game but not others
and walking off like he doesnt understand what he did wrong......... not the rugby vibe iam used to see

RU is better off without you g2macs. Go find a Roman coliseum where your view of the sport would have been more acceptable.
g2macs perhaps you are in fact blind punching people in the head is not legal this isn’t mma.
Alright see you later. No tears are shed knowing you’re not watching anymore.
It's a stupid thing to do, but does it deserve a red card? No. Yellow definitely but the red card rules are too harsh.
Contact to the head=red. No other choice.
@@TheTheotherfoot Agree that the ref had no choice, but the rules should be changed.

Have you ever heard of concussions?
@@nicholasbutler153 yeah let's leave the players not being able to recognize their families at 50 years old
Nothing wrong there at all.
Oh for fucks sake grow up I'm gonna stop watching soon the refs and commentators are wrecking our game gonna watch rugby league
Buy, buy, Knuckle dragger!
The game is dying. 20 years ago it wouldn’t have been a problem.

Then don’t target the head, it’s not difficult, especially in situations like these.
He should get 5 weeks and loss of game play to stamp this out of the game. Bad for the game and bad for his team.
