I like the choir as well. You've clearly done your research on this, nice job, that background info adds something to the review. Glad you liked it, it's true that you get what you pay for.
Pricey, but apparently worth it. Okay that is the second one of your videos that I have watched today that has become notation worthy in my travel journal wish list for my next trip to Bangkok.
Visited here after watching your review. It was as great as you mentioned. That braised pork was awesome. I would love to eat that alone with some rice. Keep u the great reviews. :)
I am glad you enjoyed the meal. It is honestly some of the best food I have had in Bangkok. Just today I was contemplating going there again for lunch. I ended up spending 200 baht at a food court instead but would have done better spending just a hundred more to savour this very special meal.
Will have to seek out Bankara in Tokyo. Looks very good. Nice that there seems to be plenty of quality Japanese food in Bangkok. Wish the same could be said of Thai food in Tokyo. I suppose it's to be expected that "foreign" food of high quality would be quite expensive. Don't think your saving much if anything in Bangkok as that bowl would also be about 900 yen / 318 baht in Tokyo.
You are probably right there is little money saved buying this Japanese food in Thailand - same as with Western food in Thailand. Usually same price or more expensive unless it is popular fast food like KFC. Thanks for the comment, IKYK.
Check this place out if you want to do a comparison on ramen. Went last year thought it was very good, don't think it was that expensive. It's on Sukhumvit soi 23 Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen.
interesting as always. Try the amazing schwarma sandwiches near nana plaza. best middle esstern food i have ever had snd they use the real breas. Great place to people watch also
Got to stop watching half way through for now. If I don't I'll make instant ramen and go to be with a full stomach. Will watch the rest tomorrow over breakfast.
Rating the taste of food based on price is not good. By definition everything taste good if its free, even things that taste bitter or poor soggy texture.
LOL....I like the choir thing you introduced at 3:32
When words are not enough to describe the great taste - Only heavenly music will do :-)
I have to go here when I come back. That looked so yummy

I sill have fond memories of this meal - I gotta go back for more soon.

Thanks for the comment, Will. If you like the taste of meat then I think you will love this meal.

Waw, thumbs up Allen, great review of the Ramen pork overdose 👍👍👍
Thanks for the comment - Eyal. You summed up the food succinctly: A Pork overdose! That is exactly what it was.

Glad to see you in pork heaven ESB! I enjoyed a good bowl at Ippudo in Central Embassy as well. :o)
Thanks - good to hear from a fellow ramen lover :-)

Thanks for the tip - I'll make a note of that place and if in the area I'll try it out.
Their branch in Phromphong has more Japan feel to it.

Wierd charge service fee and tax later
It is becoming more and more common in Thai restaurants. I wonder who pockets the service charge though? The staff or the owners?
only plastic bowl look cheap ..
I don't recall the bowl being made of plastic - to be honest I was too focused on the food lol.
