Damn chigaco med got some quality actors. You can feel her pain regardless if you have been in that situation or not.
Chigaco? ;)
Talk about an emotional and heartbreaking scene. Extremely glad to see onscreen African American women supporting each other.
I don't see how their race would be an important factor in this situation 😂😂
Sarah grace Race matters to some people more than others...
Why does it always have to be about race...ugh...can't we just enjoy the phenomenal acting here?
Anu R why can’t you just read and scroll on? Our race and heritage is important to us.
Sarah grace then it wasn’t for you to see. White people are so obsessed
Omg. April's character this episode.... my goodness. I don't even have the words. It was heartbreaking 😷. But Yaya played the role very well. Deep down I always knew she would lose the baby, but I didn't think the episode would be so emotional 😭. I can only imagine what will happen in the next episode when they remove the baby 😥
Hey
Tamara Johnson well they never did an episode of removing it so
Who's baby was it
@@myajaymal April baby died inside of her it called sleeping baby to remove it , the doctor give a medication to induce April to labor to push it out o little c-section , medication to miscarriage, abortion .... yea the writter didn't did show a little scene HOW.
What episode and season is this
This scene broke my heart. April deserved a child so much.
The moment you instantly cry because you can actually relate. I still think about my 2 everyday, and always will. Sorry to anyone else who had to go through a miscarriage before. They are worst than what people say. Heartbreaking.
I never cried, or maybe it's because I was going to abort anyway. I felt relived
I am very sorry for your loss...
how can you say something like that it was your baby who had a heart its disgusting that you felt rlelived
@@karinkatini9191 go cry about it 🥺😂
@@natalyascarlette7849 you think this is funny what would you if your baby died
How can one endure that and go back to work like nothing happened 😩😩😭😭😭😭😭 I would've lost it right then and there , I'm talking I wouldn't be able to breathe I'd be crying so hard and I most definitely wouldn't be getting up any time soon . Sorry April
Patita Valenzuela sorry you experienced that , and true . I know I may sound dramatic , t it takes almost little to nothing for me to lose it and get depressed . I've spent a majority of my life depressed thanks to ongoing cycle of bipolar 🤷🏽♀️ every time I lose someone , which has happened often the past few years , I jump back into life "fine " and then I slowly self destruct and fall apart . When I lost my grandad I almost starved to death from not being able to it and got so stressed I started having pseudo seizures that often left me partially paralyzed and jerky all the time . Lost my job and everything . I'm sure if I ever lost a child it would be worse , but who knows
IT's because they need the characters for the show. It's like Dr Manning took one month maternity leave. Unrealistic but they need her on the show. In reality she would have to book the surgery (and it can sometimes take a while to get in) then fast and disinfect and then after surgery have recovery with antibiotics. 1 in 4 pregnancies results in miscarriage so it is perfectly normal.
Everyone deals with grief differently. You may need time off and cry but like so many other women such as myself, when I had my miscarriage in 2014 after ultrasound had no heartbeat, I too dealt with it all while still going to work, being a mom to my toddler son and just not wanting my husband to see how badly it affected me, although he knew. So yes, sometimes we bury ourselves into things to help foster the pain. It took me till after the birth of my daughter a year later, to be able to speak on it.
Partly because it's a show and they're not always accurate with real life. Partly because people deal with grief differently. For me, I tend to push through it just like with all my depressed episodes. I'll feel empty sometimes, but I'm used to that feeling. I'm sorry that you deal with bipolar like that. I have my own mental health issues, so I know what it's like to feel that way. Trapped in a fog of depression where you don't anything for days. After my grandma died and some other stuff happened (serious abuse/bullying and other health issues), my anxiety issues and depression got worse to the point where I tried to take my life. I wish you well.
It takes time. It is different grieving mechanisms. Some people try avoiding it so they go back into work and try to not think of it .. keep busy but that doesn't work : it will bite them later especially when going back home or at moments of stillness. Children come to hospitals and your mind start wondering too. Some will take a leave for days - weeks or even months. My coworker took more than a month. Her pregnancies are difficult and she lost few before, this time she was ordered a bed stay and she carried her baby to 5 months. It is so hard when they grow bigger, you can feel it moving or feel a kick. It is also hard because some would not be able to work with babies again and request a transfer or a change of department. I know one nurse who asked to work in the male ward because she lost both of her children tragically and she doesn't want to interact or see mothers/babies. We all have our wounds
Yaya was phenomenal in this scene but I truly hope the writers actually let this be a pregnancy and not just a scare, and also les her actually have Ethan’s baby cuz I can’t see her go through another miscarriage
This is from the first season, not the current one.
This episode had me trying to hold in tears.... couldn't of course.
how tho
April: *gives masterful performance conveying loss, confusion, heartbreak, sorrow*
NBC: Do-do-do-do-do-dododo!
OMG this is heartbreaking she is such a good actor I love her
Stunningly beautiful, incredible smarts and an outstanding performer - what an actress!
I lost my baby 3 days ago due to missed miscarriage. I dont know when and why.. This scene hit me so hard.

I'm so sorry for your loss. 🙏 Take your time to mourn, they've been with us, no matter how far along, they deserved to be a memory. Please, take care. If you find yourself or your partner in need of professional help, don't hesitate to ask.
God bless you 🙏
Hugs sis
YaYa is winning....u don't always have to be the big winner to come out on top in the end. Major character on a major show.
The acting in this show is so damn good! Especially Yaya! This scene brings me to tears
How devastating. Miscarriages are so common (1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage) but it's still a heartbreaking and lonely path to take because people don't talk about it
Yaya played this perfect!
I want a friend like Maggie 😭
Sassy but caring
@@kaylee1062what episodes is this when she found out that she’s pregnant and this one
This was the first scene of Chicago Med I saw randomly going through channels on the TV and this acting alone intrigued me. Here I am now, watching every episode on time, kinda obsessing. Amazing show, amazing actors and actresses!
April is so beautiful
April and Maggie, just like Grey's Anatomy
and she and the dude will separate, making sure that there are no strong relationships on Tv,.
Who was the father
Strawberrycake*-* im not sure about her outside of work relationships but her main relationship on screen was with Dr. Choi. Dont know if he is the father but he was her boyfriend

April a top character like so many in this top show!!

She not only one going through this. I lost my pregnancy last Christmas I was only 6 weeks long.
I'm so sorry to hear that.
@@WarGrowlmon18 thank you for caring. We are doing better with the lost but we are going try again.
@@traceyann4509 I'm glad to hear that.
Worst pain honestly, I had my miscarriage at 12 weeks barely knew my child was growing in me, I got a Transvaginal ultrasound (at 6 or 7 weeks) but me and my obgyn didn’t hear a heart beat she said that since the baby was so small that the machine wasn’t picking up the sound. And at 12 weeks I had very bad cramping and bleeding ( like a big gush came out) I was able to get checked again that day just to be told I miscarried

I’m sorry that happened to you. It’s sad because we also can’t tell when it actually happens. The pain and bleeding doesn’t come until weeks have passed. This happened with me back in 2018. I didn’t expect a thing. Just woke up one morning and a crazy amount of blood was rushing down my legs. I would have been about 10- 12 weeks pregnant if that hadn’t happened.
Poor girl.... Great actor..
Lol anyone else clicked on to this vid thinking it was going to be about April fools day? Yea me neither😂
