I love the sound of the Honda shifting through the gears. It looks really good against the KRX. The KRX is definitely built for slow and plush, like an Escalade for the trail.
I’m still in love with the Talon. I’m stuck between the Talon R and the X3 Turbo R. O the tough choices. Thanks for the honest input about all the machines you crazy guys drive it helps out a lot.

The KRX looks cool, I like the size of it. Seems well built. Just from watching you can tell she just needs a little more power. Wonder if an exhaust and a tune would make it come alive a bit?
What about some clutch mods? It sounds like KRX is revving well beyond where the torque band should be. I know my 650 Brute Force makes peak torque much lower in the rpm range than that thing is turning which makes a huge difference in dealing with extra vehicle mass.
@@Gonecheenin Max torque on the KRX is in the 7,000 rpm range. (77 lb/ft) It's just not meant to be a race rig on that type of course. However, it will eat the Talon (and most turbo rigs) alive on the rocks Suspension beats HP when the going gets really rough. Don't believe it? Just check out what Jeremy McGrath did in KOH. He was running 7th overall when he admittedly made a mistake and broke something in the front end. Still ended up 29th overall, even after 1-1/2 hour repair.
My biggest concern would be how loud it is at just normal trail cruising speeds. Is it anything like the older teryx? At 35-40mph theres no way to carry a conversion while cruising, also the gear whine in those was terrible.

@@SXSBlog yup just did that about a week ago. Was still to messy to test drive. And now my local dealership is closed. I am a honda fan and have been leaning towards the talon x but the krx was a little more comfortable/roomy compared to the talon and the krx appears to be over built in a good way bigger arms axles diffs and a true locker. But the honda appears to be taking everything you can throw at it. And every one that drives it seems to love it. Looking forward to seeing what every one has to say on the trail ride video. I live in upstate ny most of my riding is on hilly/mountain/ rocky trails.
Wade Moulton : I am in the same boat as you. I ride in WV exclusively and have narrowed it down between the Talon and the KRX. I keep going back and forth on which I like better. I like the KRX over the Talon if you’re just talking stock out of the dealership. I feel you would immediately have to upgrade the tires on the Talon. KRX just seems beefier.

The KRX seems like a really solid unit, but seems to need a LOT more power to properly take advantage of that chassis. Wonder how the centrifugal clutch would work with more power and how it could be tuned to suit different power levels and driving styles
If I lived and rode where you guys do, the KRX would not be my first choice or second. However we live in Moab Utah. And the KRX is the first choice for around here. They are everywhere. Simply a fantastic little rock crawler. Especially with the 35s we are running.
Yes! I’ve been waiting too see a side by side comparison of these 2 machines. Personally I think the Honda has the all around engine/trans durability over the krx. But in my opinion I think the krx will have better belt life vs the other machines due to its design and Kawasaki is no slouch in the durability game. It would be awesome to see you guys get a new Yamaha X2R! That seems to be a promising machine for trail riding and still usable for work.

The KRX by the way you describe it sounds like the feeling of going from my old rzr 1k to the new turbos. Felt like I could just throw it into corners and hammer down and be good but the turbo you have to play with the throttle or your gonna kiss a tree. Lol Still would have like to have seen the Honda and Kawasaki brands come to the table with turbos/more power! As late as they came into the game I would think that they had a lot of time to have developed a competitive machine.
Isn’t the XP1K RZR still the best selling model though? The turbos grab more headlines for sure but I think sales wise the na units still sell better. Could be why Honda and Kawasaki started there

Love the content Boys and love Honda’s Talon, plan to sell our 2019 1000X (Love the X just want to try the “Live Valve” 1000R out for a few seasons too). Then upgrade to the 2021 “Live Valve” 1000R (Two Door) ... That’s the Unit that deserves the Turbo treatment. As much as I would love to see you guys Turbo your current Talon(s) the “Live Valve” suspension should be a safer/Funner Kit to build upon aye?Just my opinion.
I can’t even say this because I haven’t driven either yet, but I think I like the Kaw more. Hopefully there will be some performance support for it. Wish I could ride with you guys. Getting so bored. St Helen is a good place to rip, mostly because it’s so close.

