Avoid 71 like the plague. Even 315 is better. Unless you are starting out above OSU heading North or below Frank RD going South. Avoid. Avoid. If not go after 10 am but before 3 30pm on Weekdays.
Short answer, the Eisenhower administration. Fortunately, when the ongoing construction of the split is complete, Mound and Fulton Streets will facilitate entrances and exits at both ends of downtown Columbus.
- East side at 0:49, the flock of birds are at the site of a former trash dump, later converted to a links-style golf course, but now abandoned. - Fun Fact: State Route 104 is Exit 104. - Section where I-71 and I-70 converge swapped pull-through lanes a couple of years back. Electronic signs were posted advising drivers to ignore their GPS devices. - Other Fun Fact: there is no mention of The Ohio State University (1.1 mi away) on I-71
🎄Merry Christmas Week Mileage Mike. Cool Christmas week for us riders loven Ohio.Heres Hope your 2022 will be a marvelous journey through the States. Be blessed brother....👍👌👊🚘🎄 (Ohio!!!!)
the first ever car crash occurred in columbus ohio, in a field southeast of downtown near where I-70 and I-71 split today. columbus residents still carry on that tradition to this day.
4:24 I can’t believe i71 turns into just one lane for a brief moment. I’m sure the city will be upgrading these intersections soon? Like what Indy is doing at the moment with their out of date freeways downtown..
They won't likely all be skyscrapers, but it will be possible for Columbus to build new residential units after much needed changes in zoning codes. More mixed use developments, taller buildings in selected areas without parking requirements, and most importantly, not being restricted to single family units.
I remember those flags on the bridge coming home from liverpool pa.winter of 2015. Brings back memories.nice drive thru columbus.
The two I-71 interchanges downtown are a total nightmare. I’ll never understand the logic behind how this interstate was routed through Columbus!
Lotsa accidents! Too many tractor trailers

Nice drive along I 71 North in Columbus OH.
Awesome skyline views! Used to visit Columbus often
The skyline has the best view on I 70 eastbound & westbound!
71 north view is nice but 70 eastbound has it beat. 670, dublin road and west broad have great views too

Pittsburgh interstates freeways are obsolete also
they’re doing construction on it, but they’ve been doing construction there since the dinosaurs went extinct
@@jgrysiak6566 oh I know!! But that’s all “northeast” cities!!
Joyeux Noël et bonne fête de fin d'année.
C'est intéressant de voir la ville de l'Ohio .
Merci bien .
Columbus is my hometown! The largest in Square miles in Ohio. More than Cleveland and Cincinnati combined
New top city in Ohio
The whole layout has changed since this drive. Long term improvements.
For the 32nd biggest city in the nation.. freeway infrastructure has A LOT of catching up to do!!
Metropolitan area, not the city.
Nice city😀👍
Columbus needs to build more skyscrapers!

Columbus Is The Capital Of Ohio
Wow! Columbus Ohio is really that clean?! 😮 California is full of tents, homeless, graffiti and trash! I can’t wait to move to Columbus in the summer!
If you go by this video exclusively, yeah, Columbus is clean.
Don't, the city is polluted with lots & lots of crime!
there’s plenty of that in columbus too. you’re not going to see much of it on freeways though
