Fly Hawk Model Titanic upgrade pack in 1/400 + bonus

Hello and welcome to another season of MSH here on TH-cam.

We will start of this season by taking a look at Fly Hawks upgrade kit for Academy titanic in 1/400 scale.

This incredible upgrade kit contains well over 1000 parts to enhance, correct and improve the native model. You will be working with metal brass, resin and wood. This upgrade kit is not for everyone and even very experienced and seasoned scale model builder will have a challenge wit this upgrade. Just a word o warning ;) But when you do manage to add all this intricate pieces on the model it will lift it to another level.
As a bonus I will be showing additional expansions to the kit such as masts, chains, decals and paints.

Good call mate. Reviews are everywhere but build videos are all different and you get a better idea of the model quality when someone else builds it. I always wanted the revell Titanic but after watching your build and listening to your opinions on the kit, I think I'll pass 🤣

I would also check the Modelmonkey page since they're selling 1/400 funnels that are accurate and replaces what comes on the Academy/Airfix kit. Regards the Vallejo Titanic colors, your right in using the standard white since whatever comes on the kit is a bit too creamy. However that creamy white is the perfect color choice for the tops of the cargo hatches and the canvas tops of the lifeboats. Also, the wooden deck color that comes on the set is the good color match for the lower half bulkhead sections on the fore and aft well decks since when sprayed it has brownish orangeish color.

I have the Academy Titanic from 1998 with the nr. 1458. Do you know if the set from Flyhawk works with this Model?

it's kinda late but YES. I have the same Academy model and this Flyhawk kit is specifically made for the Academy. I have purchased it too and it is amazing. Full worth the 100€. The only thing missing are the two metal poles for the teleraph.

I have a Revell 1/400 RMS Titanic. All the aftermarket upgrades claim to be for Academy's 1/400 Titanic kit. Does the Flyhawk upgrade set fit Revell's 1/400 RMS Titanic?

Hi. Unfortunately,not. Some minor thing perhaps, but the majority of parts are tailored for Acadamy and Airfix Titanic in 1/400 scale.
