NuCamp T@G XL Boondock Travel Trailer Tour (Unbiased RV Review)

  • This a COMPLETELY UNBIASED #RVReview of the 2021 NuCamp T@G XL Boondock.
    We thought this trailer was cool for itʼs size. We were impressed with the weight
    and tow ability and the fact that it had a nice #outdoorkitchen. We wished it came
    with a cooler that could also be 12V electric and we also wished there was some
    sort of handle or strap that would make pulling down the cover over the kitchen
    easier.
    We thought the T@G XL would be most suitable to the weekend/vactioner that
    really wanted to get off of the ground and not have to set up their cooking station
    but otherwise liked the idea of spending their time #outdoors.
    The #T@G is not a rig for extended stays or families unless some of the people were going to sleep in tents.

      Pretty much and I call my T@G a "Bed on wheels." When I got mine in 2015, there weren't any factory boondock versions yet. So I'm currently in the process now of converting mine to a boondocking T@G, but without the microwave

    as for the cooler is I bought an ice maker and make my own ice. another trick for the yeti cooler is have another to put drinks in that you get in and out of a lot. Don`t keep opening the yeti cooler and the ice will last for a couple days depending on the weather outside,
    Also I have the Nucamp Tag XL boonedock and the only thing I wish it had was an outside 110 outlet. I personally don`t like the 3 inch matresse`s that come with it. I have a foldable cot I use that sets up 8 inches off the floor and it allows you to store items under it.
    And as for the sink drain yes it does drain strait to the ground but you can drain into a bucket or container or you can ad a garden hose to drain it away from camper. also I am going to pick me up a colapsable hose so you dont have to carry a bulky water hose around with you all the time if you go somewhere to have electric and water hookup. Also make sure you always have a water pressure reducer for these. some campgrounds have high water pressure and the tag xl can only handle up to 50 psi water pressure. I carry 2 of these.

  • @MidwestJourneys
    @MidwestJourneys 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice look at the 2021 T@g! As far as the sink question, you are correct. There is a drain under the sink. We typically connect a small length of hose to it (approximately 1ft), and run that into a collapsable bucket. Then we just empty the bucket as necessary.

      They are pricy but they seem to be selling well so I guess folks think they are worth it. We hope you are enjoying the one you have. Thanks for confirming the drainage situation. We get that it isn't unheard of to drain a sink to the ground, it's just not our personal preference. We would even rather see a bucket put in place to capture the drainage for it to be disposed of elsewhere. No need to attract bugs, rodents or bigger things and it would just be nicer for the camper that comes into the spot next. We appreciate you sharing and thanks for watching

They have stacked the two twin mattresses and are able to fit a small folding table, their porta-potty and even a small recliner inside. Remember those are CAN$ and yes they are expensive but whether they are worth it or not is subjective. In your opinion they may not be worth it personally, but they are flying off of lots at these prices so clearly to most buyers they are ok with the price. The buyers in the market determine what something is actually worth and then that's what we are all left with.
