I'm here turning myself in as well, I don't mind fakedrops as long as they're at least decent and mostly fit with the song. This song specifically I think would of been better without them or just the first drop though, but I still don't mind them not a song "ruiner".
For me personally, I think fakeouts are the best when it severely deviates from the original source material. I feel like if one is introducing similar/same sounds that would be used in the actual drop, then it’s just the drop but emptier
@@turtlesarecaredfor fakeouts can be cool just as Sven said, he doesn't like when there's a drum hit and then just doesn't actually drop, he says that it loses impact and I kinda agree with that
I'm waiting for the day when Sven trolls the entire dubstep community by releasing a song that only has fakedrops and no actual drops to prove a point.
To me the initial concept of fakeouts has become so common, that this doesn't sound like it's meant to fake anyone out anymore without any washing out happening. It's just introducing the main sound and how stompy it sounds without spoiling it with the drums in the same moment. It's just different. Hating this entire concept just because it feels like the impact is taken away to you came off a little harsh to me.
I cant not hate fake drops, and I understand Sven’s not alone but me personally I find a lot more ppl like fake drops than hate them so I mean it makes sense
song sounds pretty mid at first and you only hear samplifire coming through but the progression of the drops is actually really good. still could've been better tho, and yeah i agree the fakeouts here are corny. also seen people in the chat talk about stuca, did you react to a song of his or sum? i'd love to see the reaction get uploaded if so. also a collab between the two of you would annihilate
I feel like I'm the only person on this channel who likes sustain basses and telephone sounds. Idk why but especially sustains almost get me everytime with a disgusting bassface.
I didn’t notice until I came here, it’s not just fake drops alot of dubstep producers don’t know how to make the kick come through and don’t know how to mix synth tracks, this fake drop is loud and heavy, i don’t know if i will call you a bass geek if you enjoy synth basses only
maybe i dont understand music enough but as an average listener imo inhuman has some of the most mid music i have ever heard and i barely like any of his songs apart from that one techno album, he essentially has the biggest ego i have ever seen and thinks whatever he doesnt like is objectively bad, these songs would absolutely slap at a party of festival, and the fakeouts are what gets everyone hype meanwhile he's sitting there cringing thinking its a bad thing????
Actually my ego is not big at all. I just produce music since 10+ years now and I know what "objectively" is bad and what sounds good. I don't like most of my older music either because I improved a lot mixdown wise and MOST of the top quality stuff didn't even came out yet. Also just because you don't like my music doesn't mean it's "mid" quality wise. Another problem here is that you mix up objective criticism (about mixdowns for example) and taste/subjectiveness (when it comes to fake drops etc) Just because I MYSELF don't like something doesn't mean I want to tell you that you're not allowed to like it 🖤 Also I'm always in the view of a producer and at home listener instead of a "this could slap at a festival" view. Hope this clears it up a bit 🙏🏻
Also mentoring around 10+ people at the same time makes my wording a bit "rough" sometimes. My students appreciate that but I completely understand that it might sound a bit harsh at times
saw the insta story and somehow I knew this might be the song where the comment is from lol.i dont like fakeouts either. there are some good where they just kinda show u the pattern or a little sneak peek on the breaks, those works. but when its just the drop without the drums it ruins the impact cuz I'm like ''well i ve already seen what the drop is like'' and the drums dont bring that much more impact to satisfy the emptiness that was missing.
also sven is probably one of the few that gives genuinely unbiased critique and even when he doesn't like something he will say its well done even tho he probably doesn't listen to it on his free time.
I'm sorry fakedrop police, I'm turning myself in because I actually enjoy this song and the fakeout lmao

@@zynet_eseled I still think it would lose impact
Sven's face when the fake drop hit says it all AND I FUCKING LOVE IT LMAO
I actually sensed seething rage coming from sven at the fake drop lol

If Sven really hates fakeouts this much I’m curious to hear what he thinks of Emorfik and all the fakeouts he does in his tracks
I kind of feel like Samplifire carried on this
0:43 3:56 and 2:02 pure comedy man I love it 😂
i just watched a video of sven looking at a foot and complaining about fakeouts
I cant not hate fake drops, and I understand Sven’s not alone but me personally I find a lot more ppl like fake drops than hate them so I mean it makes sense
Sven's raging face is the best part of the video lol😂
Telephone sustain bass and metallic guns from ECRAZE☠ 🔥
I've never seen hate fakeouts THIS bad
INHUMAN hearing the second second drop's fakeout in MUETRE - The Torment: *Virtual Riot - Logout*
Naaaa I love that one

i like telephone sounds too. And fakeouts... not like that, of course.
sustains are hit or miss
telephone sounds are good if well modulated
some kompany stuff has good telephone sounds
PREACH!!!! FAKE DROPS DON'T POP… Unless done with vicious swinger neck breaker bass.
Flavour of the week?
Basic music production course 101 cut the bass and turn the stereo width before the drop lmfao 😂

You said in a previous stream that you knew who Phuture Doom was, is it someone you worked with ?
If you hate fakedrops....you will love muerte 👌
will there be a reaction to the new Jorei's EP?
Your face with the fakedrop 😂 just curious if you'd react to VKTM.
You should do an flip on this song🔥😉
yeah i hear the marauder-UMBRA reference

man this dude must hate subtronics
ich versteh deine Aufregung voll. hab's leider auch schon selbst zu oft gemacht. fakeouts sind definitiv overused.
Imo the fake drops in this track fit well, but in a lot of other cases they don't fit at all
Do they lack knowledge?
Imo the problem with the "disciple style" fake drop is that its always just always a quarter note. Then again I am a professional Disciple hater, so
check muerte the horor divine ep
Sound like only Samplifire
I agree, fakedrops are overused!
New muerte ep
Stomp chain
pleasereact to the nimda retaliate ep
I feel like fake drops should start being 1 bar only
MARAUDA UMBRA MUCH AHAHAHA
