Many fitness influencers need to see this man as an example because most only show the moments of the proces where everything is going well. It gives the audience the wrong image of reality.

Noel. Thank you. I am a competitive fighter and had to have surgery last year. It was devastating to put training on hold and watch my training partners go on to compete without me, especially as some were taking on their first world level competitions, which is my biggest goal right now. It felt like my life was ending. My physique experienced some atrophy too and that gave me all sorts of body dysmorphia. Then of course there was building myself back up, getting frustrated, and wondering if I’d ever be the same again. Almost a year later, it feels silly that I put myself through so much mentally because of the situation. Something great that came out of the whole thing is it gave me a lot more time to focus on weights, there were just so many limitations on my cardio. Now I’m finally reaching a point where I think I’m ready for the ring again, and I know a lot more about who I am as a person, the kinds of shit I can overcome. I also know a lot more about being grateful because there are great people out there like you inspiring others to look at the bigger picture. Much love bro!

@@gigachad6117 thanks brother! I herniated my disc in my lower spine by using improper form on bench press with too much weight. I was going by myself at the time and had no spotter. When I couldn’t get the bar up I panicked and arched my back to help push the weight off of me. No one was around to help me so I managed to get it onto the first bar holder. After the bench my back felt strange walking around, and then two weeks later I noticed a prominent pain jutting down my leg every time I got up. Please be careful out there! Gym related injuries are serious, but luckily for me I can recover pretty quick because of my age. Hope that helps!

Last year, I had to have a corrective surgery on my right foot; misaligned bones from birth plus extra vestigial bonemass on my instep were causing me immense pain. In order to operate on my foot, the doctor had to disconnect my calf muscle so that he wouldn't have to go through my heel.
The cast comes off and after rehab, I could walk again. Problem is all the strength I had in my right foot and calf was gone; one of my legs looked like it skipped leg day lmao. Plus there's a big lump of scar tissue on my leg as well.
A year later and I'm still trying to get my strength back in that leg and the scar tissue is still there. Nevertheless, I'm training calves like a madman. It's very hard to train calves when you essentially only have one good calf, but I'm doing all I can. My right leg will not appear to have skipped leg day forever ❤
