I have never clicked a link so fast. 😂 I’ve been telling my husband about a tool (I couldn’t remember what it was!) that could cut roots and was a shovel. We’ll thank you Kim! I just bought it and now I can dig up these huge awful Japanese privet shrubs in my front yard.
Hi Kim - I’m moving roses and adding more hydrangeas to the garden. I always like moving things around. Our gardens are never finished especially with new inspirations
Thanks for encouraging us to dig up plants that have issues with or don't bring us joy. Thoughts: to help build your channel out a thought I had. Speed up the time you are putting into digging up those plants, lingering on the butterfly, getting distracted & etc. Then put something else in place for your video time .....show us the plants you dug up (all your hard work), Can't wait to see the plants in place.
Yup, totally agree with you. At some point, you just look at a plant you've looked at for years and just admit, don't like you, and you don't like me either. For me, it's the perennial daisy. I have an ancient plant that's been moved, divided, staked, you name it and it still doesn't do right. I'm done.
Hey Kim, I was at Wilson's this week. They told me you had been in the day before. I live in Rock Hill, SC and go to Wilson's all the time. I'm so glad to see them bring in Proven Winners plants. They are so hard to fine around Rock Hill.
I believe that swallowtail was a female, because of the blue on the bottom. 🦋 Besides the Japanese privets, we’re moving some old Indian hawthorns that are too close to the house. When we moved in a few years ago, the shrubs were not maintained or planted correctly, so now we want to just yank them all out put something pretty in there.
Great video Kim, I agree with you, if a plant doesn’t perform well dig it up. I bet I have planted a dozen Cats Meow and Pajamas and they just don’t do anything for me. I just keep trying and then digging them up. Love your choice of new plants. 🪴
zone7b memphis, moving butterfly bush , planting midnight sun wigela moving my monet wigela. my encore azaleas are burning in my full sun. its always something lol
Hi Kim! I'm in zone 8a in Georgia. I will be getting rid of some Baby Gem boxwoods that keep turning brown. I wouldn't have bought them if I knew that they tend to turn brown. I'm not sure if I will keep my azaleas or move them in another spot. I will be moving my little limes and hosta to another location.

Don’t know how much sun your azalea was getting but my encore azalea”s need direct sun to bloom three times a year.
