My ar6 magazine from flechette archery works with any bolts 6.3"-6.7" including the smaller broadheads. I do have the factory limbs
hiya, ive got an ar6 as well, mine hates half n half bolts or plastic bolts, even some alloy bolts, have a video on here, of my mk1 ar6 bending bolts. its very fussy. there are some bolts my ar6 2, does not like either,
costs, for those that wish to know, op360/alligator £45, 90lbs steambow limb £50, Steambow trigger kit £30, Steambow stock kit £50 magazine £80. an evening or 2 to modify the cocking lever and chassis, few hours to build the mag and mod the make your own, non return spring. total supplied. £300. qc limb upgrade £40 extra. exchange chassis available. exchange bassis, £25 plus postage for qc modded chassis. string breech reprofiling £15, riser reprofiling closed frame £10, survival fire grips available £26.99 plus postage
For viewers this is 100% DIY, as EVERYTHING is modded, including the basic Mankung Chassis, however, looks shop bought, as to the level i have done it to.
quick question mark have the same bow with cart , using 6,5 bolts can i go any bigger like 7,3 7,5 thanx in advance bro
yes and no, all these mags are to short, for decent bolts, you need at least 7¨ 400grn really. you can use 7.3-7.5 onn the stinger without mag and flay nocks, 7.5mm od bolts and 4.5¨ long are unstable in flight. to short.
Those half and half bolts are the best aluminium bolts , the aluminium is thicker and you can glue the fletching back in if it pops out, I always superglue the thread on the tips in the tube too just so I never have to worry about it screwing loose, and I have used the same bolts over and over again (I don't shoot into wood though :D)
lol keep your eyes open on the bolts, look on my community page ;) ive changed the title, but its not updated yet on you tube, i dont know why
Hello Mark, thanks for your informative video. I also think it makes a lot of sense to change the default trigger. Unfortunately, the Steambow trigger is not cheap, so I designed and 3D printed one myself. Works great. I have a short video of it on my channel.
ill check it out, are gthe files available etc. what about printing, we could feature it?
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 Yes of course. Would you like to contact me via email? See my info
@@sprayinpaint
email sent, i did try to do a fund raiser to get some injection molded, but didn`t get one sniff from potential fun raisers, i think this woulld be a great option and get them pushed out here, they really do transform the bow!
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 Hey Mark, I've already replied to your email. Didn't you get them?
@@sprayinpaint only pops up, when i log in, on gmx. havent had a look today yet. :)
My mag (due to how it uses the safety catch as part of its functionality) also makes the standard trigger on the alligator lighter to pull ;)
lol is this some shameless plugging by any chance :) lol
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 yes it is ! Actually I just want people to have a system that won't fail wen you need it in a pinch, I actually don't mind if people get other mags, I refer more people to other mags (like in the USA they have good options so I refer potential clients from there to other similar products that function well instead of trying to rope them into buying mine and paying shipping costs etc)
Hi anyone got an instructional on fitting the V2 magazine please?
fitting the v2, is a piece of cake, just a nut n bolt through the front, that came with your front sight and the screw for the rear ramp mount, is all that is required, id put a couple of washers in the front though and i welded a nut in to the rear
Morning, can i ask where you purchased the magazine from?
Im in the UK and cant seem to find it anywhere.
Thank you
morning mate, heres the link.

@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 thank you 👍.
I got mine from ebay $70 US. Flechette archery ar6. It's great. He has you tube vids
"it jammed" said no one ever about the CrossTactics Rapid fire mag ;) mine is also 7+1 (8 cap)
lol ok ok , we`ll have it on, email me your details later lol :)
How much do you think is the minimum draw weight for a crossbow that you would deer hunt with?
thats a dam good question, lot of factors there, distance to target, size of the deer, weight of the bolt, head type, bow type.
i wouldn`t use anything less of 150lbs, and could guarantee a heart shot, if you can`t group inside a fist at 35yds standing, i think you have no business shooting live targets. if you cant 100% guarantee a clean kill, any person shouldnt be hunting.
ive some "ALLEGED" hunters with rifles, and they couldn`t hit a barn door at 10 feet, yet laws let them hunt, i think there should be a level of proficiency and minimum level set, for human kills.
if your camo and field craft is good, you could prob get to 8-10 yds and use 110lbs bow, but better bet at 35 -40 yds with 150 lbs, 50 - 60 yds id want 180 lbs, 80 - 100 yds, nothing less than 200lbs
I have to strongly disagree with you, I do not think it's the bolts that's the problem, the solid shaft aluminium bolts bend easier than the the half and halfs, I have seen them shot with 90 and up to 120 lbs limbs and they didn't bend or "flex" the fact that they jam is the magazines fault not the bolts . . I will never use the solid aluminium shaft ones again I have zero problems with the half and halfs :) they are the perfect bolts for the budget layman.
i dont have any of the solid alloys, so i cant comment or compare on that, but against the carbon fiber, i didnt get one jam, but have with the others, but once we get yours on the channel, ill mount it on another alligator :)
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 your carbon bolts do look nice and I'm sure they function great :)
Try to shoot through a coconut with those carbon fiber bolts. That will tell the tail best of all.
ill try to get some, but pretty much unavailable this time of year locally :(
There is a better design in which the arrow is reloaded and the aim is maintained at the same time
true, the mini adder, or the ek cobra, however mini adder v2 or v3 is not mass production, the ek archery cobra system is excellent but bulky, ive been looking at short range, self defence.
if you wanted to go all in, you could use the steambow, with the compressed air cylinders and just flick a switch to reload. the mini adder isnt designed to run a 90lbs limb or over and the ek is to bulky for using in confined spaces.
Mark did you explain and show that you need to cut, bend and drill your Xbows retention spring clip in order to get the "snake hunter" from tech 23 to actually work (even then it jams though lol)
I think this is very important thing for potential buyers to understand.
good point, i didnt show the making of the spring, it is a little fiddly, obviously you need a drill to enlarge the original hole, you need to bend the spring the correct way, in the relivent places and cur off the excess.
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 yeah it might be obvious wen you have it infront of you after you purchased it but in order for someone to make an educated decision on whether or not they want to go with this mag before they buy it. I personally wouldn't want to get it (putting other issues aside) if I knew beforehand that you need to do those modifications to your retention clip (I know I have said this before but it's the most expensive part of your Xbow and once it's modified you can never use it again except with the magazine unless you replace the retention spring clip) . . So I do think it's one of the most important points to raise wen talking about this mag from tech23 (and there are at least 3 other mags that work much better that come out of germany so people really do not need to go out of their way to try and aqquire this one.
self defence in UK??? also, self defence in UK using crossbow???
self defense any where! this is a global channel! anything from an armed intruder, to a lefty woke snowflake, that won`t take NO! For an answer...
Better term would be home defense since you can't carry in the street or conceal it. And you wouldn't want to use a mag that's going to jam wen seconds count in a life threatening situation.
@@CrossTactics keep your eyes open, im just uploading a video on the crap magazine :)
