Matches are super overrated in the island one. Such a finite one time use resource is insane to put so high.
The tarp is insanely useful. Cover and water collection are crucial.
Its what people who only know it from movies think. That you need fire so you need matches... while on a desert island, having fire would be like step 5 of the survival
My brothers in christ, let's not act like any of us would know how to survive on a deserted island. We can all pretend we know how to, but the truth is 90% of us would get weak in the 1st week and probably die.

@@kornelparoczai1763 I don't feel like it's about having the skills or not, it's about convenience and reusability. If by mistake your fire goes out, it's still a pain to find new tinder and use friction to get a new one starting.

A good survival knife can chop wood pretty often (I have never done this (for some reason youtube shorts kept showing me knife reviews for a while (the guy doing it seemed trustworthy)))

it's sharing passwords in general. If it was streaming services it would say streaming services. If it was banking passwords it would say banking passwords.
It doesn't have to be either of the extremes, would you share your discord password? Steam password? TH-cam password? These are passwords some people do share for various reasons. Assuming it's JUST one kind of password when it's a generalized question is dumb.

I am shocked by the order of items on a deserted island. In my mind, crank flashlight and lots of rope are both easily in the top 3.
What's your number 1? People lived for thousands of years without flashlights, you simply fix your degen schedule and sleep while it's dark, work during light. Plus fire exists. Rope is creatable and was a vital skill for thousands of years. There's no way in hell i'll be able to smith a knife or create a tarp. On an Island environment, weaving for basket traps is more important than rope weaving. Spearfishing is also the additional important method of food acquisition, knife can be your spear tip or helps to create your spear. Heart of Palm is also a tertiary food source you can acquire with knives. I don't think I need to argue for why tarp is more important.

First, water. Second, shelter, third, food. Fire is fourth, easily. And tarp helps with both water and shelter, the 3 things a anyone who has ever spent a night in the wild would get are knife, tarp and pot or rope. You are on a desert island, having a tarp is way more important than having matches for sure.

(also, no not at all is it wholly safe to let all of creation know if, or how, you go about using a password generator of some sort; the password itself can give a clue of how long you keep them, how many special characters you add, etc... It's not *THAT* harmless, even in a vacuum.)
