"All change for Brill !" At 10:00 we have a clear view of the reconstructed waiting room for passengers alighting at Quainton Road who wished to travel onwards to Brill on the tramway. Despite being more than 40 miles from London, the Brill tramway was technically a part of the London Underground system from 1933 until it closed in 1935.
    Keep 'em coming, WN 👍

I barely recognised the location - an isolated railway overbridge, a farm, the curve of an abandoned railway taking off from Quainton Road to Verney Junction surrounded by roadworks. Resolute, the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre resists the intrusion. There may be compensations - at a future date, this may be the only location in the country with an opportunity to build a viewing platform to see three generations of railway history in one place - the nation's most advanced railway, alongside the legacy of the last main line to be built in the nineteenth century, the Great Central linking the Metropolitan and GC joint; and ambling casually across the fields, the wonderful anachronism that was the Brill Tramway
