To me the Golden would be the "nude" version for folks with warm undertones and haven't seen anything warm tone since the Yucca pallet. I am so excited for this one. I was waiting for something that wouldn't turn dusty on me.
This is the reason I didn’t buy any ND palettes for a long time (I only own Xenon Midi). There was always at least two shades that appeared the same way on my skin tone. Or the pallet was really one note. But this style leans into being a makeup brand and good marketing. As a makeup artist brand the way she is streamlining her palettes it’s easy to find what you need quickly. So instead of grouping based on mattes in one and all the shimmers in another i.e. Makeup by Mario and Esum. She’s tailored it by color story. The berries are in love and retro, the taupes are in the glam palette etc. yet she still reaches “the average make up consumer” by having mattes and shimmers bundled together. There are so many introductions to the brand via face and mini palettes that if you buy one of them and like the formula, you’re almost guaranteed to buy its monochromatic midi counterpart. I remember when My Dream first came out. I started debating how I would change the palette around, especially if I had other midi palettes. So if you’re US based, see the versatility in magnetic palettes, not singles. ND is one of the few brands you can buy in box stores. It’s good marketing. I agree that I wish palettes were more versatile. Eventually i think there will be more complete palettes but the way they are releasing now guarantees more sales.
I know opinions here will differ but to me it feels like Natasha took Gold and removed all the fun shades, fits well with her more recent monochromatic palettes but I am glad to own the OG Gold. Curious indeed if the formulas/textures will be updated so keep us posted!
Her metallic formula has become so different in terms of feeling creamy versus glaze like feel and look to it. Kind of like PM satin formula it had a thicker consistency than since I need a nude came out. I’m not a fan of some of the lighter glaze like shimmers.
A gold collection is perfect for summer, of course. I still hold out hope for a midi version of Leila and Star. They are both faves for me. I would like to see her develop a really good powder blush too. I'm a power girl and I feel like she's missing that in her collection. For now, I'm looking forward to this. Natasha rarely disappoints.

I have the OG gold palette and am kinda sad she didn’t include the Dijon Matte in the new palette.. that one was my favorite. Still tempted to get the new one of course. ❤😂
While I have had no regrets about skipping on the discontinued Gold palette, I am glad to see ND is revamping her larger palettes into midis because there's hope that Star, Lila, etc. may be released at a more affordable price point in the future. I do not mind the repeats because I am selective about which products I buy and won't bother to collect every single pallete. For those who are missing the fun pops of teal, lime, and mustard, perhaps ND is holding off on a Golden mini palette that will re-introduce them to her collection. Or maybe she will pull another Retro & Retro Glam situation, with a return of the olive color story from Gold mini (which I am personally most drawn to) or even a condensed version of Metropolis. Until then, I think this new midi Golden palette will be a perfect companion to Yucca. Can't wait to see your comparison videos/showdowns/mashups, Alicia!

Natasha Denona makes THE BEST eyeshadows and I cannot wait for Golden! It appears to me that the new palette may be a one and done palette (meaning the ONLY one I need to pack for travel). Yes, there are lots of brown and brownish shades palettes, but to have the quality of Natasha Denona coupled with those insane sparkles makes me go weak! My money (literally) will be on a mix of formulas similar to her last two palettes, which I do love. I like her wet effect formula and you know she has to include at least two duochromes in here, like you suggested. I think with the variety of undertones and a few different formulas, we will have a really solid addition to ND's line. Something I will most likely love. I see a huge different in quality between her older formulas and these newer ones. She keeps getting better and better.
If there is one palette that I regret not buying is definitely Metropolis! I wish she will come out with it one more time in the updated formula or like a revamped version. Definitely one of her best!

