- In this tutorial we look at the AIM-9 Sidewinder with the FCR in ACM mode. We will go through the four ACM submodes and explain their uses, while combining ACM with the AIM-9 Sidewinder heat seeking missile.

Another great tutorial! I noticed you have used the HAF in a few videos? Do you prefer that one? I like flying HAF as well. I particularly like the 93(v)1 as I find it more interesting and challenging.

Great video! How about you do one on how to use the Sidewinder with the HMCS?
I'm planning videos onn Dogfight mode and HMCS. They might be done seperately or combined.
I never uncaged the sidewinders before firing before, even though I've only used them during dogfight mode so far. Does DFGT not only cools them but also uncages them automatically?
I can't recall seeing anything about it specifically, but I would assume that because dogfight is intended to be used for immediate close engagements that sidewinders are uncaged when entering dogfight mode.
Can you tell me which key to fire gun in 4.3.5? (2) What does backspace key/F ACK do? (3) What does return key/Master Caution do? and it will be better if you can speak slowly.

Great tutorials- coming back into the game after years and just installed BMS 4.34, will this be relevant for 4.34 as well for sidewidners?
As I understand it the functionality is the same, but the missles are more vulnerable to flares and other heat sources.
supanova ok great thanks for taking the time to reply, I have the installation done and will be getting into it in the next day or two (wife permitting :) ), bring at it since the original Falcon Spectrum Holobyte on a monochrome monitor - have not played Falcon BMS for a decade almost so need to brush up

8:26 is the TD (Target Designator) mode reliable in a dogfight?
You would have to do a significant amount of testing to determine how accurate the TD is, in comparison to reality.

Do you believe the most equal foe to the F-16 is the SU-27? When dogfighting on Ace difficulty we always come out even.
I think it comes down to pilot quality in a simple one-on-one scenario.
+supanova also, is the AIM-9X the only missile that works with the HMCS?
I believe it works with the Mike and Papa also. I'll cover that when I go into more detail with HMCS.

Wait, what does uncage means? And what does it do? I'm confused..
The seeker head is uncaged so it can track a target.
There is a protective shell over the sensitive seeker to protect it. Uncaging removes the protection so the missile becomes sensitive.

Is there something like a "easy mode" in falcon BMS or a for dummies guide? I mean the sim looks awesome, but I got lost in the procedure.
You can simplify certain details, but there is no genuinely easy mode. You have to approach it as a study subject. The DCS series has a dedicated simplified mode. You might want to consider their A10C. I don't know how much simpler it will be, though.
Dude, I get into this sim years ago and I'm still learning things. To be effective, all you need to know is flying, landing, shooting and GTFO mode. Focus on that stuff and the rest will come along with it.
Thank you great tutorial. How come you always have the Aegean Ghost camo? is it your preferred one or you want to use the Block 52+. Don't you worry that you might upset our Turkish Falcon BMS friends? I dont think they like to see this specific camo. The is a strong tension between Greeks and Turks since forever and even though it is a game, it exists. Im just honest and describe a situation, that is all. Probably others dont even notice this detail but Im almost certain the Turks do. The Aegean ghost camo is nothing but neutral. Turks understand it as picking a side. Me personally i love the Aegean ghost but since I am a Greek i already picked a side when i was born. In any case the tutorial is excellent and many thanks.
I use the camo that's on the aircraft in the mission. I could possibly change it but I would hope that whatever the nation there is mutual respect between even virtual F16 pilots.

+supanova the Turkish camo has the name Aegean Ghostbusters and they have the ghostbuster logo on their planes actually. Check it online if you are interested in such information. :)
