As a motorcyclist, I watch these videos to spot the issue before it occurs. The motorcyclist on the yellow and black bike should have seen that there was a gap in the traffic and slowed down or reposition in the lane. Question the gap, bikers!

Inner West ummm then I worry how you past your L test. You can exit on the inner lane of a two lane round about. Check the road manual. You can’t turn right from the left/outside lane however like the other car did which is what nearly caused the accident.

There were about half a dozen tradies drinking on a housing site near our place last week. Cops got wind of it, and did a not so random RBT on them all as they drove out. There's been no building activity whatsoever there this week.

No the silver commodore illegally turned right from the outside lane. DC car did exactly the right thing. At a two-lane roundabout the outside lane can only ever go straight (1st exit) or left (2nd exit) (straight arrow marked on the road at 6:45), otherwise they cross the path of cars exiting at 3rd, 4th etc exits from the inside lane which is exactly what happened here. The only other way there would be a car where the commodore was is if the commodore had gunned it entering the roundabout from one of the other entries/exits - for instance coming from the DC cars '1st exit' at the start of the clip and going straight - in which case the commodore would be failing to give way to cars already on the roundabout. I can't see the commodore entering the roundabout during the clip so I can only assume they were traveling alongside the DC car the whole time and should not have turned right at the roundabout with the DC car.
@@tmmtmm Wrong. The roundabout is a type that is more common overseas than in Australia, and is something you might call a 'spiral roundabout'. The DC driver went into the right turn lane then went forward. Totally wrong.
@@FabsPro123 watch again. At 6:45 before either lane has done any turns, the left lane has a "straight only" arrow on the ground and the right lane has a "right only" arrow. For what you're describing, the left lane would have to have a "straight or right turn" arrow and the right lane would have to have a "u-turn only" arrow.
6:45-6:54... The driver with the dashcam is at fault because he was going into the round about intending to turn right but ended up not following the lines and crossing into the u-turn lines half way through the round about. I feel bad for the holden.

Seen it all too often. I always get a giggle when I'm at a set of lights with other riders and the light turns green. I'm always 10 or 15 meters ahead of them by the time they're done fumbling around trying to clip in. Flats for 40 years, never had a problem.
6:50 Dashcam driver changed lanes. Those types of roundabouts you are supposed to follow the lines... The right lane becomes the left. By moving into the centre lane, the dash cam owner was required to go around the roundabout, but they tried to make an illegal exit.

@@SimoWill75 I tried some clip in pedals once. I went for a ride and fell over sideways. Some foreign couple who didn't speak English saw it happen and came over to see if I was okay. I assured them I was okay, but I couldn't explain about the pedals. They must have thought I was a mental case.
Seen it all too often. I always get a giggle when I'm at a set of lights with other riders and the light turns green. I'm always 10 or 15 meters ahead of them by the time they're done fumbling around trying to clip in. Flats for 40 years, never had a problem.
I don't brake when people pull out infront of me any more, the looks on their face with the close call are priceless
6:50 Dashcam driver changed lanes. Those types of roundabouts you are supposed to follow the lines... The right lane becomes the left. By moving into the centre lane, the dash cam owner was required to go around the roundabout, but they tried to make an illegal exit.

The amount of people who use roundabouts as fast chicanes in an imaginary race track is astounding. A majority of crashes at roundabouts would be less if people actually slowed down and have better awareness, especially when there's L platers and pensioners sharing the same road...