Ever since I saw that new palette I have been feeling gold. So I got out the old ND Gold palette and wore it today. I used two of the browns, Sandstone and Log(crease, corner, and undereye liner. Then put on one of the gold metallics for center lid and topped it with Sparks. It's beautiful. And my old Gold palette still performs like a dream. But I'm still tempted by the new palette. I'm going to wait for reviews on this. It should be (I hope) a permanent palette. And I find it interesting that it's being released now. It feels holiday. Which makes it perfect for our sisters in the Southern Hemisphere, for their Fall. She seems to be making 2 Midis a year now. So I wonder what the theme of her other one will be. I might follow your lead and dive into gold more until Golden’s release. And yes it does fell holiday, but I can see it lean summer as well. I think this will be permanent since I consider it to be a glam moment, as opposed to Xenon.
Idk, when I think of her gold palette my mind jumps to the teals & blue duo chromes, not the other side of the palette (I think its what made it stand out/unique) her mini is just gonna be a neutral brown palette & there’s nothing unique about that color story at all. I still plan to get it though just cause the basic in me can’t help myself (neutrals really do always sell) lol i like all things brown & gold, its safe & usually always flattering.
Agreed, the gold green/teal shades gave the palette a unique look and more variety in looks. I’m disappointed that this is just the gold half but it is pretty.

I don't necessarily want to taste or smell raw ingredients plus unscented is boring to me (and also I grew up in the Bonne Belle/ Lip Smackers era) so having something smell or taste nice gives me a tiny boost of serotonin and I'm more likely to apply it.

Thank you for reminding me to pull out my Gold Palette this week. I’m medium deep so the majority of the mid-tone shades look similar on me. I appreciate the teals and lime shades to give more variety to the Gold palette. Perhaps I’ll check this palette out in person to decide if I truly want the updated formulas in the Golden Palette.
Lime chrome is really something else on you. I bought the palette just for that shade but it’s such a solid release. I’ve got them all so I’m on the fence about Golden but I’ll probably just get it. I’ve ditched Pat entirely - didn’t even pick up XI. And didn’t even pick up the recent Suqqu release. Natasha soars above them all. Ok I just talked myself into buying this new one.

I pulled out my Midi Zendo and Metropolis to look at the teals and you are right, we can get the feeling of the original gold for sure! I do love the olive/army greens in the gold mini and wish we would get something a little more grungy from ND. Yucca is too bright to be called grungy in my book. I just depotted all of my minis and I do love seeing all those shades together in a z-palette.
I don’t have the IG Gold palette so I’m looking forward to this. I think Golden will complement the Yucca palette perfectly. I did buy the Alter Ego gold inspired palette too. I like to use highlighter shades on my eyes. I’m thinking of buying the lowlights from Danessa Myricks. I will probably wait a bit but I will inevitably buy the Golden palette.

The picture drew me in immediately. I love these colors. I was fortunate enough to be able to get a Gold palette when she allowed a limited release a year or two ago. I, too, struggled with it. Thanks for the advice. I’m going to get it out of my archives and follow your advice. As for this beauty… Golden… the answer is a definite yes! I’m not sure about the Trio. Natasha’s shades aren’t as universal as she thinks, and I bet there are plenty of people on both ends of the color spectrum who are tired of saying, “well, I can always use it on my eyes.” I am trying hard to pass on the gorgeous gloss because I have a similar product from Dame PMG. Lastly, on a totally unrelated note, I am rediscovering ND’s Triochrome. I think it is perfect for Spring. I think it is deep in the archives of many makeup nerds because she gave it the wrong name. The special shades did not compete with Indie brands. But, the mattes are beautiful. I am determined to take out these older palettes (that I tricked myself into believing I had to have) and use them. Great post ❤ Beautiful looks!❤

Alicia, I am endlessly greatful for learning to apply make-up prior to the internet! Never have I applied shadows nor other products the way most unfortunately do. I still continue to cringe at the mistakes that so many make and how they misunderstand the products. Honestly, four mattes! I'm lucky to use two and I started using eye-shadow before shimmers had been created. Anyway, before I start off on a rant about how YT has destroyed the application of make-up, I only purchased my ND Gold Palette a few days prior to Christmas on eBay! It's surprising what I've discovered there.😉 I still will purchase this new gold beauty as it does look different to the Gold Palette. Really, how can you look at this new one and leave it behind? I won't hurt it's feelings like that and deprive my many other ND Palettes of its company. I was initially drawn to the Gold Palette due to the teals and green/golds. I see this new midi as something I can use in other ways. The formula will be of a better quality and I'm looking forward to its release. There's me thinking that the only purchase coming up will be the Isamaya Ffrench Industrial Palette No.3! Well, always save for a rainy day.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

I missed out on Gold, so I’ll get this. I feel it’s a little repetitive-wish there’d be at least an interesting addition-like the Bronze palette with those purplish deep colors-I never would have put those in that palette, but I’m so glad Natasha knew better! I wish the new Gold had some little twist like that to break up the browns and offer a shade that just somehow elevates the experience. But I’m still excited.

