• 1೦೦% ರುಚಿಯಾದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಎಷ...
Ingredients:
Medium Rava - 1 Glass ( 200 Ml or Approx 200 gms)
Oil - 5 Tbsp
Mustard Seeds - Few
Urad Dal - 1/2 Spoon
Channa Dal - 1/2 Spoon
Cashews - 15 No.
Green Chilli - 4 Nos.
Ginger - 1 Inch
Curry Leaves
Onion - 1 Finely Chopped
Water - 2.5 Glasses (Boiling)
Salt To Taste
Sugar - 1/4 Spoon
Cooked Vegetables - Carrot, Bean, Peas(or any vegetables of your choice)
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Spoon
VangiBath Powder - 1/4 Spoon
Fresh Grated Coconut - 3 Tbsp
Coriander Leaves - Few
Lemon - 1/2

Hi amazing looking kharabat thanks for this recipe ilke to coocking but I don't know how to coocking but I will try soo many kharabat videos but this is Very unique
U should have added vegetables and turmeric in the oil instead of adding later
Yes otherwise vegetables will not get cooked
She has added cooked beans and carrots

We make uppittu or khara bath by adding roasted rava to boiling water after adding all seasoning and vegetables. The advantagw in our method is it allows us to adjust salt by tasting the seasoned water before adding rava. Otherwise there is no difference in look ir taste in both methods.
I don't know if hotels make khara bath in the method shown here, but this is North Karnataka style uppittu.
As I said both ways give good tasty uppittu.

I tried your method and I got fantastic result. My wife and kids loved it. Usually they don't like upma. But today they ate happily and 2nd serving too.
I used Bombay rawa and wheat rawa, 50:50 because I didn't have medium rawa.
But your method is super.

I roast the rava first and then add to the already cooking vegetables with salt in the boiling vegetable water and stir and cook in medium heat .Either way it tastes good.I don't add vangi bath powder in the end.😚.I will add it and see next time.

My brother was working for a coffee estate near SAKLESHPUR
I completed my SSLC from st.joseph's high school in 1968.

Though i used to pass HASSAN during my trips to India i never attended to stop by my school
Now we are planning to come down to India next February on long holidays i am sure will stop by for at least couple of days and see around

With slght difference in method it is called Upma or Uppit arround Kolhapur. There is one similar but different item in Maharashtra now rarely known and forgotten called SANJA.

Excessive oil no doubt gives good taste but can any one suggest low oil kahara bath? good video
Dry roast the rava and keep aside. Add measured quantity of water to the fried seasonings, steamed veggies let it boil then add the roasted rava. This way you use less oil..
