I make changes to the display on my 3 presets. So for example i have the tyre PSI in the right panel on preset 2. When i next get in the car it has returned to the hybrid power display. It's very frustrating.
if u go to dash display and choose vehicle settings then select meter styles there are some nice options available to make the power and speedo look quite different and what suits u individually
I don't think this version of the instrument panel is available on the corolla hybrid in the LE trim. You probably have to go up to the SE or LXE to get it.

Did you find an solution? I’m annoyed with RSA system, on adaptive cruise it often makes +1kph from setted and start to beep. Manual says that RSA changes are saved with driver, so i have deleted and added driver accounts, tried to add and delete primary driver keys and devices, nothing works.
On my car, all settings that I've made for the 3 shortcuts are only available until first car stop. When I resume, everything is changed. Moreover, the in use lights symbols appear or disappear as they want. I visited the service and they said that there are no DTC on car memory reported, so they can not do anything. The map is not displayed on my SE (or Dynamic -European ) version. I presume is only available for LXE version. Can everyone confirm that what I described is occurring on their car?
If I use the Google maps navigation via Android Auto, will I see turn by turn directions on my driver's dashboard like it is happening with the onboard navigation system?
After 3 months of my previous message I finally received my Yaris Cross 2024. It has the same exact dashboard but I do not the map widget in the middle, only option to show direction arrows at the left or right gauges. Did you do anything to enable this map or it is just there for the Corolla? Thank you.
If you set a course, a small indicator of the next turning point will appear, at least it does on mine on all the others on the PT market. So, if you are not using the gps with an address you will not see it on the center screen. What I need to find out is the way how make it show the big map Dan is showing on his video, That is the big question no-one seems to know the answer.
There is a hidden menu - accessed via light switch and some button or something - in which you should have an option to change the localization of the car, I mean the country. So if you change the country you can have quite different options and automatic door locking can be one of them. But unfotunatelly I don't know how to acces this menu in newest version of the multimedia system.

Yes, but with jest 1 indicator the center one look to "Type of screen", if instead of 2 indicators side by side you just choose 1 on the center, you will be able to set it as Rev.
That's way above the Toyota standard for multimedia. I'm glad they've been also thinking about this. A reliable car is something they do really good, but these other stuff matter for some buyers.

Do you know how the file browser system works on usb here? I'm trading my '16 Auris for this and one of the things I hate about my current car is the lack of file browsing on usb. Not being able to browse via folders to play music is a MASSIVE headache, I'm limited to browsing via albums/artists/songs which rely on ID3 to even work so, could you explain this for me, please?

