Rounding out the year with a family Christmas is just the best. Was so nice to have my parents and Hannah's mom come over for xmas and spend the holiday with their grandson. He's still getting a hold of Christmas and what it means but was so fun with him this year.

Yeah!! They act like they are so perfect in their lives, like stop being so critical and leave the people alone. They can't even govern their own lives yet they are all always quick to correct what someone else is doing.
People tend to hold influencers to a higher standard then they would hold themselves. the annoying part about sharing glimpses of your life online is ppl taking things out of context & coming down so hard on you if they don't agree w it. You guys are incredible parents! I feel like people often speak as if they have never broken a rule. It is so easy to “advise” people of what is right, but forget that this was such an exciting moment to get that kick ass car for all. It was a very VERY controlled act of danger. I remember the first time my grandma let me drive her 1989 Plymouth horizon hatchback in pink at age 5 sitting on her lap, guiding my steering. There was no seatbelt, we went from my house to hers, which was a block away and I know something could have happened and we all think we’re invincible until we’re not, but I came out safely. Especially with her recent passing, I am happy that she blessed me with this lifelong memory of the first time I felt free listening to “Hey Jude” and having her tell me “I was a natural”. Preston is so young and might not remember this all exactly, but to see video footage of how excited the family was to get him this gift to one day drive is worth it all. I personally feel very nostalgic and special being able to witness this adorable moment. Love and prosperity to you all in the new year!!
Appreciate you guys and for addressing it even though you didn't have to, each and everyone of us make mistakes as imperfect humans, thank you for generously and genuinely sharing parts of your life with us.

We have all done it Brendan! I have ridden the 2 blocks from the house to the beach with the baby on a 4 wheeler. He is 23 now and still survived....miraculously according to him since I heated food in the microwave gasp! Used condiments from the fridge past their use by date and let him drink straight from the hose outside! Quelled horreur! Amazingly he lives and breathes. Born in New York and raised in New Zealand, he reminds me so much of your beautiful boy with a head full of curls the same. His father is black and I am a kiwi born and bred.... so I watch you all and smile. I am asked to this day how come a black child? My usual answer was 'well you f... a black man'...... but I have mellowed over the years and now just smile and walk away. Your beautiful baby boy will grow up to be a fine young man in spite of all the things you do trying to kill him just like I did with my son lol. Happy New Year!

Preston is the cutest! The fact that you addressed it shows maturity and no one cares about your baby’s well-being more than you do. People that make nasty remarks are the ones who dislike you or are envious of you and are unhappy with their own life. I concur with you that the world needs more kindness and positive energy. Oh my God! Living life on the edge! As anyone with any sense probably figured out on their own, you took the family on a “joy” ride in the “new” car. Didn’t look like you were headed back to New York or even to the grocery store. We have enough rules and regulations without being chastised for enjoying a spin around the block. Took me back to when I was kid. The good old days! Love the wagon!

Can’t imagine making all the parenting mistakes I (or my husband 😳) made in front of 100,000’s of eyeballs-once, while we were enjoying the outdoors, I was watering my garden, my husband tied our territorial dog to our son’s stroller (when he was younger than P) and just as I turned and noticed what he did, I saw out of the corner of my eye, the neighbors walking their dog. You can imagine what happened next-chaos ensued, our dog lunged in a flurry of barking, dragging our baby across the concrete driveway. Yep. Beautiful parenting moment. I am so grateful there was no such thing as social media, vlogging or the such at the time-we would’ve been crucified! By the way, son was fine, some superficial scrapes, but most importantly, no recollection of the event. Lighten up people!!!

It's a trip that when I was born that is how we rolled. No seat belt and no car seat. I literally sat on the lap of my sister in my pops Westfalia or BMW 635. How did most of us survive, lol. Btw, I also rode in the backs of pick up trucks.