Definitely gold pallet. I did get a few pallets called Vive in London. When I last was there this month awesome was the 90s pallet and I’m still keeping the original gold.

Great video! the original gold palette and I didn't get on too well. Perhaps I should say the mattes and I didn't get on so well as the blended right in my skintone as an warm olive toned person. i'm happy that the mustard mattes are not in this midi golden palette, i'm definitely getting this!

Is pretty but with the no preservative thing that she is doing and I own the bronze palette, so I don't think I will get enough use before it goes bad. I don't go through eye shadow fast enough to have science experiment in my vanity for $69, I like the formulas but at this point I don't need more gold.
@@BlingyBea I think she used alternative preservatives, that are not as effective as her original formula. There’s a huge push in the industry to go “clean”, but that comes with a heavy trade-off of products with a significantly shorter shelf life 😮💨

The dose is too low, and our skin is an organ that’s designed to keep things out for that very reason. Maybe I’m off mark on this assessment, but that’s what I believe. Which I know doesn’t make it true, but give me the damn parabens over the new fangled bacteria that evolves from not using strong enough preservatives 🤣

I’ve enjoyed this video so much! I love the “speculating” together with some actual facts and research! ❤️ I bought the original Golden second hand, hardly used, for €50 euros! Couldn’t pass that! And it is a beautiful palette, very impactful and rich tones. I think I will skip the midi because it has so many shades from the original. But still intrigued! I think I was hoping more for a purple/green palette, as fun as the Yucca for example.
We might get another Yucca moment before the year’s end! I feel like Natasha could do something “oceanic”, where you can get crazy with all facets of blue 😍

I love my OG gold palette 😊 I used the greens & did the most stunning look … you made some good points … bronze was & still is my all time most loved & used palette … I don’t care the looks are similar 😂 I have just about ALL ND palettes all sizes … plus another million palettes & I’ve used bronze the MOST … that’s a big deal 😊 I will absolutely get the new golden palette 😅 if you love the shades go for it ! The midi Xenon I’ll get too (though I was one of the haters of it 🤣) but ND can do no wrong & I’m sure she’ll improve those sparkly shades … I love that she’s remixing these iconic palettes ! Metropolis was a masterpiece my 1st ND pal I was hooked! I thought it was quite expensive back then! Then I met Motherships. lol I understand the Morphe-effect 2017 influencer. I love Gold I still got mine. Mattes are my least favorite formula. A lot are patchy. It is hard to make a good matte, but ND is the best! Adept makes good mattes too.,
I loved the previous ND palette so much that I bought a backup when I knew she was discontinuing it! I will be purchasing this collection also right down to the lip shimmer. Can’t wait to see your comparison of both palettes! ❤
Late to the party, but I agree with you 1000% about Metropolis. To me, Metropolis was Natasha's peak hands down. That's her Magnum Opus and I will die on that hill. Now imo Glam palette comes second ONLY because I do not really need a Sunset, Bronze, Zendo, nor the OG Gold - I have them in Metropolis. Now do I want the new Golden palette? Well, yes 😅 but that is because I did not get the Gold (again, Metropolis), but I always wanted it and I am willing to pay the price of a midi one. I am still waiting for that same peak though ❤
My first instinct was, "YES, I WANT IT!" However, after watching your video, I tried to "dupe it" the best I could. I have the Gold Palette, so now I am not sure if I will be picking the new one up. I will come back to your channel and see your review on the palette and decide afterwards. I am defiantly feeling 50/50 right now.
I missed out on the original Gold palette but what I liked about that one was the two teal shades. The new Golden palette doesn’t have the teal so I’m not interested in picking it up.
I got FOMO when the Gold palette briefly resurfaced and it was pretty much confirmed it was being discontinued so I picked it up full price. First (and only) time I’ve ever purchased a palette at this price point without SOME kind of discount 🫣 It’s my most expensive palette and though I love it, I make sure I’m giving that baby use so I get my moneys worth 😂 So yeahhh I have zero justification for getting this palette but my wallet’s not complaining haha. And yes! Wearing Bronze palette today and wholeheartedly agree, it’s top 5 for sure 👌🏼🫶🏻

