I thought it was kinda odd, it always shows the names underneath and Simple stated multiple times which name was his, so it wasn't hard to tell who from who.
But if it helps folks, that's good.
It makes sense during the co-op games since the mega-board has to have them in a certain order, but yeah it is a very weird decision to do that for normal versus too

@@Kektus1 it showing the names underneath is still weird. The whole weird part of it, is that the host version should *always* be displayed on the left, why would it switch up from game to game exactly? I don't see ANY real reason that would be a good reason to swap the players sides.

This game is really cool, it's just that sometimes you have to wait for idiots to drop their pieces in the Co-Op mode. They take forever to find a spot.
When you soft-drop during the Zone thing, you HAVE to hard drop in order for it to lock in.

The best way to watch this video is to watch Simpleflip's opponents trying to master object permanence. We already know Simple is on that Tetris king shit.
Tetris Effect letting you play with friends in co-op certainly adds to the fun of a Tetris video, if I remember right you've said in the past you have no idea how you'd make a Tetris video but I think this was a good way to do it. Shoutouts to the editors who added the "Simple's side", saved me some time and was nice to have. Double shoutouts to Jelledot's Smash Bros introduction, as my internet started buffering at this exact moment and it paused with just the text on-screen, faded out and still flying towards the camera, fucking hilarious timing and I always appreciate Smash Bros music.
Being deathcultbeast at the end there and seeing meter contribution 7% must have felt like something else.

I wish I was this good at tetris. I never understand how people can react so fast, or how they know exactly where to put each piece immediately. Also, I love the (seemingly) completely random applications and tabs that were up.
This was just a very chill and awesome video. Never would I have guessed that at some point I would watch Simpleflips play tetris for 27 minutes and have such a blast in the meantime.

15:13 this is actually confirmed now, the way you get the line is completely irrelevant, just how many lines you get. However, cascade clears (clears you get from a piece tumbling down either at the start or from a purple piece collapsing) net you less damage.
I know this shit is a year old but please play more of this Holy shit it was fun to watch even though you were getting griefed the whole time. I'd love to see this played with and against actually good players