Man I love my krx I almost bought the Honda but thought the krx had more value for my money but damn if it’s not responsive they could have done so much more with its motor and clutching. On the trails it’s a beast does better than all other brands that my friends have but again I want a better throttle response and the krx would be perfect with that said great video keep them coming

As an operating engineer that operates heavy equipment for a career I would love to come build your track with heavy equipment for you guys. I can get all the water to drain off your track.
Had no doubt the Talon would take the KRX but the KRX still looks to be a stout unit! I think Kawasaki would have benefited from making the KRX a 60” wide unit however. It seems to be set up as more of a trail buggy (as far as power and gearing) and it’s lack of high speed performance makes its current 68” width seem unnecessary. Speaking for my self I would be much more inclined to consider the KRX if it was only 60” wide.
Take the under dog and make it a beast .. it’s possible.. and yes you have responded to me in the past and said the units broke all the time.. look past that .. you guys are proof that part of the fun and joy is fixing them .. make money in the process. Your getting a Cnc machine.. make parts that you know will fail and make parts that last they will sell.. without a doubt and oem will see what your doing.. you better believe the big players are watching your success!
Take the concave out and roll the top of the big jump to fix it ,check out some short course off road races and get some ideas, love the video's have fun and rip it up🤘
I love my YXZ! I ride with all CVT machines and everyone always fights to ride shotgun with me. Such an adrenaline rush ripping gears and hearing that triple scream. Banshee of SXSs no doubt. Just so raw... and so much power potential... theres some close to 800hp on built factory motors!!!
Graves is now making a really sweet high quality carbon fiber exhaust for the KRX 1000, it deletes the cat and sounds sweet...As well as Alba racing just came out with a tune for the Krx ,with those two paired ,it makes a big difference on my Krx few 10ths less 0-60 ...Leo see if they will sponsor a krx build? Alba tune and Graves exhaust
Watching the Talon vs. the KRX race after the Maverick vs. the Pro, was like watching geriatric's with their walkers racing in the old folks home. LOL! HECK YEAH DUDE! Great video guys!

To help from nose diving off the jumps. You have to come up to the jump & as you hit the jump stab the throttle & then stay on throttle until you land. Then get on it again. But when you let off the gas, as your going off the jump. That's what makes the back end pop up like it does. If you stay on the gas off the jump that helps keep the front end up. That's why everyone nose dives these things. Because most have never ridden an ATV or Dirt bike. Especially off a jump to know you need to stay on the throttle to keep the front up. Gas it in the air to get the front up, hit the rear brake in the air to get the front down.
I like how that since they've hung with Cleetus they keep saying brother and Cleetus keeps saying units.

There is a kit. Want a turbo, put it on yourself. Some people don't want want one bc they ride woods/trails
The KRX reminds me of a old Polaris RZR 800s, you can just hold the skinny pedal on the floor all day long and never get tired!

The KRX looks great but they need to get with the HP program buds. Maybe a Turbo from the Factory would have been their best bet.

If Kawasaki would focus on 2 or 3 years of development for the KRX it would be very nice.
I think with some clutch work exhaust and a turbo the krx would come to life. Id like to see it.

I think it would be cool if they made one in a 2-stroke engine! say a 4 cylinder 1000cc with 350hp ish :)

Extend the jump like 5 feet, same angle just longer. (Chassis is up-set before lift off at full send) My 2 cents sorry

That KRX handled the jumps much better than the Talon. It didn’t nose dive nearly as heard and had a smoother landing.

I was really hoping Yamaha was going to finally bring the YXZ up to date for 2021. Nope.
I love my YXZ! I ride with all CVT machines and everyone always fights to ride shotgun with me. Such an adrenaline rush ripping gears and hearing that triple scream. Banshee of SXSs no doubt. Just so raw... and so much power potential... theres some close to 800hp on built factory motors!!!
Graves is now making a really sweet high quality carbon fiber exhaust for the KRX 1000, it deletes the cat and sounds sweet...As well as Alba racing just came out with a tune for the Krx ,with those two paired ,it makes a big difference on my Krx few 10ths less 0-60 ...Leo see if they will sponsor a krx build? Alba tune and Graves exhaust
Watching the Talon vs. the KRX race after the Maverick vs. the Pro, was like watching geriatric's with their walkers racing in the old folks home. LOL! HECK YEAH DUDE! Great video guys!

To help from nose diving off the jumps. You have to come up to the jump & as you hit the jump stab the throttle & then stay on throttle until you land. Then get on it again.
But when you let off the gas, as your going off the jump. That's what makes the back end pop up like it does. If you stay on the gas off the jump that helps keep the front end up.
That's why everyone nose dives these things. Because most have never ridden an ATV or Dirt bike. Especially off a jump to know you need to stay on the throttle to keep the front up.
Gas it in the air to get the front up, hit the rear brake in the air to get the front down.
You guys need to rip that little pine tree out back there by the turn around at the big interstate sign!