The most versatile Midi palette ND released is the My dream palette. I wish she would go down that road more
I also really like her sunrise palette for diversity! Certainly super warm toned, but she has a good mix of berries, oranges, purples, yellow etc.

While I have had no regrets about skipping on the discontinued Gold palette, I am glad to see ND is revamping her larger palettes into midis because there's hope that Star, Lila, etc. may be released at a more affordable price point in the future. I do not mind the repeats because I am selective about which products I buy and won't bother to collect every single pallete.
For those who are missing the fun pops of teal, lime, and mustard, perhaps ND is holding off on a Golden mini palette that will re-introduce them to her collection. Or maybe she will pull another Retro & Retro Glam situation, with a return of the olive color story from Gold mini (which I am personally most drawn to) or even a condensed version of Metropolis. Until then, I think this new midi Golden palette will be a perfect companion to Yucca.

Natasha Denona makes THE BEST eyeshadows and I cannot wait for Golden! It appears to me that the new palette may be a one and done palette (meaning the ONLY one I need to pack for travel). Yes, there are lots of brown and brownish shades palettes, but to have the quality of Natasha Denona coupled with those insane sparkles makes me go weak! My money (literally) will be on a mix of formulas similar to her last two palettes, which I do love. I like her wet effect formula and you know she has to include at least two duochromes in here, like you suggested. I think with the variety of undertones and a few different formulas, we will have a really solid addition to ND's line. Something I will most likely love. I see a huge different in quality between her older formulas and these newer ones. She keeps getting better and better.
I cannot wait until the formulas are revealed when Natasha releases her swatch video 😍
If there is one palette that I regret not buying is definitely Metropolis! I wish she will come out with it one more time in the updated formula or like a revamped version. Definitely one of her best!

Ever since I saw that new palette I have been feeling gold. So I got out the old ND Gold palette and wore it today. I used two of the browns, Sandstone and Log(crease, corner, and undereye liner. Then put on one of the gold metallics for center lid and topped it with Sparks. It's beautiful. And my old Gold palette still performs like a dream. But I'm still tempted by the new palette. I'm going to wait for reviews on this. It should be (I hope) a permanent palette. And I find it interesting that it's being released now. It feels holiday. Which makes it perfect for our sisters in the Southern Hemisphere, for their Fall. She seems to be making 2 Midis a year now. So I wonder what the theme of her other one will be. Thanks for the video. You look stunning in that Lime shade. I've never tried it, but you've inspired me again.💚
I might follow your lead and dive into gold more until Golden’s release. And yes it does fell holiday, but I can see it lean summer as well. I think this will be permanent since I consider it to be a glam moment, as opposed to Xenon.

Idk, when I think of her gold palette my mind jumps to the teals & blue duo chromes, not the other side of the palette (I think its what made it stand out/unique) her mini is just gonna be a neutral brown palette & there’s nothing unique about that color story at all.
I still plan to get it though just cause the basic in me can’t help myself (neutrals really do always sell) lol i like all things brown & gold, its safe & usually always flattering.
Agreed, the gold green/teal shades gave the palette a unique look and more variety in looks.

23:06 lol "why would I want my lips to smell good" 😂 fair point. I prefer it bc my lips are the closest thing to my nose and my mouth. I don't necessarily want to taste or smell raw ingredients plus unscented is boring to me (and also I grew up in the Bonne Belle/ Lip Smackers era) so having something smell or taste nice gives me a tiny boost of serotonin and I'm more likely to apply it.

