Thanks for these videos, Doug! Sylvaneth is my first army for AoS (first wargame I've ever played too!) And these lore videos give me so much hype and get me excited to paint and play even more. I've got Alarielle in a box, I think it's time to get her on the battlefield with her kin! 🌳
Sylvaneth are AOS Tyranids with souls.. Think about it, they have a queen, she's constantly telling them what to do, they constantly hear her, she constantly hears them/knows everything they know... it's a hive/hive mind... they just are given a slight bit of thought whereas the tyranids are just stupid bugs without a thought in their head.
Recently found your channel and this video is slowly getting me closer and closer to collecting sylvanth. Or Lumineth. The Alriele model is just awesome and I need the courage to buy and paint it.
The Alarielle model is definitely a center piece. Personally I'd get it last after your army is done so your painting skill is at it's best when you get to it.
I actually got this model from a friend in a trade, he got a bunch of Sylvaneth stuff for really cheap and she was in the box. That was like 2 years ago and I still haven't built up the courage to paint her.
I wish to know if the sylvaneth weapons are made of metal or wood. They have a metal aparence, but to me it make no sence that the sylvaneth have any metal.
It can be both. Sylvaneth can draw metal forth from the ground without damaging nature. But some weapons are grown from plants. In the Realm of Metal this will often be the same process.

And of course instead of eating a planet barren and dead the Sylvaneth instead do the reverse. But otherwise this is hilariously accurate.

I've always figured if I was a regular human in the AoS universe. Alarielle would be my primarily revered god.

Has anyone read the Everqueen short story they released during Broken Realms? Does it add much to Alarielle's story? Specially the rite of life?

So I love the lore of 40K and it’s other worlds. My question is ,is Alarielle the same goddess as Isha?
They are not very dissimilar in what they represent, but Isha is in a cage w/ Nurgle while alarielle Roams free