In my Auris 1.6 petrol Style version, I have bought a flash stick of 256 GB that could included all my collection of about 50.000 mp3 files of songs/music. (External 2.5 hard disks can not reproduced in car). The format of stick must not be NTFS but extended FAT32 (My Touch and Go multimedia and Navigation unit model is June 2013). Well, my directory tree is done as follows: Under the root directory I have created for each type of music a subdirectory of level 1 (for example: 1_Classic Music, 2_French songs, 3_Italian songs, 4_Latin-Spanish songs, 5_English-American pop and rock 6_Greek Folk songs, 7_Greek Rempetiko, 8_Greek_Traditional etc) . Under each category of level 1, I created subdirectories of level 2 for each singer or group or composer and into them their mp3s. Some times in each level 2 subdirectory I have created subdirectory of level 3 with each Albums as I have many versions of the same songs from studio recordings or from their various recitals recorded. So how I use my database in the stick except of what way you wrote in your text? I have created about 1000 playlists in the form of m3u files and they have been existed under the root directory as the above directories of Level 1 (major categories of music according my preferances). The said playlists are of different types that is other include a pot-pouri of different singers or groups other are of specific singer or group or composer, other are of the same type or types of Greek Dances (for example Chasapiko, Zeimpekiko, Islands, Cretan, Pontian, Macedonian etc) and other are of non-stop songs from recitals etc. Of course those 1000 playlists are not cover all my 50000 files of my flash-stick but are more than enough for my car rides and routes or vacation times. NOTES: All the above collection required many-many man-hours dedication! At first I have not used in most cases the typical method of copyng from other people ready made mp3s. Even in such a case, I had to process each tag1 and tag2 of each file, for adding the usual missing data. A lot of personal work since 2000 AD...I had also to convert to UTF-8 type standard all the tags and titles of Greek songs because the ANSI type is not readable in this car device and in the majority of other home devices (TV, TV-Box, AVR Hi-Fi). I had to transfer in 320kbps high resolution all my numerous collection of LPs and CDs (...how many drachmas and later euros spent for my audio passion...) as well as borrowing from relatives and friends LPs and CDs and transforming them to mp3 in my desktop PC by appropriate software. Of course after the transformation, I had to add the tag1 and tag2 of each song/music file using tag editor software. I used also appropriate software for cutting the unnecessary silence before or after each song etc There were a lot of Greek songs that all their titles and tags were written in inelegant latin (!) letters instead of normal greek letters and this is another time consumed personal work in the tag editor!... I had also to listen between the same recorded in studio mp3 song that I had found from others in lets say 192 kbps or in 256 kbps or even in 320 kbps for deciding which one to keep and which to delete. There were accoustically many times better effect of a file of 192 kbps resolution than of the 256 or 320 resolution because of the way obviously of tranformation to mp3s... In other words the personal collection is not a copy-paste procedure as the 95% of users do (if they even have got an audio home/personal collection) and not the "fast-food" easy method of streaming but not appropriate for our tastes....

Really hoping that the new Corolla has a folder-based browsing system because if not, I'll have to follow your example here :) My previous cars, a 2012 Golf R and a 2019 BMW 230i both had the option to browse by folders in addition to the ID tag system and it seems self-evident to me that every system should offer that choice!

What exacly model of Corolla has door auto lock/unlock feature? Is this the car made for Swiss market? I have bought 2.0 touring sports version made for polish market and there is no such feature. I feel a bit dissapointed because my previous 2004 E12 Corolla was equiped with alarm with auto lock/unlock feature.
What I'm curious about is if this new multimedia display will fit in the pre-facelift models? It would be cool if you could swap out the old multimedia system for this new one.

We have the 2022 Corolla, (pre face-lift) and we have the new multimedia fitted. I'm in the UK though so I'm not sure with the others. (our corolla was made in early January so i'm not sure if it's just on a few cars)
@@sammanthayoung9914 i think they arent putting this in the corolla in north america because in other markets they see the corolla the same way we see the camry in terms of size, so to better fit the class we put the camry in, they upscaled the corolla in other markets to match them up.
Give me analog dash over that digital one, nice when it's new but would cost a fortune when something breaks. I'll take older more durable over fancy eye candy.
How can a display break? Cars since 2010 get their information over digital computers. A classic instrument cluster has much more mechanical parts that can fail. A display is much easier. It's stupid to use analog clusters when the information is send digital.
@@RustyHeartsTOV Trust me, a screen is much more likely (but still not very likely in the grand scheme of things) to break than a good old fashioned instrument panel. I've worked in IT for years and screens can and do fail. Backlights burn out, colours get washed out or messed up, pixels go dead, flickering/flashing of picture, physical damage, etc. It's just a case of forcing tech where it isn't needed because it makes it sound better on the spec sheet to the technology-addicted buyers of today.

@@braetonwilson4296 I confirm that in Canada, all hybrid gets it (LE, LE AWD, SE AWD, XSE AWD). The offer is very different between USA and Canada, even with the AWD.
I am a happy owner of 2019 Corolla ... but I'm disappointed to see that the lack of basic functions is still there. Audio managing, car illumination, and many many functions seen on a lot of other brands are still missing here. Remember that we are talking of 30.000/35.000 Euro car, not a citycar. I just don't get why the new Prius didn't get it instead of that tiny 7 inch display they took from the Bz4x !? It just doesn't make sense ! You used to be able to display all sorts of information in a Prius at the same time and now you will be forced to toggle through the screens as that display is just too small . They also ditched the Head up Display ! Prius used to get the latest, now it seems it gets the cheapest ! You could control your climate with the steering wheel buttons and changes you blindly made using the actual climate system buttons showed up in the instrument cluster . All gone as it seems....

