Another fabulous recipe! I love this kind of meal. Comfort food at its best. With all my breaded meats after I bread I put them on a rack and let them sit for about ten minutes before frying. It really helps to keep the breading on the meat and not in your skillet! I love your seasoning for the flour. Thanks Rachel 🐓🍗
.... I let my breaded Meats rest on wax paper, on a plate in the Refrigerator at least ten minutes... this " seals " the breading/ coating .. you can do it in the freezer as well, about 5 minutes. ..My Grandmother taught me this. 🙂

Hi Rachel. I'm Barbara from northern California, near San Francisco. I've been enjoying your cooking shows for awhile. You have turned it into an art form with a heart! And, I for one am grateful. I began to learn to cook in the 2 flat of my parents and Italian grandparents on the Southside of Chicago way back in the mid 1940's! Now, I still cook for myself - with love! But not nearly so much. I get a lot of enjoyment from the great production of interested and talented cooks created by necessity during the pandemic. I laugh when you say "This is an easy recipe" and if I want to make it, I have to run to the supermarket where I can't find all the the ingredients, then I have to cut up the veggie's that I could find, use most of the pans, bowls, utensils I own, and raid the spice racks. But, the outcome is a happy pallet and full belly. Thank you! Your Ron is a lucky man!

Try what my Mom taught me on mashed potatoes >>> boil potatoes then mash with salted butter, salt and pepper and condensed (not sweetened!) milk. I also used canned milk in my gravy. I’ve been making this for years and you are the first person I have ever known to do it just like I do! I use the same seasoning except for the final salting once the chicken is done, I sprinkle with Lawrys seasoned salt because I love that flavor! Hi Rachel, I love your cooking. I am in VA and cook most of the meals. I laugh when you say "This is an easy recipe" and if I want to make it, I have to run to the supermarket where I can't find all the the ingredients, then I have to cut up the veggie's that I could find, use most of the pans, bowls, utensils I own, and raid the spice racks. But, the outcome is a happy pallet and full belly. Thank you! Your Ron is a lucky man!

Rachel, thank you for not only a hearty chicken recipe, but an easy one! I was pleasantly surprised to see you using bacon grease. I have always been taught to keep a container of bacon grease, as it is a delicious addition to soups as well. Rachel. I'm from Texas and salivate over everything you cook!! Your directions are easy to follow. Try what my Mom taught me on mashed potatoes >>> boil potatoes then mash with salted butter, salt and pepper and condensed (not sweetened!) milk. I also used canned milk in my gravy. You will love it! Thank you from Texas!!! ❤❤

I'm from Texas too-- and my Mom always adds a teaspoon of sugar to the gravy! It is SO good-- you should try it!

I’ve been making this for years and you are the first person I have ever known to do it just like I do! I use the same seasoning except for the final salting once the chicken is done, I sprinkle with Lawrys seasoned salt because I love that flavor!
