    The first mega crew vid of the FED group, they had about 2 days of practice time because they had both North and South dancers and the first dancers had their own jobs, but that didn't mean their vid lacked quality and that they can train all 50 dancers to dance evenly and cleanly in 2 days is a very good thing

      @Hamstermesua หลายเดือนก่อน +20

      And another interesting thing here is that the wavy part was changed because the group had previously created the choreography to depict the country of Vietnam, but for some reason the choreography was changed at the last minute.

      I don’t doubt their quality whatsoever! Always impressive for crews to pull off a MC performance with less than 3 months time….. it’s something they should all be proud of and I really wish that the platforms hosting the franchise would allow more time for these challenges…

      Not really 2 days of pratice time. Sure they only have all of the dancers in the last 2 days but they practiced with other dancers before that plus I'm pretty sure they send the helpers videos/tutorials beforehand.

    it was rumored that fed's formation at 16:20 was originally shaped like the letter S (the shape of Vietnam) and the 4 dancers waving in the middle of the formation represented Truong Sa and Hoang Sa islands but due to the production, they couldn't keep that in

  • @andrewofthevu
    @andrewofthevu หลายเดือนก่อน +27

    7:38 yeahhh, the instrumentals for FED's performance definitely have the essence of Vietnamese culture but not in the same way as OOPS' if that makes sense. OOPS' instrumentals was definitely more traditional and focused on ethnic characteristics while the trumpets/horns and the delivery of the first lyrics in FED's song choice remind me of patriotism but in a militaristic sense. FED's outfits with the embroidered cranes on top of camo print matches that militaristic theme and then the star at the end, which I assume is supposed to represent the Vietnam flag, also matches the patriot concept.

      Gotcha!!! Makes a lot more sense and I appreciate you taking the time to talk through the potential formation and costuming choices that influenced their set overall! Much appreciated!

    I just love the spirit of SSWarriors performance indeed 🥺 Real street dancer real battler 🙇‍♀️ They're not experienced in choreography much that's why TTTT Little worried but I really hope they could join the finale 🙇‍♀️

    tbh i really wished the street franchise gives crews at least a month for them to prepare for megacrew missions. its just kinda sad seeing how many crews from swf1, smf, swf2 talk about the things they couldve done if they had enough time cause 2-3 weeks for a megacrew is way too short

    • @jess_holyfield
      @jess_holyfield  หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      @@renzjarredhsantiago3985 COMPLETELY agree…. Because what sucks is that the general public will not be considerate of the “difference” in time between these MC and a typical one on the Internet. My heart hurts for them because I want them all to feel and enjoy the process and this show does NOT allow for that… like ever

      Like at 1:15:21, yes, it's called lucky knot, which would usually be seen in Tet Holiday/Lunar New Year/or any other traditional Vietnamese holiday. They mostly are for decoration but as the name suggests, they also are used to wish good luck, also, they are usually made red, with some golden details on them, i think Oops did that one formation perfectly and i love it so much.

      @@jess_holyfield So apparently I was wrong about this, so sorry about that. They were trying to create the shape of the Wild Orchid, which is a type of Forest Flowers as their performance's name suggested. I have always seen it as Nút đồng tâm which means lucky knot so that was embarrassing lol.

      So I did get to watch the episode! (It will get released from Patreon later tonight!) and personally I felt that a lot of the feedback seemed a bit broad and wasn’t as easy to implement compared to what I think they could have used (sswarriorz needed more solutions personally because they weren’t in a position compared to other crews with a heavy choreography toolkit, so I was really feeling for the groups!) loved that they got 1MIL on it!

    Oops has a better lineup and shooting style. Their creativity is quite amazing. However, their dancing skills are too weak. Their perform are good but I don't see any highlight, no climax, perhaps because of the way they chose the music.
    About FED, I feel the music is good, has highlights with guests. They danced very "clean" and their energy was also very good. It feels like all 50 people have equal dancing skills, but the 5 main dancers still shine. It's hard to say what I regret about FED megacrew. Hmmm, maybe I expected more from them. I look forward to seeing more new dance moves from them. Their playing style seems a bit safe.
    SSW, their lineup has many parts that are very confusing to watch, like a mess when they move. Doesn't convey any message through their performance other than that they are warriors? Although there are many hiphop techniques installed, it didn't make me WOW because I was too confused with the mess they made. And they dance unevenly.
    Anyway, I choose FED Group for this episode.
    * Sorry for my bad english *

    I feel like the quality of SSWarrior's video was compromised by poor shooting and editing choices that made the dance look worse than it actually was. For example, one of the dancers mentioned that they nailed the acrobatic jump at 1:00:53 in most takes, but the producer chose to include the one take where they made a mistake in the final cut. This decision unfairly reflects their performance and doesn't show their best work. Same as in Kpop Mission, when the producer gave them ugly af outfit and kept the video so extremely dark that we could barely see their dance.

    • @naibuu9164
      @naibuu9164 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      what, i've never known about that, it's so unfair.. 😭 I mean I did wonder why mistakes could be seen when there should be lots of different tasks. Also lots of people said that the camera directions (or angles) were so bad it affected the final megacrew 🥲

    • @naibuu9164
      @naibuu9164 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      1:00:53 also yeah the camerawork is so bad 😭😭 it zooms out and exposes the two helpers in the empty area there when the only point that needs to be focused is that acrobatic jump ☠️

    With oops i just feel they have such strong creativity and creation skills, they just lack the movement quality and foundations to express them to the fullest. Ofc, the short time frame to create a MEGA CREW should also be considered for the groups. Overall, they have so much potential, but were overserved with the points

    Because of how the show label Opps with the title "Kpop cover group" audience and some dancer in the show i feel have been looking down at the group. Meanwhile they have stop doing cover a while ago and now focus more on creating their own dance that center around Vietnamese culture. As a matter of fact, Opps have done a lot of crew dance that i would really like you to check out if you have time.
