The one guy was handsome till they gave him the worst cut I have ever seen... I don't care how famous someone is it's not always right .. i thought personally 2 were bad cuts and I would have had respect if someone admitted to it.
They're uglier LOL but they actually look like models now. I guess being a model isn't about being handsome but about looking exotic / unique!
Being a runway model for top designer brands is not about how beautiful they look conventionally, it is about their unique features and how they carry themselves and the clothes they are wearing.
Designers look for someone who can show their clothes off. Hence why you find models with unique features for top designer brands.

Of course they're not used to this new hairstyle, but when it come to professionals they're in good hands and also this is a competitive top modeling agency, their dream is to be top models to be on runway. I think the boss, teacher and model guy has a great taste and fashion statements and they've proved it.
Only one cut was good out of 3 and the one guy the butchered his hair and it did nothing for him ..

@@lioness77alfar Are you from the fashion industry or a relevant creative industry? I think all three of them appeal to me much more with their new styles as a fashion photographer and art director. Models aren't supposed to look 'normal attractive'. They need to be distinctive and unique in terms of look, style, and vibe.

And what makes her a better of a CEO is that she organizes events for her employees to go, she buys clothes for the employees, they get more freedom with there schedule but with a lot more responsibility, and let's not forget they get paid really well compared to other companies.

OMG, I’ve learnt so much from Esteem’s video. They had shown us a lot about fashion, the process of stage,how model walk, the different of standards between male-female model. I watched several of variety show and this show is the most interesting when it come to knowledge!

It’s so charming when he was talking about the fashion culture. I’ve always been curious about fashion but I never know when to start with fashion culture and history in my research, any advice?
Go to a local library or even a university/college library and borrow a few random books about fashion that catch your attention. It's better to start somewhere than nowhere. That's how you'll be able to find your own way to the subjects that interest you the most (for example, certain cloths like wedding dresses throughout history or how emancipation was shown/represented through fashion).
Vogue, Tatler, iD, vice and vanity fair magazines and internet presence are very good for getting the basic information about current fashion and style and from there you will find out about trends, books, exhibitions etc you might find interesting and want to research. Tbh don't try to find a place to start, just throw yourself into it
Maybe by starting knowing the name of the items.. Such as peep toe heels, Chukka Boots, Leather Denim, etc which you can learn in fashion magazines or internet.. Then after you can distinguish the items, you can start learning the history or mix-match style

Lol I wouldn’t go to a library. If you want to be a professional, that’s a totally different story. But if you’re just exploring fashion, then have fun with it. You don’t even have to actually focus on contemporary fashion trends. For example, you can look at costume design which involves an understanding of historical clothing. Someone I knew in the fashion department at my school worked at a museum where she would clean up/repair historical artifacts like old dresses or headpieces. You can talk with friends or family about things they might be interested. If you don’t have that, then look at social media, especially Instagram and see what people are wearing. It can be influencers, fashion brands, or celebrities. You can look up videos on TH-cam too, like other youtubers outfit videos, or even watch runway shows if you might be interested in. You don’t have to force yourself to do anything, but if you find something you think is cool then explore it.
Start by music genres its the easiest. Exemple punk, grunge, hiphop...

The make over and their new style won't look good on the street casually, but it really makes them look ready for the runway. Before they looked like any other dude on the street, after they stand out more which is important because they have to be models.

I like how it shows that fashion isn't following trends, fashion is what looks good on you. I wish more koreans realized that because I feel like part of the korean obsession with beauty is due to the fact that they dont change their styles to fit themselves, they change themselves to fit some trend. Realistically speaking, there is no way one trend will suit everyone so why not just wear what looks best on you be it clothes or a hairstyle.

Edit: woah I'm so shocked, I didn't know this many people saw this comment?! I just wanted to say that, I've been watching more videos and learnt more about her work ethic, and I have actually changed my mind. I find that she has a great sense for this line of work and behind each of her actions, although it may seem picky, harsh or too strict to some, has played a key role in the company's great success.

theres a greater expectation for women to be considerate and cautious regarding others feelings, but her wording was appropriate imo since shes a CEO and this is directed at her employees

i understand what you mean, but i think "don't worry about their opinions" also prepares them for when they might have to do something even more outlandish for their job. if they learn to stop caring about how people perceive them they might be more confident in their career from early on

16:30 I would just like to say that I still find it amazing how vital hair is to models. Like that amazing he looks 5x better and sharper now. All their looks tank out and emphasize t facial structures such as the ears, the cheek bones and the lip shape/nose bridge.

Kinda sad that the expectations for female and male models differ so much, with (obviously) visual appearance that is heavily emphasised on for females and RATHER style for males.....isn’t it quite ironic that females who are also models have to cater to the visual aspect whereas male models don’t really have to....? dang edited: To clarify, I’m not saying one is favoured over the other or discrediting the respective struggles for both genders but it’s just dawned upon me that these expectations of opposite genders merely adhere to heavily instilled stereotypes, which is saddening. Of course, this is also expected given the high standards of beauty for males and females in Korea....😥

And like you said, with so many various body types for females, to expect one to fit one ideal size, is it not more of a sadder reality? with style being relatively more susceptible to change than given body shapes?
@@loveyuri7695 At the end of the day the fashion market is overwhelming female and regardless of whether you think its not true or not the reason why females models are judged for their body shapes is because women want that shape. Theres a reason why there arent fat guys demanding people to give them a job as a model and male models, even though they earned way less than their female counterparts, are still very tall and lean across the board. Its because on top of having "swag" the market (mostly women) still want guys to this prince charming with athletes body.

she's right. What they lack the most is a individual style. The difference between the older models and them is that they haven't yet figured out who they are exactly or what their image should be. Figuring out who they are will in return give them aura and confidence

The 3 models really needed a makeover. As models they need to have the confidence to be trendsetters instead of followers. Also models are blank canvasses for designers so they need to be able to change their style to meet the needs of the designers they work with.