Thank you for reminding me to pull out my Gold Palette this week. I’m medium deep so the majority of the mid-tone shades look similar on me. I appreciate the teals and lime shades to give more variety to the Gold palette. Perhaps I’ll check this palette out in person to decide if I truly want the updated formulas in the Golden Palette.
Lime chrome is really something else on you. I bought the palette just for that shade but it’s such a solid release. I’ve got them all so I’m on the fence about Golden but I’ll probably just get it. I’ve ditched Pat entirely - didn’t even pick up XI. And didn’t even pick up the recent Suqqu release. Natasha soars above them all.

I pulled out my Midi Zendo and Metropolis to look at the teals and you are right, we can get the feeling of the original gold for sure! I do love the olive/army greens in the gold mini and wish we would get something a little more grungy from ND. Yucca is too bright to be called grungy in my book. I just depotted all of my minis and I do love seeing all those shades together in a z-palette.
I don’t have the IG Gold palette so I’m looking forward to this. I think Golden will complement the Yucca palette perfectly. I did buy the Alter Ego gold inspired palette too. I like to use highlighter shades on my eyes. I’m thinking of buying the lowlights from Danessa Myricks. I will probably wait a bit but I will inevitably buy the Golden palette.

The picture drew me in immediately. I love these colors. I was fortunate enough to be able to get a Gold palette when she allowed a limited release a year or two ago. I, too, struggled with it. Thanks for the advice. I’m going to get it out of my archives and follow your advice. As for this beauty… Golden… the answer is a definite yes! I’m not sure about the Trio. Natasha’s shades aren’t as universal as she thinks, and I bet there are plenty of people on both ends of the color spectrum who are tired of saying, “well, I can always use it on my eyes.” I am trying hard to pass on the gorgeous gloss because I have a similar product from Dame PMG. Lastly, on a totally unrelated note, I am rediscovering ND’s Triochrome. I think it is perfect for Spring. I think it is deep in the archives of many makeup nerds because she gave it the wrong name. The special shades did not compete with Indie brands. But, the mattes are beautiful. I am determined to take out these older palettes (that I tricked myself into believing I had to have) and use them. Great post ❤ Beautiful looks!❤

Alicia, I am endlessly greatful for learning to apply make-up prior to the internet! Never have I applied shadows nor other products the way most unfortunately do. I still continue to cringe at the mistakes that so many make and how they misunderstand the products. Honestly, four mattes! I'm lucky to use two and I started using eye-shadow before shimmers had been created. Anyway, before I start off on a rant about how YT has destroyed the application of make-up, I only purchased my ND Gold Palette a few days prior to Christmas on eBay! It's surprising what I've discovered there.😉 I still will purchase this new gold beauty as it does look different to the Gold Palette. Really, how can you look at this new one and leave it behind? I won't hurt it's feelings like that and deprive my many other ND Palettes of its company. I was initially drawn to the Gold Palette due to the teals and green/golds. I see this new midi as something I can use in other ways. The formula will be of a better quality and I'm looking forward to its release. There's me thinking that the only purchase coming up will be the Isamaya Ffrench Industrial Palette No.3! Well, always save for a rainy day.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

I missed out on Gold, so I’ll get this. I feel it’s a little repetitive-wish there’d be at least an interesting addition-like the Bronze palette with those purplish deep colors-I never would have put those in that palette, but I’m so glad Natasha knew better! I wish the new Gold had some little twist like that to break up the browns and offer a shade that just somehow elevates the experience. But I’m still excited.

Great video! the original gold palette and I didn't get on too well. Perhaps I should say the mattes and I didn't get on so well as the blended right in my skintone as an warm olive toned person. i'm happy that the mustard mattes are not in this midi golden palette, i'm definitely getting this!

Is pretty but with the no preservative thing that she is doing and I own the bronze palette, so I don't think I will get enough use before it goes bad. I don't go through eye shadow fast enough to have science experiment in my vanity for $69, I like the formulas but at this point I don't need more gold.

