What Kanae talked about with FF is not exactly a mod per se, but it is a third party tool. But technically it doesn't affect your game files like mods normally do since all it does is read your battle data. But since I'm not super fluent calling it a Mod is probably the correct term . . .

Thank you for the explanation. I wasn't so sure about the FF part because I don't play it, and it's the same with MH as well. I think what he's talking about is actually a third party app as well since I use it myself. It's not exactly a mod, but more of an overlay. I translated it to "mod" because that's what he said. @@UshodaSubs for the FF it's called the ACT(Active Combat Tracker). A plug-in type parser(mainly for dps). Not a mod. Quite controversial yes but strictly speaking(by the game director himself) is not ban-able if you use it to monitor your own performance. They can't detect it either. But say if you use it to "judge(bad mouth)" others' performance and talk about it(ss on forums and whatnot) then you can be banned.

@@gelade an add-on is a modification basically a mod. ik that people dont like the word mod in games cuz generally think its a cheat. advantage of some sort. there are kinds of mod but not all for adv. its what we call QOL "quality of life" mod.
