Hello, I have a few doubts still, as there are soo many layers to be considered in this, like UCG accreditation, state vs private Universities, the H+ or H+/- status in anabin database etc.
what about state Universities which don't have the H+ status, or even worst aren't present in the anadin database even if they have UCG accreditation? what about private Universities which have the H+ status but aren't UCG accredited? what about students from a H- or H+/- university had got their APS certificate before this news, but they still are in the application phase and haven't yet applied for a VISA, so are they going to face problems with the VISA in the future?
There are alot of possible scenarios and layers which makes this whole thing so frustratingly complex and confusing....

I think you need to mention the term college as well cause this is confusing for people who are likely to study abroad.
I have my plans to study my masters this fall intake in germany. I applied for my APS and also received the certificate. Apart from this my Uni for B.E. is H+/- but i have received my APS, still pending for admission letter from german uni for intake. Does this mean i will face issues in securing admissions as well?

Doesn't matter....all Pune University are H+ and doesn't matter what branch you are in if your are getting your results from "PUNE"

I have a doubt. So, let's say a student from a H- or H+/- university had got their APS certificate before this news, but they still are in the application phase and haven't yet applied for a VISA, so are they going to face problems with the VISA in the future?
Edit: Another scenario, what about state universities which are approved by UCG or worst but have H- or H+/- status, or worst, they aren't in anabin database at all??

How can I update my IELTS score on APS certificate ?
Hi, I have a very big confusion cause of this new rule. I have completed my college from S.S. Jain subodh College and its affiliated by University of Rajasthan. University of Rajasthan is H+ accreddited but Subodh isn't. I have received by bachelors degree and it is from University of Rajasthan but my marksheets are from S.S.Jain subodh. So will I be eligible for APS? Following that my other doubt was that I have applied for APS in May so thats before this policy and I have mailed APS that will I receive my certificate as I have applied for my certificate prior to this rule. They told me that my application will be considered as I have applied before June 18th. So If I get the APS certificate and if my college is not under H+ so will it affect my VISA or german studies.
All that matter is the Degree-awarding University for your college. If your Degree-awarding university is H+, then no problem at all.. irrespective of your college.

Good news. It is confirmed with APS India. Those who have applied before 18th will still get APS without any new criteria.

If your university (college) is not on this list, that means your university might be under something.
In my case, my college is Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. My college is affiliated with Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha (both are mentioned in my certificate).
When I searched with my college's name, I did not find anything. When I searched for what my college is affiliated with, I found it.

What if your university is stated as h+ ( delhi university) but your degree name is not even in the anabin website ( bvoc software development) 😂😂
All degrees issued by H+ institutions are recognised. Only status unclear institutions have some valid and some invalid degrees, while all degrees from H- institutions are invalid. So any DU university would be recognised, but whether it'd be equivalent is another matter. All 3 year Indian bachelor degrees, as far as I know, are not fully equivalent to a German bachelor degree. A four year degree at a H+ institution is however, equivalent to a three year German bachelor degree
A bit shocking that CEPT, one of the most prestigious ones for studies in the built environment, is still marked "ungeklärt"!

Hi! I'm from a h+/h- institute in kolkata, currently in my 2nd year, almost going to be third. What if I apply before 18th with my first three semester marksheet and provisional BTech certificate? Can I pay the fees before 18th and mail them the documents later or does it have to be within 18th itself? I mean to say, do you think there is any chance of getting a aps certificate if I apply today itself, transfer the amount and send them the courier within 10 days? (After 18th)

I have the same doubt as you, if I somehow apply for APS by Tonight or Tomorrow and send the doc so that it reaches them within a week (not sure before or after tomorrow), will they still issue me the APS? Even after my college's status being H+/-? Or will they not?

So basically every small college in city in order to provide degree needs to be affiliated to a district level University.
All the activities of the affiliated college right from admissions to announcing results are overseen by the university.
I didn't knew this as I was still not in college.😅
So I came to the conclusion that is,
Every school/college/institute that are affiliated to an university that is UGC approved are qualified for APS.

I'm from a Private Indian University. When I took the admission, my university was H+ and a few of my seniors from the same course as mine have gone to germany for masters in the past. Now the thing is my private university has changed to H+/- now in 2024 and it's UGC accredited too. So the question- Is there any solution to make the university H+ or any other way to overcome this hurdle if I want to study for masters in 2025. (If there is no solution then should I start looking at other countries?)

Did you check your University in the Anabin website? Check it once. Your University may still be H+. If it is, get your APS ASAP as it's valid lifelong.

If it is affiliated to any other University, check for that and search that University if it's listed your university is also eligible

My private Indian University was H+ when I took the admission and few of my seniors went to germany for masters and now in 2024 it's H+/- . I'm not sure what's the solution for this and yes my university is UGC accredited.

Samsies. Its good to be from state recognized university, but at the same time the chances of these universities forcing you to choke on unnecessary language subjects and electives even in unrelated degree fields for "cultural" reasons is also too high :/

All the colleges are affiliated with a university so check for the affiliated University for you collage if that university is present anabin with H+ status then you're eligible

All that matter is the Degree-awarding University for your college. If your Degree-awarding university is H+, then no problem at all.. irrespective of your college.

In my mark sheet they highlight their college name not university name just write permanently affiliated with so on so university.... is it ok to apply???

You guys don't need to freak out; apply for aps in the same way as others, your application will be reviewed and not be rejected at first shot.