I didn’t know she went preservative free on her pallets, when did she change?
@@BlingyBea I think she used alternative preservatives, that are not as effective as her original formula. There’s a huge push in the industry to go “clean”, but that comes with a heavy trade-off of products with a significantly shorter shelf life 😮💨
@@aliciaarcher Sad to hear that, I don’t purchase any clean beauty products for that reason. No cream blushes or bronzers for me. Beauty products cost too much to have to throw them out cause they have gone bad. So far her midi pallets I have are still good.🤞
@@BlingyBea I just wish people would understand, that it would take ALOT for parabens to wreak havoc on us. The dose is too low, and our skin is an organ that’s designed to keep things out for that very reason. Maybe I’m off mark on this assessment, but that’s what I believe. Which I know doesn’t make it true, but give me the damn parabens over the new fangled bacteria that evolves from not using strong enough preservatives 🤣

Definitely wish it had some of those teals but I feel like she might do a different release with the teals and greens later on. And I fully agree about Metropolis being her best! It’s one of my most used palettes, I absolutely adore that color story.
I wish she had done a sort of gold palette remake with the new formulas... I had the gold palette and it's my favourite of all her palettes, I would have bought a similar one but knowing the golden palette will have so many repeats and all brown and gold it doesn't justify me getting it.. I'm sure it will have the new formulas, but still, my love for that palette were the blue shades and gold greenish shimmers

And it is a beautiful palette, very impactful and rich tones. I think I will skip the midi because it has so many shades from the original. But still intrigued!
I think I was hoping more for a purple/green palette, as fun as the Yucca for example.
We might get another Yucca moment before the year’s end! I feel like Natasha could do something “oceanic”, where you can get crazy with all facets of blue 😍

I love my OG gold palette 😊 I used the greens & did the most stunning look … you made some good points … bronze was & still is my all time most loved & used palette … I don’t care the looks are similar 😂 I have just about ALL ND palettes all sizes … plus another million palettes & I’ve used bronze the MOST … that’s a big deal 😊 I will absolutely get the new golden palette 😅 if you love the shades go for it ! The midi Xenon I’ll get too (though I was one of the haters of it 🤣) but ND can do no wrong & I’m sure she’ll improve those sparkly shades … I love that she’s remixing these iconic palettes ! Why not ?! Many slept on the OG gold & missed out .. now it’s their chance to grab it .. with at least a few of the OG shades while getting a brand new spin on it … it’s rare I skip on any ND palette; she’s literally a genius curating palettes & I still have a few of the larger palettes untouched … it’s ok 😅 they’re all in rotation lol waiting their turn … anyway I’ve rambled enough 😅 & I did meet & have a selfie with ND here in NYC … ❤ she was literally super sweet ❤❤❤ I’ve been heartbroken because I had to say goodbye to my beautiful pug Phoenix (he had acute liver disease) & I had to put him to sleep 💔😔🌈🕊️ it was devastatingly painful … thank you for this video somewhat helping me feel just a little better 💔 Phoenix had just turned 14 yrs old … I had him since he was 6 months old 😔🌈 I miss him more than words can say 💔😓

Metropolis was a masterpiece my 1st ND pal I was hooked! I thought it was quite expensive back then! Then I met Motherships. lol I understand the Morphe-effect 2017 influencer. I love Gold I still got mine. Mattes are my least favorite formula. A lot are patchy. It is hard to make a good matte, but ND is the best! Adept makes good mattes too.,
I also love the mattes in Star 😮💨

Late to the party, but I agree with you 1000% about Metropolis. To me, Metropolis was Natasha's peak hands down. That's her Magnum Opus and I will die on that hill. Now imo Glam palette comes second ONLY because I do not really need a Sunset, Bronze, Zendo, nor the OG Gold - I have them in Metropolis. Now do I want the new Golden palette? Well, yes 😅 but that is because I did not get the Gold (again, Metropolis), but I always wanted it and I am willing to pay the price of a midi one. I am still waiting for that same peak though ❤

I got FOMO when the Gold palette briefly resurfaced and it was pretty much confirmed it was being discontinued so I picked it up full price. First (and only) time I’ve ever purchased a palette at this price point without SOME kind of discount 🫣 It’s my most expensive palette and though I love it, I make sure I’m giving that baby use so I get my moneys worth 😂 So yeahhh I have zero justification for getting this palette but my wallet’s not complaining haha. And yes! Wearing Bronze palette today and wholeheartedly agree, it’s top 5 for sure 👌🏼🫶🏻
