Hey, Ive had this system for 2 decades now. Sometimes the speakers don't work and it's due to the speaker cables. Have you ever replaced the wires? Asking because on the back side the wires come out of tiny little spaces and I'm wondering if I just trim down the originals and drill tiny holes for new wiring, would that impact performance? Any help would be appreciated
it shouldn't just be sure to fill the gaps in the holes you drill so it does not cause an air leak, otherwise just get cables of the same thickness or thicker

Not sure if they still sell parts like that for these stereos, your best bet is looking around on ebay or places like that for it

I bought mine on fb marketplace from a white chick for $25. 2.5hr away but was definitely worth the drive and it came with the remote!!
