My goodness, I could listen to that intro drum + synth groove literally all day. This came up on my instagram only a week or two ago and Roni has already become one of my favorite drummers/songwriters.
Achei que só eu tivesse percebido isso! Fiquei curioso sobre qual a referência que ela pegou pra essa parte. Ou é herança brasileira ou herança africana. Considerando que isso foi gravado em Paris, acho q vem direto da fonte na África.
Great performance! Besides your astonishing drumming I love very much the tone of the bass especially during the drum solo. Does everybody know what effect use the bass player in that section?
What in the afoxé name is that beat in the verse? I love to see afro brazilian drum grooves associated with world pop music... Edit: WHAT IS THAT SOLO? HOW DO YOU ARRANGE A GLITCHY SOUND FILE? THAT WAS AMAZING! *LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!* If I'm not wrong, that beat on the verse is an IJEXÁ, an afro-brazilian rythym that is a cornerstone of brazilian folk music...
Great! By the way, where is this (live) club in Paris? I'm so pleased that it recorded the whole band with such great sound! Recording drums at a live performance is greatly influenced by the acoustics of the club, so the recording engineering is also great.
Love it ! Please release it on spotify
Please please please
YES
The drums and reharmonization is so cool here. Excellent cover!!

Beautiful you sing and play
I like this so much more than the og, that djent-ish part is so unreal
At 0:24 looks like a brazilian rythm called "Ijexá" ❤
