Ooooh, I tried some builds, like, 10 years ago. There were: werebear daggerzon (a.k.a. the hairy woman), phaseblade zealot dream enchantress, venom+poisondagger full trang'oul set meleemancer, whirlwind frozen orbsin (which got stuck when level-up during whirlwind, which is every time), punching spell proc barb (he strikes fast without weapons), energy shield axe enchantress (she's surprisingly dexterous with big axes), and melee venomancer with no single point in poison nova (BoD maul + Andariel's + Bramble + Carrion Wind)
Did you happen to try the brand runeword, with maxed bone synergies. You could even use the necro specific armor runeword for the bone armor proc. Should be lots of damage, with good survivability
I considered this strategy, but I already had a brand necro, so I decided I would stay away from that and try something else. I really wanted it to be physical based, so I tried to push that.
Nice video and format! I allways wanted to find out the purpose behind that stupid necro-xbow :) Your playthrough kinda reminded me of the typical bowazon style, where your valk is frontlining and you're doing the damage. Which got me thinking.. the newer Mist-bow on an a1 cold merc actually slaps + gives you a concentration aura for your shennanigans, In combination with bonewalls and the golem tanking the A1merc by herself could slap most of em cheeks, everything's very safe and you can specialize in whatever else you want
I feel as though the end game for this build is pretty much like cooley’s video on the immortal necro. Set up corpses one way or another and revive them. Use your Edge bow for the thorns aura so now you have a frontline of enemies with thorns aura, which combined with the amp damage mod leads to big damage. Bone provides big physical resistance with the on struck bone armor proc with full synergy.
Honestly that sounds pretty boring and safe no offense. I think RNG was going for most raw DPS possible and forgetting the random little synergies and procs. Bone is wasted as he has enough points for the actual Bone armor skill which gets boosted even further with any + skills and Fortitude damage is too valuable to trade for just that.
That makes me so happy that someone picked that one out. I try to use the soundtracks of games i grew up with for background music in these videos, used about 6 or 7 games in this vid.
The only reason I didn't go the brand route is I already had a brand necro. Tried to push using physical damage instead. Brand necros are good fun tho!
Am I tripping or was the Pus Spitter actually doing better damage than the Buriza.. I swear I feel like a Nef Rune would be good in the Pus for some crowd control. It be hilarious if you prebuffed a Valkyrie with Peace and swapped back - proper zon vibes. Agree that the Faith is wasted as Fanat on merc is usually best with Summon Necro only because the main ability truly is Corpse Explosion and you're not using that this time. I also feel the Pierce is wasted as it's only truly useful if the arrow or bolt has high elemental damage along with it such as fire - so it explodes each target it pierces. Since the enchant on the Demon Limb isn't high the fire dmg on it is not doing much overall. Poor Necro in P8 he did soo good! I'd absolutely love this to be a solid lower player count MF build. Maybe Doom Pole Might Merc with COH and Andy's with Ist to boost his + skills and MF %, Summons everywhere and some fire dmg SC. The playstyle looks sick!
The video it did kinda look like the Pus Spitter was doing better, but it was slightly deceptive because I only showed it clearing act 1 while the Buriza was doing Chaos. Buriza was definitely better.
I love the concept. Did you by chance play around with maxing the synergies for poison nova so that way the pus spitter procs it on attack it gets the bonuses from it?
I didn't because it procs the nova when struck, as a ranged character I thought I would rarely be getting hit. If it was on striking then I 100% would have tried it out.
I would have went summon seeing you are not a pnb and meat shields are ok for defend. Also shop for multi shot, cold charge gloves. But if you are a masakis as you chose to do a xbow only build >_< 14:09 lol Is you're hustle bow just as fast as a hustle dagger ? Burst of speed would be annoying.
3 tals in 2 x fast speed bows and you would be good. You and ice Rouge would have no struggle in the beginning. Golem with iron maiden for the bosses. Corpse explosion is a must for the masses. The bone wall is waste of points.
Now that's the real rich man end game, I love it. Keep the Act 2 merc with might and Concentration and make it out of a beast. OR the cheap version, just make the iron golem out of the hustle. Man you got me thinking now.
i know this entirely defeats the purpose, but if you rly wanna play a crossbow nec, give him an edge crossbow and just run him summoner.... so sad that he doesnt have a single skill for crossbow :/

I now remembered that poison nova unique crossbow. Always wanted to try it out but never got around doing so.
This character would eat pieces of sh!t like me for breakfast
Haha this made me laugh more than it should have.
the funny thing is that there is a pretty popular normal d2 mod where necros have actual crossbow skills
Loved your video. I always throw a puspitter away. I want to see you do Ubers with it haha😂😂
ooof now that sounds miserable
grate vid and i love the ki mix
That was cool. Kind of.

dude what is that music playing during the vid in the backround? 🤯❤❤
so good!!
The song is called Fear Factory, it's from Donkey Kong Country on Super Nintendo. I tend to fill these videos with music from games i grew up with.
That Dungeon Siege 1 music at 10 30 hit me hard with nostalgia

@@lukaslu7850 yah noticed the dungeon siege 2 opening theme immediately and was like "is that?..." yaaaaa its dungeon siege 2
Best music for this! Necro looking savage and Crossbow for endless style points!
Rocking kinemil’s for paladin may be good for a 2nd episode
Hi. Cool idea, but why not trying Brand runeword with the bone spear synergies?
The only reason I didn't go the brand route is I already had a brand necro. Tried to push using physical damage instead. Brand necros are good fun tho!
😊you should have used runewords for crossbows on your playthrough. A harmony with lower resist could be nice.
Yeah, I had some runes put away, but halfway decent 3 and 4 socket crossbows were not dropping for me.
Have you tried the D2R reimagined mod ? It’s amazing !
I haven't, I have been overseas for the past few weeks. When I return I might give it a go. Looks great.
Am I tripping or was the Pus Spitter actually doing better damage than the Buriza.. I swear

Pellet crossbow is a 3 soc weapon for hustle.

lol putting a 40/15 in a pus spitter
Could try iron golem with pride instead of fire golem

Too bad he's not named Necrossbow(man(cer)) or something like that 😄
Mine is called Crossbownes
xD.