Wow, this dealership already has the 2023 version to show? Do you know the version's code. In Belgium the car is described as the BCTHVL02 (2022 version) and BCTHVL03 (2023 version). That screen doesn't appear to be in any of the Canada/US models.
You’re mistaken, I’m in Canada and I test drove an LE hybrid today and it had a programable digital gauge cluster

I haven’t been able to find a way to have the rev counter and hybrid dial together. Don’t need the speedometer on the right, got the speed in the middle and on the hud (I’m in Australia)
I just bought the sedan version and it has not the auto door lock choice in the infotainment :(

What exacly model of Corolla has door auto lock/unlock feature? Is this the car made for Swiss market? I have bought 2.0 touring sports version made for polish market and there is no such feature. I feel a bit dissapointed because my previous 2004 E12 Corolla was equiped with alarm with auto lock/unlock feature.

We have the 2022 Corolla, (pre face-lift) and we have the new multimedia fitted. I'm in the UK though so I'm not sure with the others. (our corolla was made in early January so i'm not sure if it's just on a few cars)

@@sammanthayoung9914 i think they arent putting this in the corolla in north america because in other markets they see the corolla the same way we see the camry in terms of size, so to better fit the class we put the camry in, they upscaled the corolla in other markets to match them up.

Give me analog dash over that digital one, nice when it's new but would cost a fortune when something breaks. I'll take older more durable over fancy eye candy.
How can a display break? Cars since 2010 get their information over digital computers. A classic instrument cluster has much more mechanical parts that can fail. A display is much easier. It's stupid to use analog clusters when the information is send digital.
@@RustyHeartsTOV Trust me, a screen is much more likely (but still not very likely in the grand scheme of things) to break than a good old fashioned instrument panel.
I've worked in IT for years and screens can and do fail. Backlights burn out, colours get washed out or messed up, pixels go dead, flickering/flashing of picture, physical damage, etc. It's just a case of forcing tech where it isn't needed because it makes it sound better on the spec sheet to the technology-addicted buyers of today.

@@braetonwilson4296 just checked, fr only gr gets it, I’m in Canada, getting an se delivered tomorrow to dealership. I googled around, seems that these clusters are only for hybrid, and are currently only in Japan and should be in Europe

@@braetonwilson4296 I confirm that in Canada, all hybrid gets it (LE, LE AWD, SE AWD, XSE AWD). The offer is very different between USA and Canada, even with the AWD.

I am a happy owner of 2019 Corolla ... but I'm disappointed to see that the lack of basic functions is still there. Audio managing, car illumination, and many many functions seen on a lot of other brands are still missing here. Remember that we are talking of 30.000/35.000 Euro car, not a citycar. Very disappointing.
Needs a full rundown of each function with time stamps so you can skip to relevant sections

I just don't get why the new Prius didn't get it instead of that tiny 7 inch display they took from the Bz4x !?
It just doesn't make sense !
You used to be able to display all sorts of information in a Prius at the same time and now you will be forced to toggle through the screens as that display is just too small .
They also ditched the Head up Display !
Prius used to get the latest, now it seems it gets the cheapest !
You could control your climate with the steering wheel buttons and changes you blindly made using the actual climate system buttons showed up in the instrument cluster .
All gone as it seems....
This is european version only. North America does not get this full digital panel in any trims!

Wow, this dealership already has the 2023 version to show? Do you know the version's code. In Belgium the car is described as the BCTHVL02 (2022 version) and BCTHVL03 (2023 version). I'm hoping I ordered the 2023 version in september, my dealership said yes but I dont want to spam them with my questions :)

@@robinvaningelgom745 i believe all corollas delivered in 2023 will be the new model. Fun fact, i first thought to order the 2 liter to have the 18 inch rims, but now it appears to be standard on the 1.8 premium 👍👌. I hope we can already see the new model at Brussels motor show.
