Nice! Them chub could grow big in there , certainly worth trying were rivers run in ! And they like a lure to . Never thought chub would be in loch lomond!!
Looks like a fun day on the loch, some lovely fish, I don't course fish and I had no idea a permit was required on Lomond. As it was a Monday and I was out on the Clyde I kept an eye out for some Kayakers, but you were clearly elsewhere! My highlights were a nice Spurdog and a Male Cuckoo Wrasse (amongst the usual sorts of things including vast shoals of mackeral)
Always pointless weighting those slimy fish . it's either small , medium or big . That one was medium putting a bend in the rod . Next time we'r out to sea we will chap one and weight it . Just to see .
@@NicolasValentinScotland No need to chap one to weigh it , don’t need to weigh them at all, just need the experience to tell a 7lb from a 15lb fish , 😂
@@jessebongo46 I think loch lomond fishing association hoover all the money and rightly enough not a penny is spend on restocking the loch . There is no need to stock it since no fish can be taken from the loch . There is also many poaching incident so I guess bailiff must be paid to control the water .
@@mattwright2964 Those fish are doing much better than any salmon or sea trout . I think there is about 19 species in the loch . Coarse anglers from the South have introduced those fish particularly the Ruffe used as a live bait , they are all doing well . Coarse fishing brings massive revenue to the association , there is no stocking policy .

There is a small river flowing in loch Lomond with chub in it , I guess they enjoy a little tour in the big loch .
@NicolasValentinScotland , we have them in a few reservoirs , they don't get caught often, what's the biggest been caught up there
@@stephenhollinrake916 over a pound some are in the Loch.

To catch Spurdogs in the Clyde is quite incredible , we never had one , ever .
@ I know you like a long paddle, but this was probably a bit too far out for the kayak and it was in 100metres of water
@LibertasScotland it's never too far .

That first roach looked like a Rudd. Look at the mouth for top of the water feeding compared to the later roach?
there is some hybrids in there .
Never blank never ever ever 🎣
It will not happen !
I reckon that first pike was 7 lb ish , never 15 !
Not a chance

Yes we all pay £75 for the right to fish , catch and release .

How have chub and bream got into Loch Lomond, a natural wild salmonid water. Is this yet another result of irresponsible introductions?
