Good morning and happy All Hallows Eve Eve! Hard to believe that we're so close to November. I love the mash-up! Having the sitting up cats on the placemats is such a nice way of tying them with the table runner, without making it an exact match. Having them face opposite directions, plus mixing up the colors of the pumpkins, puts this squarely in fraternal twin territory, and you know how much I adore fraternal twin projects. With the table runner, you've got a beautifully matched table set, and done in time for Halloween to boot. (If you have enough scraps, you could even make a couple cloth napkins to go with it.) The nipped point on that ear reminds me of one of the *many* cats my old neighbor had during the years we lived next to each other. He was a big, oh-so-smelly tomcat named Mower (rhymes with tower) and I loved him dearly. He got in a lot of fights over the years, and as a result had a little notch in the tip of his left ear, just like your placemat kitty. So you might be disappointed that your point wasn't perfect, but for me it brought back a nice memory of a cat that I loved, and made me smile.
I'm glad you like it, I thought you would. I still have plenty of scraps left but I'm leaning more towards mug rugs and cat coasters. The more I look at it, the more I like the clipped ear too. Everything else worked so well so it's nice to have that little flaw. I think it gives the cat a bit of a story too. I've had rough tom cats over the years too, Miles and Bill both have scarred ears, so I think it fits. Have a Happy Halloween and I wish all the children visit you. I'm hoping to get 50.
Binding can be tricky. I recommend small, straight projects like mug rugs and placemats when you start. Also, you can make quilted projects like the aforementioned projects without having to do any binding.

The set looks really good together. Love the fabric choices
Thank you 😊 I’m so happy with them.
I am so fascinated with quilting. I want to try it so bad. The binding intimidates me
