    I think that the painbody model, is the most important tool, I have ever experienced in order for having a more harmonic life. No matter what you have experienced in life. Awereness and disassociation from the PB, seems to reset everything that course us problems in our daily life, and in our relations with other people. 😍

    Hi. I'm from Brazil. I got to know Eckhart's theory ten years ago. These teachings have revolutionized my life. The pain body is certainly the most incredible of these teachings. And the most impressive thing is that when we become permeable to this pain body, it shrinks in size almost immediately. but when we resist it, the opposite happens. the pain body doubles in size. the secret is to be aware of it and let it pass through you.

      I think I heard it referred to as the 'Law of Reversed Effort' once. The more we resist, the stronger it gets. Subtle, but very liberating once understood.

      @@drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy I usually use the wave metaphor at sea. when you allow the wave to pass through you, it does not knock you down. but if the wave comes and you don't flow with it and choose to stay rigid, the wave will burst over you and it will hurt.

    The concept on the pain body alone has changed me forever in amazing ways.Thanks for posting!

      Thanks Martha. It's an amazing concept. Helps with self-compassion when the pain re-surfaces, as it tends to do.

    I have a very heavy pain-body and it operates via fear and rumination. It flips around the idea of joy and pain. My egoic mind tells me that pain is joy, and joy is pain. Or in a sense that I don't deserve joy, but I must suffer.

    I must say Teal Swan Has a method that she uses with another person to address the emotions as they come up and she confronts them in order to feel it go through it and allow it and release it. Thank you for sharing this! I’m having some emotional body sensations and mental pain of “loss” or heart palpitations and I’m trying to work on my chakras to clear and transmute negativity. Any other advice? I am going to start to work on my channeling with writing because I feel something bigger is coming through me to be addressed and released for the collective consciousness! Thank you! Thanks for your work! Thanks for your encouragement 🙏🏻♥️🎄

      Great work Lisa. I think that sometimes things can get very overwhelming. Writing can be so useful. At other times, a complete surrender to the intense feeling is called for. Like they should just be accepted as they are without any analysis or deconstruction. Love Teal Swan also. She has a very good process for inner integration of trauma.

    This pain body destroyed my life
    But now im aware mostly and let it pass without resistance
    But even it is so strong and hard to dissolve
    Ive strong fearful emotions when I observe it without resistance it’s still there making me uncomfortable 😣

    when we are aware of the painbody and are able to stay present/focussed and dissolve it, do we use that trapped life energy to become significantly more conscious? that's my understanding of it

    • @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy
      @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's my understanding Andrew. It's identifying with it that causes us to lose energy. Disidentifying (without needing to stop or control it) liberates us.

      @@drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy thank you. would i be right in saying that what a lot of mental health disorders are, are simply instances where people have become too identified with their painbody? not to sound insensitive.

      @@AndyPandyLikesCandy I would say more so for the darker experiences where shame, guilt and depression are experienced. Other conditions stem, not from the pain body or Shadow, but from living from the Persona. This creates emptiness and even anxiety.

    Can you get a pain body from a traumatic experience? Like traumatic over a first time anxiety experience and depression ? I have this weird gut negative feeling , but I’m better aware now then before

    • @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy
      @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Trauma, anxiety, depression. My understanding is that it all is stored until released. It needs to be sustained so it creates further conflict in life.

    i have serve body anxiety (tight throat, hard to swallow, tight chest, racing heart ect..) now even when im not consciously fearful of these sensations and even when i have no anxious thoughts about them the feeling seemingly never goes if so not for more than a hour or so, is this the pain body ? i can practice presence and still it doesn't take long for the sensations to crop up again, its been happening for around 2 years in different forms but now becoming unliveable. any recommendations appreciated x

    • @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy
      @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jack. Under the anxiety there may be other emotions waiting to be touched or felt into. Quite often these emotions are around guilt, shame, or what I call the 'defective story'. Deeper still are feelings of being isolated or alone. While I can't say what applies in your case, in general I would say that finding ways to be with the anxiety (listening to it) is the way forward. The anxiety is often a more surface level or protective emotion. It's important to do whatever you can to feel safe. Also, not judging yourself for the anxiety is a step we often overlook in our attempts to 'fix' it or get rid of it.

    What is the difference between ego and pain-body? I have a very poor career throughout my life and constantly run into the conditions related to this which cause anger in me every time. If I just let it pass through each time and don't react to it, then this poor career will disappear and be replaced with what I desire automatically without me doing anything? Is this what Eckhart Tolle means in his teaching?

    • @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy
      @drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pain body is more about trauma kept in the body. The Ego is the device which maintains a sense of separation. It recycles the pain body.

    Like every single other video before you you FAILED to mention and give an example of how to allow and what allowing an emotion would LOOK like! and how do we resist what DOES resisting and emotion look like. That's the practical example we all need.

    I react with negative emotions tomands everybody eventuelly. More specificly, I think noone can see me ore everybody wants to hold me down to a point where I am not even considered human ( insane, crazy is the stamp/ predijice that will allow for total dehumanizasion. ) In other words abuse me. I think that, because I hold myself down, and dont listen to myself my own feelings ( not by "hoovering" above that). So why should anybody else respect me, treat me as an equal when I subcounsciously dont think I am. I was treated like an object ore like I was a lunatic without any realness, any human worth. Like I was benath any other human beings because of predispotion, from earliest childhood. Thats why I have those beliefs... I try not to Identify with the story. I Know I am of the same stuff as everybody else. But how do I do that ? And will that eventually change anything?- Weather they react that way ore I am just feeding my painbody.
