Good guess - IO-375, CS-Prop and 15Gal additional fuel in the rear baggage hold. Foam in the wings to avoid sinking after ditching, Other than that just additional equipment like life raft, helmet, tracker, transmitters, tools....
I don´t have a list and probably never produce one. But - 1365 USG of fuel used, multiply that by estimated average cost of $7 per Gal plus about $ 2000 for landing fees, handling, overflight permits, parking, ATC charges, facility fees and whatever. No fixed costs included so the sum is about $ 12.000. Hope this helps and - don´t tell my wife !!
Do you have any guidance for someone that wishes to do the same? Where can someone go to learn about the permits needed? What weather and navigation products do you recommend? As a 787 pilot that flies in these same area of the globe I am very impressed and inspired by your journey. Thank you.
Flying 787s - very cool. At least you know the routes and areas from up high. For me it was many sources which I had and puzzled it together. Reading the Atlantic Manual is a good start but following all the rules and recommendations there and you never go. The local AIPs are another source. But best is to talk or communicate with pilots who did actually fly there - they have the most valuable infos at hand. I used mostly windy,com and weatheronline.com.uk and of course the aviation weather reports you are familiar with. For planning I subscribed to foreflight, a very powerful navigation app. BTW permits you only need for experimental airplanes on this route, any other regular registered airplane doesn´t need one.
Too much to describe with a few sentences. Prepare the airplane, thorough inspection, get overflight permits and all the necessary and required emergency equipment. Make a plan for the worst case and accept the remaining risk. Of course prepare and know the route.
@@skyrunner1818 Inspections are based on perceived threats. I wonder what sort of cock-eyed rationale went into requiring that a tiny airplane that passed through Canada be scanned for radioactive contamination.
Wonderful images and flying. But the music is unacceptable. It's worth to comment with your own voice your motivation, the routes and weather conditions and find a music experienced helper to finalize this. Then it will be perfect
Unacceptable is a hard expression. Not all the audience would understand aviation comments but I understand your input. I'm not good at selecting the right music but won't hire an expert for this.
There are aviation movies which also use pilots vocabulary. Your intention. The flight route. Your plane. Your preparation. The dangers. The stops and what you experienced there. Your fascination. That’s what people are interested in. All can be narrated while showing your super images. If you need music at all will have to show when this work is done

They are! We have 2 iPads onboard that could be used in a pinch if necessary.

Mostly Gopro10 and Insta360x3. Sometimes Gopro5 on the wing and a Sony RX100, but they have no or marginal video stabilization.

Started the trip with 900 hours on the clock. Presently I´m at 1080 hours and counting.
