    I hope you like this video of Malmö, it’s a city that not a lot of people think of visiting - but if you’re visiting Copenhagen, it’s definitely worth crossing the border for.
    Speaking of which, I’m currently working on my feature length video guide on Copenhagen and all the Danish Royal Palaces, so stay turned for that.
    But in the meantime, please help out my channel by sharing this video where you can.

    That is indeed a real casino. In Sweden there are four physical casinos (as opposed to the myriad of online casinos) in Malmö, Göteborg, Sundsvall and Stockholm. All are state owned, and all are named Casino Cosmopol.
    The Australian flag was probably because Malmö had official visitors from Australia that day.

    I heard Malmö is absolutely wonderful this time of the year. Lots of cultural exchange going on and lots of warmth on the streets with flames lighting the night sky. Especially Rosengård.

    • @UltimateBucketList

      I believe so yes. The weather is perfect and it's a nice atmosphere in Malmö, in fact most of Sweden is very lovely to visit at this time of year. If you get to go, you'll have an amazing time :)

    Thanks for this. I was in Malmö in 2016 with a daytrip from Copenhagen. Didn't get to see as much as I would like so went back there last year. Saw the Turning Torso. Had no idea whether you can go in, but honestly, I was too tired (just arrived by train from Stockholm) to walk more, so I saw it pretty close. Glad to see its closed to the public so I didn't waste much not walking the extra few metres. 🙂. Its still a beautiful city and Sweden is one of the countries I will most probably go back to eventually... after I visit all the other places I want to go to.

    • @UltimateBucketList
      @UltimateBucketList  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah for sure! Sweden is definitely a nice country, clean, organised and green.
      The Turning Torso looks nice, but it's a shame you can't go inside - it's lucky that you didn't go all the way there to find out the hard way!
      I plan to do Stockholm, Helsinki and Oslo to complete the Scandinavian capitals this year. Hopefully?!

    Great guide to my old home town, I used to live in in Malmö for 15 years and this is by far the best guide I've seen, well done! The only thing In think you missed out on was Folkets Park, The Peoples Park, up by Möllevången, has great cafés and outside bars, whenever I ever go back I go there. But you might have come on the off season?
    And this time I only have one small correction for you. The "river" down town is not a river at all, it's a man made canal connected to the ocean. Used to serve as both a moat round the city for protection and transportation of goods. Again, great guide!

    Hello Ninh! Now, I have never been to Malmo, but I have been to Stockholm. Speaking of Stockholm, do you plan on visiting it someday? As for the Malmo Sports scene, Malmo is the home of the football god, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who retired this week. The reason I’m bringing this up is because back in 2018, a statue of Zlatan was unweiled in front of the Malmo FF stadium, but when Zlatan bought a share in Hammarby, a football club based in Stockholm, Malmo fans trashed the statue, and in 2020, the statue was completely removed from the stadium grounds. And I want to know, was the statue returned to the grounds or is it still not there?

    • @UltimateBucketList
      @UltimateBucketList  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I plan on doing all the Scandinavian Capitals this year - Copenhagen (done), Stockholm, Helsinki and Oslo, I just need time to do them.
      And yes, I heard about the Zlatan statue, but I don't think it's there anymore?

    Located in southern Sweden, Malmö has historically been influenced by French Huguenot refugees who settled in the region during the 17th century. This historical connection may have resulted in a higher concentration of individuals with French ancestry in the city.

    Great video but it's not a concert hall. It's an art center. But I get the confusion. Art is called "konst". But we have a concert hall. It's called Malmö live and it's close to the train station (centralen).

      The two that come to mind are the Scandic and the Savoy - two very nice hotels a short walk away from Central Station. If you can find these at a nice price, it's worth it. Otherwise, there are cheaper options around the city, but they will be further away from the station.
