Starbreeze and overkill release an online only game with no ability to matchmake or host solo play this is a friggin scam. They should have just chapter 11'd in 2017, what a joke.
You can kinda host a solo by making a invite only group and not inviting anyone

@@R_ee00they will be adding updates frequently sort of like in seasons, kind of like how rainbow six siege has different years. These updates will be adding new heists and DLC
@@R_ee00I agree a few aspects is unfinished and not as content rich, but most importantly the foundations they’ve created for the future is excellent, and Payday 2 also released quite bare bones but these devs update overwhelmingly fast.
Man, this looking for match heist is really difficult! Even on normal mode it’s extremely difficult.
In 2023 they voted my game the highest drop in quality that year. Main issues? Sky high rate of lag and more people sitting in queue than anywhere else. Can't deny it, it's all true, but everyone still wants to play here. Starbreeze keeps promising updates. It might be a lie, an illusion, but its always there, just around the corner, and it keeps you going.
It's a game of dreams.
And I'm a big dreamer.

After all people who preordered the normal version (like me) are already 3 days late to the game and when it finally arrives its another 3 days till matchmaking works for everyone. After the servers get fixed, all I need is for thumbstick sensitivity to be smoothened out or some mouse and keyboard support on xbox

The first 30 seconds of this trailer is completely accurate as you will spend your day waiting around by yourself not doing anything waiting on “matchmaking”.

Honestly the best thing I can even say about the game at the moment is the main menu music is very good. Which kept me sitting in matchmaking probably 20 minutes longer than I otherwise would have.

I’m impressed it was only 15 minutes for you. I’m at almost 40 minutes trying to get into the Nightclub when meanwhile it took more than 3/4 of that time to get into a heist yesterday.

If this trailer was realistic they wouldn’t have shown any gameplay instead a matchmaking screen.
the game sadly sucks, I can't even load into a match, I've been waiting for 15 minutes! There's no solo play! And I need to be online at all times to play it. It's a sad excuse for a payday game, I hope they fix this and make it so you can hop into a solo game without having to "matchmake" for one. (Update: I have now been waiting for half an hour just for one heist.)
Their is solo play you just have to make a invite only session but having an internet connection and always online fucking sucks

I bought the collector edition, i really enjoy the game, even if it isn't right that they have released unpolished, but i really enjoy the game. Tho, at this point, they should give us an update + offline mode. Is unplayable and i really bought collector edition to support StarBreeze.

Let's talk about how this team had 10 years to deliver a playable game and they dropped the ball.. Big time for the playstation community!! And if they blame it on anyone else, why the H did they not run any bit of QC before launching the game?!? A day lost on early access, no silver or gold perk cosmetic rewards?!?.. slow or no matchmaking on the actual release date.?!? They failed miserably and should just admit it and make right by the people that invested in this garbage. Instead they say they are working on it or pass the blame, BUT I haven't heard one apology yet, just deflection. Just my thoughts though..🤷♂️🤦♂️
The game is good, when it works... Why are the servers so bad now days? I mean you have plenty of systems to balance the load of servers and increase the number of active servers depending on the usage with Azure scalability for example. How you allow a game to be launched and THOUSANDS of players not being able to play it because it's 100% online.

Imagine launching a game with this much hype, but having it locked to online ONLY. So when the servers dont work, NO ONE can play.
Just imagine not thinking far enough to at least have offline mode ready so people can still play and this way take away pressure from online match making.

Imagine making payday only playable online ffs. Waited 30 mins to play with wife in invite only but never found a game. Payday 2 with mods infinitely better. At least then I'd be able to play without feeling my soul slowly wither away waiting for a "match". Don't get me wrong though the game play looks really fun. I just haven't been able to PLAY it.
